In this video I would like to share with you how to make wafer paper Hawaiian Ginger. It's a very unique, bright, and colorful tropical flower that will be a great decoration for tropical cakes! I can vividly see how awesome this flower will look on blue ocean and beach inspired cakes, or will be a star of colorful cakes with Hibiscus flowers, pineapples, parrots, and tropical greenery! Wow! I need a vacation :)

Beautiful! Did you use airbrush color or regular gel colors?
I use gel food colors and just a little bit of coloring liquid (1 tbsp of water, 1 tbsp of vodka, and 1tsp of glycerin).

Would love to see the consistency of the saturated color. I feel that level of saturation is hard so I would have liked to seen how you achieved it. It would also be nice to see in what order you placed which size petal.

To color the petals and leaves I used just a little bit of coloring liquid. For me the best way to achieve a vibrant color is dipping the brush into pink, red, and brown gel colors, and then slightly dipping it into coloring liquid (mostly to moisten the brush and help the colors to spread easily on wafer paper).
I attached the petals in the same order as in the template: 7 petals, then 25, 8 and 7. For more realistic look of the flower you can color the last 4 petals using same green colors as for the leaves.
