When that egg yolk started to run, I had allll the feelings!!! Looks like heaven!
That's the make or break point lol :) You don't know until you've cut into it! :D Thanks for watching
Hi, working my way through your newly found channel, I’d like to mention your presentation is spot on, so many cooks/chefs race through like they are late for a train, yours is well paced and your calm nature is a treat to watch, thank you.
Ah thank you! :) Glad you enjoyed it...and thanks for watching!
@@WhatsForTea I wish you would research before opening your mouth? Scotch Eggs do not refer to them being originally made in Scotland. Scotch actually refers to food being "Scotched" or wrapped in Bread Crumbs?

I’m from the states and I really enjoy all of your videos. 😊
I have to boil the eggs a little longer..I just dont like runny eggs but I love them hard boiled!! and with a sweet mustard sauce
I made these tonight (September 4, 2020) and they turned out amazing! I’ve had them in Scotland several times and loved them. It’s been 8 years since I was last there, and when I saw this I knew I had to make them. My daughter loved them, and my son in law (who’s an extremely picky eater) finally tried them and said “not bad.” From him that’s excellent praise. My granddaughter, who’s 16, just shook her head and said, “I don’t think so,” but she finally tried them. They all loved them. Thanks so much for making it so easy to do. I can now have Scotch Eggs whenever I care to.
Visited Scotland intensively a couple of years ago. (I'm gonna the states). I was anxious at everything. He's what we do better; 2. Cook steak. 2. Make beds. 3. Ride two wheeled vehicles. Every other thing- food, traffic control, money, dogs, litter, care for the environment... EVERYTHING was better.
I want to move there. 🙏
😂🙄. The Scotch egg is about as Scottish as a pizza.
I would love to try and make this! Thank you for all your lovely recipes 💕
I have had these in restaurans here in the States and loved them! These look so good and I didn't think they were this easy to make! Will be doing these for sure!

Looks delish and I’m going to try making them
Really enjoying your channel, this is a recipe always wanted, I as a kid always being given scotch eggs for packed lunch was given that bland store bought and that put me off them for life until when out with friends was given one made by a cooking van, I went back for two more. Very glad you've done this recipe.
Love your channel! Great recipe first time I've used cayanne pepper. I do make a sausage that's ground lamb and ground beef as I don't like pork, but it's really good with lamb and beef with traditional breakfast sausage spices.
That looks absolutely fab. My man would love that.
They're dead easy Beth :) x
I love Scotch Eggs and your recipe is easy. Thank you.
I made these a while back and they fell apart when I went to cook them. Your video has helped me find what I did wrong thanks for this upload.
I just found you two days ago and I can't stop watching all of your videos! I've already made the classic minced beef hot pot and boy was that good and filling! I just saw the Scotch Egg recipe and I cannot wait to make these. I love them and I have always wanted to try it out. Thanks so much for your lovely channel ~ your voice is calming and very comforting. I feel like we could be best friends. :) You're my kind of people! Thank you and take care from Wisconsin!!
I've been wondering how to make these, since I've been gluten free I haven't had one. I like my yolks cooked thru, so I let my eggs cook a bit longer. This looks delicious. Love your tattoo! Thank you for your channel!
just found your channel,it's great, deffo going to try these, thanks very much.
Bloody amazing I’m so pleased I found you x
I did these for our Yule breakfast "buffet" last year, I used quale eggs and WOW were a hit! :)
Hello Cheryl, thank you so much for your videos. They are so wonderful and bring back many memories, growing up in my youth in Scotland.
Your Jasper is adorable too. Cheers from Melbourne Australia.
Scotch egg is about as Scottish Pizza. The 'Scotch' egg was adopted, and refined by the English from Asia. 'Scotch' comes from mincing meat and wrapping it around an egg. Nothing to do with Scotland.
i made these!!! just today, from scratch, and they were PERFECT. The video is So Well Done, that i actually really understood the process the first time i watched it through - it was so easy, so good, these are now going to be Holiday Traditional Food :) Steak Pies are next on my list to make ... you are so wonderful! I love your channel :)
I've never had a scotch egg but if I even do I hope they look this good! The runny yolk looks fab with it! I've only ever seen pictures of them with a hard middle before.
crazy as this sounds but besides the excellence of the recipes what really makes these videos is the scenes of Scotland at the end of each vid. Cheers, Lass!
OMG!!! They look like the best scotch eggs ever 😋
These look wonderful! I confess I'd probably have them with a little maple syrup. ❤
Perfect 👌🏼
Thanks Mel :) x

Unfortunately the scotch

What an amazing recipe.

Pure LOVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You’re such a patient chef
That looks delicious! I’ve never had one.
Looks lovely Cherryll. Regards Jean Hiles.
That rolling pin is adorable!
With really good quality ingredients, there is nothing more delicious than a scotch egg. I have to make them when my wife is away as she complains about the smell from the deep frying 😱 I have never seen chopped shallots used in the sausage meat before but will give that a try next time. Thanks a million 👍
Thyme is the spice used. Hmmmm. Sage, as well, both sound like stuffing flavors in dressing used for the Thanksgiving Turkey dinner in America. These could be an added to my Thanksgiving dinner menu. Thank you.
Now that, Sir or Madam, is a great idea!!
Lovely 🤗
I probably won’t make them myself but the next Highland games I go to I’m definitely going to try one. I never thought about having one before but after seeing you make them I’ve got to try one!!
Look delicious!!!
Beautiful!
Thanks Penny :) I try x
I just did these with German Bratwurst..amazing.Thanks very much :))
I'll be trying out this recipe myself sooner or later. I love Scotch Eggs, but can't find them unless I'm at a specific faire, and yours turned out beautifully.
You are such a pretty lady. I just discovered you my accident. I was watching Gordon Ramsay and then I saw your sausage making recipe. How I love sausages. So I kept watching and it was so interesting. I watched it almost 5 times. Now I will make it. Thank you very much.
Yummy yummy, I had these first in the girl guides camping holiday. Thank you for showing us how to do it.
Looks delicious
Thx- it’s 3am here in Connecticut USA and you’ve gone and made me hungry.Unlike you I like eggs - 😌🦋
Scotch eggs and Saturday morning
Perfect for me
these look delicious
Love your channel, greetings from hot humid Oklahoma!
Thank you from Arizona! 😋
I made Scotch eggs (without the Cayenne pepper and with sage instead of thyme).
Took some time and trouble to prepare but they were worth the effort.
Will definitely make these. I made your potato cakes today. I can’t remember what you call them but I’m in Australia and that’s what we call them. They were absolutely beautiful 🤩 !! My grandson loved them and now I have to teach him how to make them!!
OMG! Scotch Eggs are the MOST!!! You folks in the UK sure know how to do comfort food!
Love the method and the TOP OF THE CLASS RECIPE 👌
Great idea of using the CLING WRAP TO FLATTEN AND HOLD THE MEAT BALL 👏🏻👏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️🐇🐥🎂🥚🐥🐣
Just found this...love it
I must confess, I don't love eggs. I'll eat them now & again but I can't get over the taste of sulfur. If I eat them they have to be fresh from my hens. My family requested these, as we haven't ever tried them. These look like a beautiful version. I like the runny yolk & the addition of shallots. I'm gonna give it a go one of these days. Thank you for sharing your recipe. Take care.
My mum n hubby love scotch eggs, I'm not much into eggs either I eat the sausage meat n leave the egg lol.
This looks really easy to do thanks for sharing the recipe X
LOL same Linda :) x
Awh a wee tear in my eye watching this as my uncle Samuel died two weeks ago and he was brilliant at making these 😢
Thanks so much for the great recipe only my mother used to make. It’s become a family favourite here in Australia which pays homage not my Dads scot heritage, (originally from Dalkeith). Happy subscriber.
Scotch eggs are an English twist on the Asian kofta, and are not Scottish. 'Scotch' comes from wrapping minced meat around an egg. Earliest references to this dish are all from England, and date back as far as Queen Elizabeth I. The first claiments are from Fortnum & Masons of London 1738, and William Scott & sons from Whitby Yorkshire in the 19th century.
Lovely to get this recipe and ALL your Scottish ones.. Australia is sadly lacking in all things Scottish and British. Really good to find your channel. Ta very much
Scotch egg is most definately not Scottish.
Making these tonight!
That's how my nanna made them! 3rd video in and I had to subscribe! thanks hen for the upload!
Fantastic
Every one loves these and not much trouble to make. Like your way to do it ! But I like firmer yokes ! Good cold !
I used to also do the boiled eggs 1/2 them and cover with a nice cheese sauce I make my own cheese sauce
Absolute perfection 👏👌🏴🇿🇦
