My grandma was born in a small town called Bunkervill. New people rarely came to stay, and residents rarely left, meaning that most people were related to some degree. Her father noticed that many of the people were kind of slow and a little weird. He decided to move when his son started dating his second cousin.

At start of First Wold War you had three kings that looked like they were brothers: Germany, Englnd and Russia. They were cousins but were too damm similar. Two of them were so similar that it was as if they were twins. Even today it is difficult to say who is who in an old photo.

Well, studies have shown that for couples in Iceland who have a certain degree of inbreeding it is actually good for fertility. Outbreeding is also quite dangerous. There are studies about this as well but it is difficult to study this in today's scientific climate as it is a "controversial" topic. But if you study the animal kingdom, they have discovered that fish that get accidentally cross-bred between species are very quickly weeded out in nature.

Then Z dies, so he marries his own daughter X. She's (X )is the product of he (Y) and his own sister (Z), ok? So Y marries his daughter X and they gave birth to the man in question, whose name I missed because I was too blown away.

I was reluctant to view this at first because as a rural hillbilly U.S. Southerner we have often been accused of having family trees that didn't branch. I was prepared to be outraged but found this presentation to accurately present the truth about genetics. By the way, the Hapsburgs were rightly mentioned but has anyone traced the geneology of the British noble classes? My own American ancestry is mostly unknown because very few records were kept for people of their station in the early years of colonization, but they seem to include people from much of western Europe as well as some Native Americans, if I had impregnated one of my first cousins there should have been a genetic safety buffer built in. That never happened even though all of them grew up to be exceptionally attractive young women. If we ever launch multi- generational starship colony ships it would be easy to include genetic diversity in the form of frozen sperm and ova; I would think the greater danger would be that the would go mad and kill each other.

UK royals are inbred as hell, as is pretty much every reigning family, the majority of them descend from Christian X of Denmark "The grandfather of europe"
Lizze and Prince Phillip are 2nd cousins, both related to Queen Victoria.
HOWEVER - it doesnt go all the way back to William I as different dynasties pop in and out. The RIGHTFUL heir to the throne of england actually lives in Jerilderie NSW.

@@vhawk1951kl I'm sure you know better than all our scientists 😂 Evolutionary theory has been proven time and time again, via direct observation and the most solid of predictions.
Anyways, Evolutionary theory actually shows much the opposite - aside from literally the first microorganisms, we do not *have* to be inbred. Since evolution is a gradual process and we did not "suddenly become humans", there was probably just some colony of anatomically modern humans that bred, and there did not have to be 2 "first" humans. To think so is honestly absurd from an evolutionary standpoint. There was a moment around 70,000 years ago where it's estimated that due to a supervolcano only ~1000 humans were left. Inbreeding probably happened, as this was probably not one big colony of one thousand people and you need that full 1000 people to maintain genetic diversity by some estimates.
Unlike creationism, which claims that we are descended from 2 people, and also claims that every single animal today is descended from just 2 of its kind. (Adam and Eve, Noah's boat)
I don't think you really understand your own position, Peter.

You managed to avoid addressing that Pakistani's in the UK are the most inbred people on Earth and use the NHS 800% more than native born indigenous British because of it. But a lot of misinformation in this needs to be addressed, the concept of hybrid vigour ONLY applies to plants, and ONLY when said plants are a monoculture (literal clones of each other), and in most instances hybridizzation and crossing of distant groups of animals leads to more medical issues. We see this in the case of mixed race children, neither parent is able to be a marrow donor or in many instances an organ or even blood donor to the child, a stranger on the street is a closer genetic match.
Breeding within your tribe however has higher beenfits, lower health impacts, etc. Then there's also the quandry of purebreds and thoroughbreds in the animal kingdom, they are literal inbreds. But when it's done selectively and not randomly it can be used to improve the genetic quality of the animals in question. The bottom line is it is sad that man puts more effort into planning the breeding of his dogs, cats, horses, etc. than he does his own children.

Some of my mother siblinds that have low degree of diabetes, just need to be careful about what they eat so it's not even so bad. Out of the 10 sieblings, there are 19 childs (I have 18 cousins). For that, I needed to find out how many people would have to be in it in order to kickstart a healthy population to repopulate earth. At first, I figured I could cobble together some magic number of succes, but after some research, I found that I couldn't even begin to understand the intricacies of repopulation. In the end, I just came up with a random number. 234. I got a B.
