Chester's passing shouldn't define or restrict the rest of the members journey. I mean, Chester struggled with his battle but he would have never wanted for his brothers to not continue. The whole conversation is just ridiculous that they shouldn't move on. Infact, now they are continuing to inspire more people with their perseverance

i got no problem with them continuing though i feel they should leave chesters catalogue behing for the most part as the new singer seems to struggle with a lot of those songs and thats okay , theyre just moving towards a new chapter

I’m not a fan of the band, but they should be able to continue if they want to. You might turn some fans away but hopefully you gain some new ones and the real fans should stay with them on the new journey. Good luck to them.

Nah I like they got someone else to sing verse getting a copy cat cover artist to fake Chester’s voice. The new person isn’t trying to copy him like they did with the Journey artist.

The only disrespectful thing in my optinion are the Chester AI versions of The Emptiness Machine that I keep getting pushed onto my timeline. Talinda seems to be on board with the whole thing, so I do not believe the band is disrespecting his memory.

I'm a very casual fan of LP but I'm really impressed by her voice. Powerful and the right amount of grit.
I don't understand how anyone can think her voice is shit. The new song is superb. I think they're doing the right thing personally and being very respectful to CB's memory.

They don't disrespect him at all, and for one reason,
chester wanted them to continue and being happy, chester will be always remembered as the legend he was,
he was such a positive person. And i think his fans and pepole in general should act the same

I don't mind them carrying on, im sure there would be some male vocalists that would be way more suitable than Emily. If she wants to do her own cover songs then that's fine but I just don't think she is good enough for LP.

The band has stated multiple times that shes not trying to replace Chester, its just a new era of a band, the same way Brian Johnson replaced Bon Scott in AC/DC after he died.
Those who preach disrespect are experiencing the toxic aspects of nostalgia, and are stuck in the past

I trust the other band members know who they are getting involved with and they always know better who she is as a person than people googling her can. Purely about the music: Chester's versions and her version's can coexist, I liked her versions without disregarding I like the original album versions in a different way. So if the band is happy I'm happy for them and will give the new album a listen. Based on first single I probably be happy with it.

I want to say this and its a personal point of view. Chester's legacy will live forever. Emily is in alot of heat at the moment. We as Linkin Park fans don't know what is true or not true.
Like most linkin park fans i hated Emily out the gate. But, i started thinking of Chester's speech from 2017 in England 2 weeks before he left us. I rewatched it and it made me feel like i wasn't a true person to who Chester wanted us to be. Emily as a performer is just that she performs and its not much we can do with her outside things. But i honestly want to give her a chance.
She'll carry a new generation of Linkin Park fans and they will get to see who Chester was cause of her. I'd highly recommend checking that speech Chester gave in 2017 in England again. It my make you think twice about how you veiw Emily.

I didnt really like her sounding on old lp songs. Not the hugest lp fan. But just from a casual perspective. Maybe her own songs will hit the mark more. People always get negative whenever a singer is replaced. She does sound kind of over produced though. Her singing and screaming doesnt give me the same chills that Chester did.

Chester disrespected the band by doing what he did. It is terrible at what happened, but he should've gotten the help that he needed instead of being weak and taking the easy way out. As much as it pains me to see Emily up on stage instead of Chester it isn't fair to the rest of the band to essentially give up their careers because of one selfish act by one of the members.

@@SleeveSaturday she harassed Danny Masterson's victims trying to keep them from even going to the police to report Danny Masterson. Then she along with Danny Masterson's wife harassed the victims during the trial in May 2023. She also doesn't support mental health help for people who have mental illness of any kind. Since the so called religion (Scientology) she is a second generation member of believes that mental illness is a punishment for doing something wrong in this life or a previous life. They also don't believe that SA is a crime and that it is just a punishment for something that the victim did.
Chester was mentally, physically, s*xually abused by an older boy who he thought was his friend starting at the age of 7 years old and it went on till he was 13 years old. Just after his parents divorced when he was 11 years old Chester turned to drugs and alcohol to numb the mental pain from his abuse he was living thought. Chester eventually told his parents about his abuse and his parents struggled with it especially Chester's father since he was a Detective in the Phoenix Police Department investigating s*x crimes against children in Phoenix Arizona. Chester finally got the mental health help he needed in 2006 after he got out of rehab for addiction to drugs and alcohol. He struggled with his alcohol addiction for the rest of his life but for the most part he did good mentally. Chester talked about what happened to him so that others could see that it is not something to be ashamed of and that is better to talk about it than it is to be silent about it.

I would accept "she's not a great fit" or sth like that, but saying "horrible" is so objectively wrong it has to be rejected and you labelled dumb.
