I had a 1985 "Works Replica" KX 125 back in 1992. Totally rebuilt that bike and I loved it. I know this KX 125 is different especially the rear suspension. The 1985 model still had the traditional UNI-TRAK Rear suspension.
Love these reviews! I raced Kawi’s from 1985-1988 because my dad opened up a Kawasaki dealership in Warrenton Oregon. I primarily rode 125’s, but the bonuses of your father owning a bike shop afforded me the opportunity to also race 250’s and 500’s on occasion, despite my skinny, 140lb ass! Great times!
That was cool to see. BSuch a sweet bike, i had one when i was around 15, it was my second full size moto, an 84 xr250 was my first full size. My buddy and I rode 95% woods and my kx125 was probably the worst choice for a woods bike but i loved it, it completely shaped my riding style for the 25-30 years following and to this day its one of my all time favorite bikes.
I had the 95' kx 250. Strong powerband. Good low-mid gange powerband. It had power reeds. Probably the best 2 stroke chasis bike I've ever ridin at that time. Wish I still had it. Shout out to motorcross vault for the post.
I just got one of these on trade and it is absolutely c l a p p e d out. Looking forward to redoing and building it back up. It’s been thrashed lol. Also some swapped the forks out for some garbage ones so I’ll be souring the blue does like my 94 KDX 200
Rode a Honda and Kawasaki bike that year,,and only a pro could take advantage of the CR,,as it was positively gutt-less in the low end,,and the RM was the happy medium,,kudos MX ers !!
I still have 1 axo glove that bout matches that jersey from the 90s....I loved the axo gear mainly cause Stanton wore it lol...bought a 94 cr125 new I think winter 93...never forget that feelin goin from an xr80...
Your dead on the kx power...nothin like hondas...all we rode here are Hondas and when I rode a kaw it was like it was bout to blow up ...down on power..till you hit 500cc then it don't matter lol
Love my 93 CR125 done everything you can do to it pro circuit poison everything the whole nine yards blueprint bigger bore ported fastest 125 on the planet by far.
currently own and ride a 99 kx125cc , I dont seem to find any filter in the airbox, I assumed the air filter should be in there ,is this normal or am I just missing the air filter component ? own the bike since januari 2019
Hi great vids love em ! I have a 93 125 kx that needs a top end freshen up ,is there any advice you can give me to pass on to my mechanic to prevent the issue of them blowing up ?Thanks
James Cassar my advise would be to speak with Pro Circuit as they knew all the tricks in those back in 1993. The best idea is to run race gas if you can because the tended to detonate on pump gas and caused a lot of then to blow up. I’m sure a knowledgeable tuner could modify the head for you to prevent this.

Bike looks badass! For what it is
I think i had a 92 and it liked to detonate pistons!
I bought a Honda that year. I guess I don't regret it even though I love cows.

Buddie bout a Carmichael practice bike and was the baddest kx125 we'd ever rode
to be fair no 125 is going to be Enough at pro level
The high speed stability was the KX biggest plus for non factory guys
That’s a good video I have a 1993 kx125 and it is the beast 👍
I’m currently rebuilding one
They had a problem with seizing.
🎥👍
Thay bike looks sick af
