Best examination of the Asset Browser I've watch so far. And timely too. I've been trying to organize all my project files and 3rd party downloads into an AB that makes some sense. This introduction into it has explained quite a bit, at least for me. Thanks!

Glad it helped, I love digging deep into how things actually work and that blooming cats file caused me a real head scratching moment.

I keep getting copies of assets when ever I start a new project. I have opened up ALL of the MANY copies into their original .blend files but often there are no marked assets to clear! Can you tell me how to fis this problem. Thank you .

I have seen duplication like this when you have assets marked in the file you’re currently using and in your asset library - you can get quite confusing as to which copy is which.
If you’re really stuck, one of the best things I can recommend is to remove all of your asset libraries and starter fresh - while it might be a pain to do it can often fix this type of issue

I found this very useful. One question, how do I create a bundle file? Is it just a regular file with some objects marked as assets?

I hope assets snapping will be implemented in Blender 8.0 or so.

god... that's so awful. it's mostly the user finding workarounds instead of actually organizing their library. it shouldn't be this complicated.

I was quite surprised that the assumption is that I each asset library only contains one blend file. Fortunately, it’s not too hard to fix, but as you said, that’s not really the point in terms of usability.
