I've spent countless hours over the years trolling the internet, watching every video of shaping, design and construction I can possibly find. And what strikes me is how radically different he is. No one else is doing what he's doing.
I really enjoyed watching this episode and listening to the conversion. Even though foiling is an individual activity, it’s truly a social sport that people can experience from all perspectives. Thank you both for sharing! 🙌🙌
Balz is such a great embasador for wind sports. Thanks so much for sharing the stoke and information. I ride sabfoil and agree the 799 is awesome and the 999 completes the quiver.
Hey Ted. I’m interested in the 799 and 999. I weigh 180 and have my jibes down but not tacks (yet). Think the 799 may be too unstable for me? In the San Francisco Bay there are lots of days of 18 mph + winds. Thanks for your thoughts. I use a SabFoil 950 with a 370 stab primarily now.
The 799 is an easy and stable foil to use, Kelly (which you may have seen is quite a few of our videos) loves it, and she’s got her jibes down and now working on tacks. wingfoilprocenter.com/collections/foil/products/sabfoil-wm799-front-wing-medusa-799
Thanks for the kind words, we are here to help! And with the shop we just started, we would be stoked to get you set up with everything you need to progress and have fun! 🙏🙌

Had the pleasure of meeting Balz in Cabarete D.R. with Team Edelweis , he is a great spokesman for this sport he is like a diabetic in a candy shop. Go Radilico!
we all love the crazy overhead rotations, but don‘t underestimate the dancing/carving flatwater moves.. so starting with carving then sliding 360 variations to eventually jump frontside 360
Easily one of the best, better than 90% of all foilers, gets all his stuff for free, worries more about durability and longevity than weight and trend.
to be Swiss he is very nice and open, however he is absolutely right about everything: pro winger, board that weighs 10 kg, average front appearance and easy and fun equipment; Fifty-year-old Sunday winger, super light full carbon board rigorously under its own weight, front with a very high aspect and sharp as a Japanese katana; and it does nothing, in fact it complicates life by always blaming the equipment
My wife was so annoyed … I was at the Alaska event where Damien was when I got a dear John message. It started with “ you snd your Fkn kiting , I’m moving out !” I was distraught Only one thing helped . I pumped up and up kited 😂
Such a happy man! I've never heard him speak before, it's a blast of positive energy! A real waterman.
His job is not a job. Happiness and positivity formula!!!
I love this guy and his way of thinking

Possibly the best Balz interview I've seen. And both of you working in a second language. Good job guys and thanks.
You've got to love this guy! Thanks for inspiring me/us and all the positive energy, creativity and "go-play" mentality you bring about.
8:45 useful footstrap tip on being tight on sides but still giving room for the foot to twist when things go wrong
what a refreshing change in crazy times like ours. Positivity, Fun, Dedication - gotta love it🙌
This is what i call a nice person! Nice to see that he uses equipments that someone would say are not for pros. Congrats for this interview!

Glad to hear you’ve got a shop! Have you done a video on it?
Great video! Very useful chat on this evolving sport. I like seeing nice people having fun and sharing their knowledge
Good interview guys! Balz is such a likeable dude :)
Such a great inspiration! Breaks it down to the basics - stop being picky about material go ride and enjoy!
Well said!
Awesome, love the energy and stoke 🤙
Great interview, I totally agree with durability being more important than having the lightest weight.
Thank you for the video!! We love Balz!❤
The WL1350 is a gamechange in lightwind. Endless Wingfoiling, pumping easily through the lulls...
We love it!
Loved the long format vid!
I love his enthusiasm for water sports with foils. Larry
Balz is the best!
thank you so much for this amazing video!! 🙌
Best part is when he said "lose some weight and you can ride a smaller board". Love it.

Such energy with this one ;p
Wholesome dude!
Love this guy !!!
Super Cool!
Question: what is the order that I should learn tricks in? I am eager to learn but I don’t want to overprogress in some areas and not others.

@@radiculo thanks!
Yheaaaaaa!!! Amazing
Awesome 👏

The 799 is the best foil sabfoil has!
Agreed! :)
What board bag is that?
Balz is great!

what was the board bag company's name
Foilboardcompany
Does anybody knows how much Balz Muller weights ?
I believe 70-75kg
My wife was so annoyed … I was at the Alaska event where Damien was when I got a dear John message.

I was distraught
Only one thing helped .

Super usgrüschtet Balz👍
This foil has washout which any designer worth their salt would include. Many of these foils ignore the basics of fluid dynamics.
Thank you! Great review! Love my 799+945+1350 setup :)
Such a great quiver!
