Hello, just found your channel, and really like some of the equipment! The bagged honey...where from? also your perfect sized fermenters wide mouthed with the tap. Where did you source these? I like the idea of small batch and experimenting, so please guide me! Patreon donation coming...
The bagged honey is from a guy named Shawn Harris who runs Who Kele Honey. hawaiianhoneywaokele.square.site Another company that does it is called Hawaiian Honey AT&S. The big mouth fermenter is here: www.morebeer.com/products/farro-glass-carboy-wide-mouth-airlock-lid-carrying-harness-1.html
The first mead I made almost a year ago was a carbonated lemon ginger Mead. I accidentally put 3 time as much lemon juice as I intended. It was the last step after my late shift. It’s getting smoother over time. I’ve made several that people really liked. Just takes practice and learning from your mistakes.😅🥃
I quite enjoy your 1 gallon recipes. I tried making your Strawberry Vanilla mead following your 3 gallon recipe and it came out tasting so plastic-y 😅 kinda blegh 😂 Maybe ill try again someday without the seeds. Haha But this recipe sounds very pleasant!
Wow, I am excited to try this one. But I do have 2 questions. 1st, am I understanding that this is only about 3 to 4 weeks old when you are drinking it? Second, to make a 5gal batch, should I multiply everything by 5? Thanks for your work and thoughts.
Yeah! With this being so low ABV it turns out super quick. It was about a month old when I drank it. For a larger batch just multiply everything except the yeast by 5! You might have to use at least 5 grams of yeast for a 5 gallon batch
I would love to see you make a red cabbage brew, a self acid testing brew, as the color changes with the pH. I tried and it has a slight off smell the whole time because of it being cabbage but it tastes perfectly fine. It would be the only brew that you wouldn't need a pH test strip to test it because it tests itself.
I made a low abv cucumber melon with cantaloupe. One of my best. I froze the cucumber though and added it all in primary.
That sounds super interesting!
Just made cucumber water and started thinking of trying a cucumber mead so this video is god sent
I'm happy it's helped! Let me know how this turns out for you!

This is a perfect mead for Summer. I can’t wait to try it.

That's super interesting! I haven't had a lot of that come from strawberries in the past but I have tasted others that have had it!
@@ManMadeMead I am by no means an expert, so maybe I messed something up. Haha But I'll just have to try again one of these days.
Definitely gonna be brewing this up this weekend. If I was to try something different. I might go with juniper berries. Thanks

Really Appreciate Your Video , Thanks ! 🐯🤠

Did you add any additional acids or tannins?
I didn't for this one!

Very interesting recipe!
Did you submit the bottle carbonated version to the competition or force carbonated version?
Force carbonated!
Can I cold steep the cucumbers in just the water or do I need to make the must?
I would put them in the mead post fermentation!
Nice win bro 🎉
Thank you!
Please stop saying spa water 😅 I keep imagining people in a spa just scooping up the water they are soaking in and drinking it 🤣
