    I have a 7 year old Scottish fold named Aisla. She's the most loving cat ever. She follows me everywhere and is an absolute cuddle machine. She even sleeps on my chest at night. Luckily she is just a little one so I don't notice her sleeping on me.
    She's vocal when it's time for her wet food and is also extremely clean.

      Oh yes, mine is just the same, he comes in and out of my bedroom a few times during the night, but won't sleep on my bed.

      What? Mine speaks constantly seems like a toddler more than a cat. And he sleeps with me or my sister never sleeps alone. Loves open doors climbs onto our beds/laps/ legs/ chest n lies down there. He just can't be alone we are hoping this is kitten phase n he will get better with time but he is quite needy

      @@wheathusk2499 My kitty is now 13 months old and he has changed a lot and talks all the time though it isn't a meow sound it is really like a huge long sentence... not one word like a little meow... He started to sleep at the foot of my bed for a short time each night. All the time that he is awake he wants to be right next to me. He doesn't like to cuddle or be picked up but he likes attention and purrs when I use the Furminator, de-shedding tool on him... He loves that. and wow what a difference it made once I got that... no more coughing up hairballs and no more hair all over the house... How old is your kitty now?

      @@Dakiniwoman Mine is 11 week old kitten. Just got her a few days back and we are so focused on her. We treat her like a baby. We tried to take others advice n left her alone for some time and he soiled his bed. When we keep doors open and show him a lot of love he always goes to his litter box and sleeps and plays a lot. Overall he is so intelligent and playful. He asks for stuff when its out of reach of his tiny hands and he communicates his feelings through baby like sounds through the day. When he wants food he meows a lot. Rest of the day its an eh uh eeehhhh to get out attention to help him out reaching a toy or pay attention or put him down when we pick him up 😅 He is so adorable and soaks up all the love attention and kisses we give him.

    Our Scottish fold is the love of my life! There are 3 of us here, and each person has a role, and is given equal attention from Jude. Every morning, he ensures that all 3 of us are up and about, and if not, he'll wake us up himself. He follows us from room to room, sleeps near us always, (at night, he actually leans his elbow on my leg like a little old man, and falls asleep in our bed)...he "speaks" to us frequently, and is always so loving...he literally turns into a puddle in my daughters' arms...and he only does this for her! (everyone has their role)... Scottish folds are truly special...different from any cat I've ever known...

    My scottishfold kitten is my best friend 💓. She plays fetch and sleeps on me. She also just flops into me and will rest her head in my hand as it's a pillow. She loves giving kisses and she does have baby soft mews. So plush and soft. She was quite expensive but from a great cattery n worth every cent and then some. The sweetest thing ever. She is going to get a new friend next week- a British Shorthair. So excited

    I have had my Scottish fold kitty (who has straight ears) for three months now. He is still under a year old and he is very large at 13 pounds. I am old so I have had a long life of owning cats (58 to be exact) and he is different than any other cat I have known. He doesn't like to be picked up or sit on my lap, but he does want to be near me nearly all the time. He is very quiet most of the time, but when it's morning and he hasn't had my attention for the whole night, he wants lots of attention and purrs loudly. He rarely purrs at any time other than first thing in the morning. He never meows at all... But when he is hungry or wants my attention he makes a very unique calling sound that is deep, long and drawn out in sound. I have never heard anything remotely like it from any other cat. He does love to play, but he is still a big kitten at ten months old. I take him outside with a harness and leash, but he is still getting used to it and isn't loving the restraint, he wants to hunt anything that moves in the grass... After having no cat for 15 years, he is enriching my life greatly. I don't think this breed is for anyone who is not home all the time. He needs me near him.

    I had a folded ears shorthair housecat. She is dead, now :(
    She was almost 20 years old.
    She was very loyal, but a bit aggressive since her mum was a feral cat.

    Love my Dakota! Had her for over a year now. She was very active at first but loves to lay around. Now I know why she follows me around like a dog. She is very smart too. I just hope she can live to be 15 and not get arthritis until she's 14 at the earliest. As I know how painful that is!

    i have 2 lazy british and scottish fold

  • @FilCanJay
    @FilCanJay 2 года назад +2

    Define "Lazy" and what's not considered "Lazy. Most cats sleep intermittently for close to 12-14 hours a day. My Scottish fold when in-play is not what I would consider lazy. I've seen him literally spend 10mins in one spot digging out a ball from under a low table just to get it out to play with it. Not to mention he's easily trainable. My other domestic cat would not do this. He lacks the determination and brain power I find. My Scottish Fold is smart.

    Strongly Disagree . Scottish Fold Cats Shed Constantly unless there are varieties within the breed that moult less but mine has a Super thick Coat and sheds heavily. I thought that All Scottish Fold Cats had soft lush thick coats. At 1round 17 YO Mine does have some joint deformity happening in her front paw joints. she actually crosses her paws like crossing her arms rather than folding the paws inwhen she is laying looking forward. and looks really sweet , possibly tho its more comfortable than curling them in with her stiff joints. Thank you for Video

      Yes, mine is a Scottish straight also... He was sold to me as the breed "Scottish Fold" and the Veterinarian also wrote that breed on his Veterinary record... Both the Mom and Dad kitties had the folded ears, but mine came with the straight ears.
