As someone who is suffering from a molar abscess which requires a root canal in the next two weeks I can't imagine the pain that people went through in years gone by.😮
She must have been in absolute constant pain ! Actually, the state of her teeth could have ultimately killed her. I don't know if Opium was being used..but overall dental care must have been horrific !
Makes me think of an historical mystery fiction about her that I read years ago. She knew someone was attempting to poison her, and spent most of the story surviving on candies while working on uncovering the poisoner. 😊
I find these historical details very interesting and really brings history alive. History isn’t all battles and intrigue. Every day life is part of it to.

Oh my.. I am surprised she wasn't terribly ill with this. She did use some types of medicine. My beloved Mum loved marzipan..
That Fox News host said he doesn’t wash his hands. Must be one of his ancestors
The picture has black gums and perfect teeth.
I remembered. Brushing with honey is not the answer. Try Baking Soda or Salt.
And oil pull with coconut oil.
This is when you run out of worthwhile historical subjects to explore. 😮

Well said Sharon with you on that !
I find this topic fascinating. Rotten teeth can evolve into sepsis, which can be deadly back then, and still to this day.
A shame on u video
Why? It is a fact and a part of history. Like any other video of Versailles' bathrooms. The same.
@ani9088 Versailles and Queen Elizabeth I is not the same.
