- We had a day trip out of Salt Lake City to Bozeman, Montana, then to San Francisco, then back to Salt Lake City. We had some amazing views of snow covered mountains into Bozeman. We also had a beautiful parallel approach into SFO with a Southwest Airlines Boeing 737. Unfortunately, the sun had just gone down, so the video was not the best going into San Francisco, look closely for the B737 on the left!
The chemistry between them was undeniable. Sure do miss them
Sure do miss seeing you & John in the cockpit. Your chemistry and professionalism were unmatched and one can tell that you two just meld as one. Much more so than your current co-workers. Miss these videos. Would love an update on John.
I sure miss these days Shaun with you and Jon cruising around, I really do ;-(
These two cats have the most cohesive and fluid back and forth ! One would hope all crews were as such!
Shawn I know you are probably glad you moved on to your new job, but, I gotta tell you I miss you and John together. Nobody else seems to be quite as good as he was. I still enjoy watching your old Presidential 69 videos. Be safe as always. Chip 😎
I like the fact that despite all your combined flight hours, you guys still appreciate the beauty and majesty of the view from the cockpit, and talk about it.
These Guys are the best, so honest, no snobbery, I'm loving it... :)
Damn straight - lovin it too. Also damn professional. Nothing interrupts the mission
I agree. Complete professionalism. So refreshing.
you two played so well off of each other..........miss the good old days
Probably my favorite video of yours! I can't get me enough Montana. And the parallel approach was fantastic. Great editing too! When we talked crossing the Gulf, I think you guys only had 2,000 subs. Now you are up to 25K and climbing! Nicely done!
Thank you! You have no idea how much it means hearing that from someone like yourself. We decided to start this channel because of inspiration from channels like yours and Baron Pilot's. I hope all is well for you!
Hi. I'm flying enthusiast. Recently subscribed. Love your cockpit demeanour.
Love every video you guys make. Long days, short nights. The life of a corporate/charter pilot:)
Sweet.......again. Thanks for the video. Looking forward to the next one. Stay safe.
Hi from London and even my wife is enjoying your channel. Thanks for taking the time producing such high quality videos and would be good to learn more about your career path into Corporate flying. Looking forward to sharing many more trips with you both.
The best to watch. These guys are the best example of Cockpit Resource Management. Very sterile flight deck as they are all biz. I actually flew Presidential from FXE to MRY about 7 years ago, probably before they were doing these videos. Needless to say it was a great flight.
Great work guys. Never knew how much pilots have to do in the cockpit. Amazing insight.
Just awesome to be flying with you guys. Feels like I’m right there with you. Thanks for having us along. 😊👍✈️
Nice to see the flight from this side, I spent years giving the old...."Descend to cross Cedes at maintain 11000 250 knots, SFO altimeter....." or the more dreaded... proceed direct Cedes to hold S.E. as published maintain FL200 leg length your discretion EFC at 2200, time now 2115...I loved working the flow, the general recreational aviation was always fun to weave in and out.
Great videos
These are great rides for those of us that never get higher or faster than a Baron. Love to hear some technical stuff! Thanks for posting these...
Awesome video, and the Montana footage was just beautiful! Thanks for having us along, it is appreciated.
And they’re back!!! Shaun and John The best duo in aviation 👍
Thanks Shaun for republishing these!
« Top of the box » , you have to love john’s phraseology 😉
I have to compliment both of you on your professionalism! Great informative videos!!!
Thank you!
Bozeman was beautiful. Thanks for all the mountain footage.
Before I go home I watch this video AGAIN to go in a good mood. Thank you guys. Fly safe and always have fun.
Best aviation channel out there , love it
I love hearing that! Thank you!
I'll second that!!
Niiiiice!!!! Love the Parallel Approach with the 737!!!!! Thumbs Up!!!!!
Such an amazing insight in to the life of an amazing crew of private pilot/pilots and flight assistant of course, you guys are so good at making everything look effortless it is refreshing to watch you all and how you obviously enjoy your all be it tiring job/jobs but it looks more than a job more a life choice, and what an amazing choice that is,many thanks you guys ROCK
Just found your site and love watching down here in New Zealand. Thats at the bottom of the world.
Just added your channel and have been catching up on the videos and ran across this one which brought back memories (years ago) of the same approach into SFO with my Skymaster on the right and 737 on the left. I always kept the speed up to match the jets on the approach but then level out over the rwy, pull back the power and "coast" to the last few thousand feet before touchdown and off to the GA area. Love the editing mix.
Great videos all together. I sincerely appreciate "riding" with you guys.
This video brought back some amazing memories for me. Most of my flight training was conducted in Bozeman, I completed my private and most of my instrument there. It's a gorgeous area to fly all year around. Thanks for making it possible for me to see another beautiful Montana sunset. Amazing footage as always.
It certainly is a beautiful area...I'm glad you enjoyed the video!
Just super, love it. Have to get back in the cockpit, been 10 years, now. My, how time goes by.
Best thing about this channel compared to the rest is that you guys are so normal, just two friends with the bonus of flying around the world in a business jet.
Awesome video. I like the port cam (first time I've seen that view.) You guys really need to be flying a 650 with all that cockpit talent! Thanks so much.
You guys are the best!! Love all your videos and how well you work together.
Keep them coming.
A wonderful and informative video...Thanks for sharing...Looks like an exciting career.
Great flights.
Awesome guys. Thanks for taking the time in producing these videos. You guys have the best job.
Thanks for the quick reply. Great videos.
Love this channel! You guys take all the anxiety out of flying for me! Thank you for that! Looking forward to more fantastic videos.
I don't know if it's because I'm super high right now but that San Fran landing was the most realistic video caption I've seen. I'v watched many of these. Sweet.
Nice video. That G-IV is one of the few business jet cockpits I've seen where the pilots aren't sitting on top of each other.
great show guys I watch you all the time
Did a parallel landing aboard a Pan Am 747 Heathrow to San Francisco, the pilot came on the PA. "I wish to assure passengers that there are two runways down there" This was back in the 1980s our 1st trip to the US, using a Pan Am fly drive holiday.
Got held up in immigration and the officer apologised, he then gave us some travel tips on seeing as he said The Real California.
I accepted as long as he put his name and phone number on the sheet, so called him three weeks late from LA. He and his wife flew down for dinner with us and there started a 6 year friendship.
Man you guys are bringing back so many memories. safe flying.
Very cool! Crazy how you meet people along the way...those parallel approaches are super cool!
Wonderful flight and video editing as usual...Keep it up guys.
Excellent Landing!!
Loving the videos guys keep it up! If possible would love to see the start up producers!
Thanks! Startup is on the list in the near future...
I am a big fan of the Aeronca C-3, and Champ, and the G-4. Have flown in the G-4, 3 times, and the Global Express, once.
Stunningly beautiful! Thanks.
Newest fan here. Best aviation vids on YT. Keep them coming.
I wonder if people who have seen your video or are subscribers that have the $$$$ have called your company requesting your crew to fly them to a destination. I was planning on going to bed an hour ago and your channel is keeping me awake. LOL.
HAHA...sorry for keeping you up. We have had a few requests for us, but none have booked that I know of...
Good flight, very nice view, app to SFO nice too
Very nice video. I enjoy them as I do P1D in a Premier 1A. G-IV's are the balls! Wasn't it at SFO on 28R where the Air Canada was lined up for the taxiway?
Yes it was! Air Canada had a few issues at SFO last year...
First! Nice guys, I really enjoy watching. You both are very professional and seem to have a passion for the job.
Thank you! We certainly love what we do...
@@CorporatePilotLife you made from your job a hobby, you guys rock.
You guys make that look easy.
Nice flight. Would liked to have seen the KSFO taxi.
Cheers!
Yup, all sorts of angry critters. I’d be more worried about moose personally. :)
Auto Throttles, very nice!! Thanks for sharing!!
They will certainly spoil you...
Yes, they do... :-)
Great vid fellas
Just found this channel. Nice work!
Those views - WOW.
The Grizzlies like the chewy centers! HA!
Wish it had been light at SFO. I did a fair amount of investigative work out there before retiring. I liked to stay at the Marriott abeam of the dependent approaches to the 28s and watch the fun. Pretty good view from the bar.
Awesome video, I'm so hooked on this!!!
Really enjoying your content, especially on trips like these :)
Great videos gentlemen, New to the channel and loving it.
Oh wow, you came to my home town of Bozeman, MT!
Fun landing!
Nice winter video!
Freaking awesome watching from Alaska
After watching the newest videos I had to go back and watch some good old videos with Jon and the Presidential 69 G IV
You guys are awesome. Eat those chips.
Hey Shaun --- Just rewatching some of the older videos. Do you ever catch up with Jon? I think the 2 of you made the channel what it is . You guys had good chemestry.
Cool, I just now seen this video, nearly 2 years after it was posted, amazing.
Nice to see John without the sunglasses! He always seems to wear them.
Awesome video!!!
Hi guysBest wishes from the UK great videos, thank you for the magnificent scenery you show and all the insights into your work, I can only watch with awe at the intensity and complexity of flight.Just one question, why Presidential 69??Regards
Rick Simpson
The management company is called Presidential Aviation. They get Presidential # Flight IDs for all the planes they manage. We don't have to use it, but we kind of like it.
Was that one red light on the papi into SFO, John? Lol JK. Awesome video/flight.
just awesome......i'm hookedcheck computer every night for new videogreat job
The bear can catch the chubby one lol
You Florida boys look pretty cold up there in MT!
I like your sunglasses. Can you tell what brand they are?
I wear Maui Jim. Jon wears Costa
I was hooked the first moment I saw Sean and Jon doing their thing. The channel is not near as interesting without Jon. I always respected how sean replied to questions on the videos and I respect how he talks up his co-pilots now. However, they ain't Jon! I would love to know what Jon is doing now oh, is he still with presidential?
shawn that had to be one of the worst plowed taxi ways i have ever seen
Fantastic views guys thank you, great skills loving the plane how old is it ? Cheers
This plane is a 1999 model
Good old VOR navigation, and the view is breathtaking
edit: Cleared to land when you´re no2 ? Never heard that before.
I don't think they do that outside the US. We've been cleared to land number three or four actually.
Great, thank you
I am glad I subscribed to your channel totally awesome have so many questions for you guys but will stick with a couple for now,how many miles can your gulfstream fly? How many hours are you entitled to sleep when you stop for a over nighter?
The G-IV is good for about 4200 Nautical Miles. We have to get 10 hours of rest between duty days, but that often includes driving to and from the hotel and what not...
SNOW WAS NICE
Hey guys absolutely love the videos im wondering have you ever been to Montréal? (CYUL, CYHU or CYMX)
It's been a few years, but yeah! Did a little Sturgeon fishing last time we were there.
Hi guys just found your channel and now subscribed great videos Question have you ever been down under to Australia or New Zealand in the G4 Greetings from Auckland New Zealand.
Not yet...Soon hopefully!
Let us followers living in Australia know when you are on your way. Love to get some photos!
I love your videos
love the video thanks
Question: I've noticed this on a couple of your videos: After landing (ie. right after the nose wheel is on the ground) and still on the runway, the PM places grabs the center of his yoke, maybe even pressing it forward a bit while holding the ailerons steady and the PF hand goes off of his yoke. What's the reason for this? I don't hear any verbal hand-off of the controls. My best guess is to operate a tiller and the yoke likes to fall forward by itself.
Exactly right. The yoke will fall forward, but will bounce around, so the PM holds it steady and into the wind.
Ballers!
Very nice !!!
I love your video's Just disappointed this time i never ever thought you would use Click bate to see your videos , That sort of made me sad a bit . you didn't have to make it seem like Holy crap Its was just a normal landing at Sand Francisco But im still happy you guys did it safe. You are above that guys you dont need Click bate do belittle your self if your viewers are lower then Tell people about your real life i mean every day at home to bring them into your life make them feel like a friend
Great videos! How did you get to fly part 135 ? I'm still building some hours flying banners in south Florida. Hopefully one day I'll see you in the air landing on FLL. Thanks for the videos
I spent several years flight instructing to build time myself...I actually spent a year as a Gulfstream right-seater at Flight Safety to get my feet into the jet world. Then Jon hired me into my first 135 company, and that was over 6 years ago. I'm thinking about doing a full video on how I got into corporate jets...stand by for that one!
Really enjoy the videos.... was wondering what your education and experience is and how did you obtain this job?? Thank you.
Great video's! Congratulations. If i may ask: why are you always flying LH seat?
Great videos guys. Tell me, on final into BZM you say "rughing 10 sinking 1000" or is is refing 10? I get sinking 1000 fpm decent rate but what is roughing 10? Keep the videos coming.
Hey Andrew...it's actually "Ref and 10" referring to the Vref speed plus 10 knots. This is the appropriate speed on final approach for the G-IV.
Montana !
Thanks guys, very nice videos. Question: What do you mean with "nutcracker is checked"?
Glad you like the videos!! The Nutcracker is the gulfstream term for weight on wheels switch. I actually have an explanation about 5 minutes in to the video titled "Gulfstream G-IV Ft. Lauderdale to Teterboro and Back". Follow the link below if you would like to see it. I hope it explains everything...and thanks again for watching!
ruclips.net/video/fhCVFqiHXvU/видео.html
Here I thought it was a something related to the stall protection system, ie the stick shaker 😂 Thanks for the explanation!
I was reading that operating costs for this plane pegs out at around $13 - per mile... that's over $14K for this flight including mileage to Bozeman for the pickup. Who can afford that?
Who? The rich and famous with lots of money. If I had the money I'd fly private too but I'm one of the herd that flies in sardine class.
