Except for the Walkers shortbread and the wine gums (which, incidentally, are not supposed to be bitten but chewed whole)… I’ve never ever heard of nor even *seen* *any* of those other supposedly British snacks.
You would be better off having somebody in the UK sending you some snacks rather than these boxed goods- these boxes contain some bizarre assortments . Most of these I've never heard of !
Coffee Crisp bars are indeed Canadian and have never been on sale anywhere in the UK - just more evidence that the people who put these packages together have next to no idea about what comes from where.

I wish Americans would stop falling for these "British" snack boxes. No idea where they source the products but as someone from the UK, I've literally not seen any of these brands in my local super markets. Take the coffee crisp bar for example - its from Canada not the UK!
Burts is a growing company that is getting bigger each year, they are from Plymouth and if you have ever eaten a supermarkets own brand crisps then you have tasted Burts as they may a lot of the bigger chains 'special' ranges.
British snacks rule. My personal faves are jacobs cracker crisps (sour cream and chive flavour), percy pigs, jaffa cakes, monster munch (pickled onion flavour), sweet and salty popcorn, tyrells veg crisps, after eights, topic chocolate bars....... So many, not sure if all of these are British made but definitely loved by us. Make sure you try some of these!
we do have regular salt n vinegar in the UK but those aren't considered very special...those are the sort of thing you get in every shop...more creative brands tend to do malt vinegar or other types of vinegar flavour chips.
what i like to do with short bread is get some vanilla icecream 3 or 4 scoops then crush the short bread up in a bag and then cover the icecream with the crumbs, then eat... you might like it... if you try it...

I am a Brit and I have never in nearly 60 years seen these products, no way are they British, you were conned. 1) The Guiness crisps I have heard of 2) Never seen or heard of that coffee bar. 3)Never seen kr heard of that meringue bar. 4) Never heard or seen Grandma Wild's mini bites 5) Burts cheese & Onion crisps heard off 6) Buts S & V crisps heard off 7) Walkers shortbread heard off 8) Reeds biscuits never seen or heard of 9) Never seen or heard of those hot chilli hoops before. 10) Never heard of that brand of wine gums before. Though we do have wine gums but other brands such as Rowntrees or Barrats Your sister will have problems getting the products as never seen majority of them for sale in the UK only the Crisps/chips.
Re wine gums: You may have heard of Maynard-Bassett wine gums, but not 'Barrats'! Rowntrees have produced fruit gums for a long time, but never 'wine gums'.

It doesn't sound like something that would sell well here. 5:43 Burts are apparently based in Devon, England so they are British, can't say I've heard of them but apparently they supply to Tesco which is one of our big superstore chains. 8:01 Walkers is a big company in Scotland, probably the biggest shortbread/shortcake manufacturer. My friend's mother used to work for them when we were kids so we got loads of the rejected broken biscuits.
Ditto. I've also never seen most of these snacks in the UK. I was suspicious when the first thing out of the box was Guinness brand beer flavoured crisps. They've got to be Irish. Walker's shortbread is the only brand I recognise.
Coffee crisp are Canadian. Toffee crisps are the British equivalent. I have never seen that meringue bar in the UK and coffee crisp is not sold in the uk unless on Amazon as far as I know.
Same here, the only thing out of these I know are the wine gums. They used to be my favorites but they taste a bit waxy to me now except the ones in the bassetts mix ups, not sure why those taste good & the ones in an actual wine gums bag are waxy but they just are.
I have never seen any of those brands and have lived in the UK for 40+ years. I guess just because someone puts a British flag on something doesn't mean its actually UK sourced.
@@annother3350 They're kinda niche products and not market leaders, you might see them in the odd shop here and there but they're not like Walkers cheese and onion or salt and vinegar, which you will see from one end of the country to the other. It's a bit like how you may have seen a few Ferraris over the years but you wouldn't call them a regular car or a normal daily occurrence.

Those aren't proper British snacks. They're those cheap snacks that no one has ever seen....maybe sold in obscure locations or bought in bulk for a bed & breakfast.......they're cheap non branded ones..

Shortbread is one of the best things out of the UK, and Wine Gums are so so good! But out of all of them, I only knew 3 of them!

Guinness comes from Ireland not the UK, also we call them crisps not chips. To us chips are what you call fries.
