They could have managed the season WAY better in my opinion, for example, we should have got more fishes like the slurp fish and maybe the thermal fish and vendetta flopper for the metal gear update. Talking about the metal gear solid update, instead of the useless anvil rocket launcher we could have got the guided missle, it would have been more fun and more fulfilling for the update. Another thing is that the various new games mode should have been released once a week: 10 December: Rocket racing 17 December: festival mode 24 December: Lego Mode They should have added the winterfest cabin for the event and maybe the quests about placing peely's signs should have been at the start of the season, not at the end
Why the heck do people say this 😢 does literally nobody remember how terrible Chapter 4’s was?! We literally got the cabin and some trash gifts. This time we got a replacement quest system for gifts, a new LTM, tons of Christmas decorations on the map, a new Sergeant Winter POI, a new gift-chest type, actually good presents, and a super cool revamped Loot Island. Yet because you don’t get to “shake the gifts” you immediately call it the worst in years. 🙄
@Eren-.-Yeager you make some good points and I agree that winter fest wasn’t horrible this year, but it wouldn’t have been hard for fortnite to implement the cabin and EVERYBODY would like it. It just comes off as lazy.
This season certainly wasn't better than Last Resort, but it was absolutely better than, say, Season 2. Some people forget about how lame some early seasons were _compared_ to modern seasons.
actually chapter 5 is my first ever season of fortnite. and to me, i think its a pretty good introduction to new players. i kinda feel bad that i slept on fortnite all these years but I'm excited about the future and I'll deff be playing for a long time
I actually loved this season, Loot pool was good beside the frenzy and this season was perfect for squads with friends, it was so enjoyable working together to get medallion and rushing the vault, and it was hilarious when we would yell at each other when one person found an op sniper and the other person took it overall I think this season was much better better than current season
i think this season’s biggest crime was just being kind of bland. i think the map lacked personality because they wanted it to feel more like a real setting, and there weren’t any crazy mythics because Epic was prioritizing balance over the wackiness of some other seasons. i was definitely burned out by the end but i’d still say it was a very solid season overall. i think it was a good one to be the first season i really decided to grind out :)
The battle pass was alright, I think Peter Griffin and The Tiger Carried tho but the C5 S2 Battle pass is amazing! It feels super original and On theme

I honestly think this chapter will be a full 2 years since the last two were only 1 year long because they were split in half. There was some cut content in both, especially chapter 4, and the Fracture event was supposed to go a completely different way but they had to change it. That's probably why chapter 4 had next to no story content as well. So far it seems like Fortnite is coming back to more story stuff and even have voiced quests again! This chapter as a whole seems too big or important to just have it be a year long, I feel like this is their chance to have a fresh start and turn the game back around
My first time playing Fortnite was on launch in 2017, and I dropped it shortly afterwards. nearly 7 years would pass before my friend convinced me to pick it up again. It's utterly insane seeing how much the game has evolved since the early BR days, and I've gained a ton of respect for the game as a result. I mainly started playing again since Festival released (I'm a massive fan of rhythm games and Guitar Hero/Rock Band), but I've also found myself really enjoying the Zero Build mode. Building was always the main barrier for entry for me, and the removal of building makes for a competitive experience that I can actually follow. The sandbox of BR is incredibly varied and provides insane levels of depth, which allows for a vast variety of different play-styles and strategies. Overall, I'm very impressed by what I've seen. I can't wait to see what else is in store for the game. I never pictured myself playing this game, yet here I am.
You see what you when you taking about the POI, it's real like the POI around the Snottys Steppes and Fencing Fields are pretty much the same, they have the same builds design
Like, sadly the biggest variety I saw in POI was Grand Glacier, which I think was my favorite POI other than Ruined Reels this season. Yes, this may have been my first season but I recognize when the design gets samey and why certain ones stuck out because of that.
What i think it was a good introductory season, because almost everything, from weapons to map was BASIC. Sometimes it isn't a bad thing, especially because it is a new chapter's first season. I myself started playing this season, and learned everything quickly. Tmnt event was a nice pallet cleanser, but still pretty basic. I hope going forward we will get a lot more wacky stuff and weapons.
Started playing Fortnite for the first time since Chapter 1 and damn it’s crazy all the changes when I started playing this new chapter, without playing any of it for so long I thought all the changes were super cool.
I personally really liked this season, and it's probably my favorite season 1 we've had so far. I've been playing this game every season since c1s3, and this for me was a great follow up to OG, but with a lot of flaws. The updates have definitely been a bit lackluster this season, but it had what c4s1 and c2s1 lacked for me, and that's meaningful updates. Off the top of my head I can remember the ninja turtles updates, the (kinda mid but better than ch4) winterfest, and the solid snake update where the snow melted. With ch4 I only remember the mha collab and the heist LTM at the end, and with c2s1, it was really just fortnitemares, star wars and weapon side grading. I also think the map gets WAY too much hate, but it definitely is valid. I personally love the map due to how lived in it feels, and the only locations I feel like are the same would be ritzy revera and snooty steppes. I think it's a huge improvement over c4s1's map though, which is my second least favorite just behind wilds. That had 9 poi's that while unique, were either super realistic like the ones we have now, or just creative assets thrown together like anvil square and lonely labs. With ch4 I remember hearing the same "it doesn't feel like fortnite" and "the locations are too real" complaints, and while valid, I feel like are just overdone. I would love the game to go back to a cartoony artstyle, but I feel like this isn't that big of a deal. I also have been wanting weapon modding for YEARS so I think it is very cool to finally see it be in game, and I think the lootpool is generally good except for the frenzy auto, which should have been hard nerfed or vaulted months ago. I think this was a generally very fun season, and honestly topped all of chapter 3 and 4 for me. I just wish they'd go back to bind annual chapters, as with how many glitches and unpatched things there are it shows that they're already crunch timing for ch6. But the hand/pandora's box live event was so fun and memorable, and even just waiting hours for the stupid hand to pop up and teaming with random players was so fun. Whereas with a year ago with ch4 i was super pessimistic and wanted it gone ASAP, i now feel excited and hopeful for this chapter. Also, amazing video and I always love seeing opinions on this game I'm also so passionate about, so keep it up, and i just subbed and look forward to seeing what youll make next!
Epic was trolling leakers to prevent players from just listening to everything leakers says (since sometimes content can change even just a day before release). In a weird way, I believe it's Epic combatting toxic expectations. That being said, yes, eventually the event will happen.

It’s the best season since chapter 3 season 1. I know why people don’t enjoy the season, but I think it’s great. There were some great POIS like ruined reels, reckless railways, and Fencing Fields. While I agree, the frenzy auto was absolutely broken, there was some other fun loot to use like the grapple blade, the reaper sniper, and the striker AR. While there were some questionable unvaults like the turret, and some questionable new stuff like the cardboard box and the EMP stealth grenades, I felt it didn’t take down the season too much. The item shop was ok, but I did like the battle pass. The TMNT event was so much fun and the hand live event was insane. I was in a champion ranked lobby with a bunch of sweats and everyone just gathered together to watch it happen. And yeah, this season also is special to me because not only did I hit unreal rank(by using bushcampdad strat), I also finally found a squad to play Fortnite with on a daily basis, which is something I’ve been looking for since I started back in C2S7. Overall I rank this season a 8.5/10
Some other stuff: Weapon mods might be the best thing to ever happen to Fortnite. Also normally I have to grind quests to get to level 200, but just playing normally got me to level 258(at the time of writing this). Also the bird is the word is my new favorite Fortnite emote
I disagree with the notion that there are easier ways to get customizable loot. Crafting benches are only location in boss vaults or at the rifted island, which meant you had to risk your life to mod your weapons. What makes this PAINFUL is the fact that shotguns might have scopes or you might get a sniper without a scope. At the very least epic should have let us remove mods anywhere, cause I don’t want scopes on my shotguns
I'm pretty new (literally started last month), and I very much liked season 1 for Chapter 5. So far I'm not a fan of Season 2 though, but it's still early, so we'll see what happens.
Chapter 5 Season 1 was my very first proper introduction to Fortnite and from what I’ve experienced, I’ve enjoyed it. I played 1 or 2 rounds back in chapter 3, but it didn’t click back then for a younger me. Now, for my first season, I’ve hit Lvl. 252 and I’m still grinding literally everything I can before the next update. I’m excited to see what C5S2 has in store. With the Greek theme, maybe I can get Kratos! Only time will tell😄
I played this season almost entirely and I’ll have to give my rating, 8/10. I thought it was pretty good and the weapons were fun. I personally like the more grounded gameplay and imma be real, Hope, Montague and Valeria are really good and Jones and Tony the Tiger don’t stand up to them. The lack of emotes is disappointing tho
I season was ok I had a massive break from Fortnite and came back when Fortnite OG happened but I liked the train and I liked how the island isn’t as cartoonish as the others and looks like real life locations. But of course nothings perfect and it has its flaws.
I had been playing on and off since season 4. When I first played the season, it was a big turn off. I quit the game, and only played once in a blue moon when my friends did. It sucked for me. Fortnite has kind of lost its cartoonish and light hearted charm, with comical and low quality effects. In my opinion, that's why Fortnite was so much different to the other BRs.
unpopular opinion: This season winterfest was better than last years. Yes, no cabin but: -We still got free rewards -A whole new poi was added -Loot island was reskinned
I started playing in chapter 2 season 8 and I feel that this is a one of the greatest season so far, so many options so many new mythic, so many new collabs, make this feel like Fortnite in it's peak.
I am not sure if I feel the same about the season. I liked the map I felt variety BUT not from FN standards... it was so realistic and although the zones we as different as different places in Europe they where not as different as FN POI usually are... I don't like this new gameplay and the matchmaking I am suffering due to my career level is not helping at all. We lost the Creative Royale maps that were the substitution for the Battle Laboratory and for me was a great lost. About the loadout, the contribute to the "realistic vibes" I don't like, the new items (shield and chain) were fun but not so crazy and the add to the bullet fall mechanic to all the weapons for me was the worst decision ever: rifle become nearly inefficient long distant and gave a unfair advantage half of the season to the snipers that where so broken and were used to that kind of shooting. Mods were good idea but the limit to the boss vault made them nearly inaccesible to most of the players unless they risk to lose the game in the try, because there were always people camping there for easy kills. I have the feeling that they used the holidays to try to cover how much they were affected for the layoffs and dividing the team due to the new modes. I work in support in a bug company and it sound stupid to me to totally freeze everything for nearly a month due to "dev holidays" and leave so few content and a lot of bugs and problems... And the change in the UI/UX and the shop was horrible and greedy. I have the feeling I will quit the BR soon unless they do something to made it more fun to play for me and my friends, as we spent more time in other modes than in BR nowadays. I think the storyline was affected by the bugs not fixed at beginning of the season as it was reported that new players had more storyline missions that the rest of players related to Peely storyline. I think that TMNT was one of the best collab in the game and probably the only reason I played that much the season, and the last weeks with the Odyssey missions bring me hope for this new season. Seasonal events are so lazy nowadays that I have the feeling that it is better if they take them away as they did with the Valentine one. I think that it is clear that a lot of things failed backstage and that why we have no augments, the Winterfest was so bad (just a LTM and it was bugged most of the time) and the shop made no sense. For me the season fall to the curse of the first Season of the Chapter after the 4.1 has survived it quite well. They must think better not to change so much things before xmas next time.
I haven’t been keeping up with Fortnite like I used to, so I just thought everyone loved this season like me. IMO it was better than any season of chapter 4 (including season 2) it also brought the most content so I think it will be memorable
i think its a mid season but not for the reasons youd probably think. i think it wouldve been a good season if the sniper wasnt as op and if they had more unique mythics for the bosses EDIT: also i really hope that this chapter is 8, 10, or even the first 12 season chapter
If the sniper wasn't able to have its scope modded this season I would've played 5x as much, that ruined zero builds no matter the amount of people on your team.
I actually really liked this season with 5 mythics spread across the map. It reminds of ch2 s2 which is my favorite season so it has a lot of nostalgia for me also i'm a tmnt fan so it did put a smile on my face seeing them come too fortnite Also the only seasons i've played are Ch2 s1 Ch2 s1 Ch2 s3 Ch2 s4 Ch2 s7 Ch2 s8 Ch3 s1 Og fortnite Ch5 s1
I'd say this season was mid. If you are a casual player, take my words with a grain of salt, becuase I've pushed to champ and can be considered sweaty. I disliked this season. Auto shotties turned people to w+m1 robots, while the snipers were being used as shotguns. The loot pool was stale and I had no idea what was happening with the lore until the gaint hand popped out.
Personally, this season was super boring The sniper was way too easy to use, the auto shotgun is broken The map is mid And the content drought made this season so stale and it never got better till TMNT, but that's 2 months of basically the same game. I hope Season 2 flows better.
Ok so I’m a returning player and playing Chapter 5 Season 1 was my first time playing fort actively since Season X (that shit stank made me quit), and this season is really good. I like the POIs (could use a city though), and the vaults you can find all across the map. There’s lots of loot to go around with all of it in exception of the autoshotty and enforcer being good and powerful. BP skins are all nice as well and the bosses were all great risk v reward spots to check out for mythical weapons. There are lots of mats across the map, except metal but you need to visit junk junction for that, metal is supposed to be tough. I don’t really see the hate for the season to be honest, I get the fact people see it as less wacky but we still have outlandish things like flowberries that give you hop rocks and bosses that are Peter Griffen and a bipedal tiger. Overall I had fun all season and I think it’s gud, deffo better than like season 6 imo.

While I agree with most of this the shotgun meta kills the loot pool. This feels like the only season where no matter if you have skill or not you still need to use the shotgun catered to noobs who can’t aim
I know this is such a small detail but I wish they hadn’t turned the map, it was supposed to have the snow at the bottom so it would look like chapter 2, but they changed it into a map that’s longer than it is tall, which doesn’t feel right
Wish we got more content for the MGS collab, like Revolver Ocelot should have been added, and also the other Snakes like Naked, Liquid, Solidus, and Venom. And they really missed the opportunity to give Raiden alternative styles for both MGS4 and Rising
Probably my most played season. The only seasons ive played is chapter 1 s7, 8, 9, 10, ch2 s1, 2, ch3 s2, 3, c4 s3, og, and ch5 s1. I love the battle pass, and the theme is so cool and unique compared to previous seasons, the guns are amazing, bloom being non exist because of mods, the map's pois being beutiful architecture aswell i will be sad when this season ends
I like the season but the map is horrible. Pretty much every named location is one of two things. 1: Big House 2: Big House Surrounded By Small Houses And that is it. Even the unnamed locations are boring they are gas stations or yet again a house. Please add something unique to the next season!
I personally found this one pretty fun, havent played in a while and this season got me back into fortnite. They had Snake, which has been one of the guys ve wanted in this game for a while, im just waiting for Dante at this point. I found the gameplay to be fun, and the tmnt stuff was cool, i grew up on the 80s and 90s turtles cartoon and bought the shredder thing. My only real problem was the map, wasnt as good as other ones. Also, i did really like chapter 4 season 1, loved the mideval stuff. The jungle and heist seasons werent that good in my opinion though. I do hope they get back to having a real story though, they seem to be getting around to something but i hope they remember that the 7 exist and to bring up what happened.
Love the video, but I gotta disagree with you on the loot pool. I found it very imbalanced, with the striker AR being so much better, even with the enforcer ar getting buffed. There really was no decision. My loadout was always the same. Striker AR or thunder burst, hammer pump, sniper, grapple blade, and big pots. There was not question of what loot was better.
It was great, tmnt event, solid snake as the secret skin, bp was pretty good aswell, also the new map they introduced here is much better then the chapter 4 map. Also with the additions of lego fortnite, festival and rocket racing it never felt boring. There was always something different to do.
They need to buff the pump, its completely obsolete in comparison to the frenzy, there's no situation where a pump would do better, specially in no build, the biggest problem is the map, i agree there's no place you can always say, which makes you explore more but at the same time you never feel satisfied, you may have long matches where you suddenly instantly die cus you only encountered bots until the end game where suddenly everyone is cracked, or moments where you die at the start cus you thought everyone would be a bot but all the players collectively thought this is where they will drop, tilted towers was a place where you know people will fight competently and if you wanted a slower start you could go else where, now its a bit unpredictable, which tbh was part of the appeal of fornite imo, being able to have your own play style and still win

Here's the deal, we got this cool train feature on the map....and no one used it. That feels like such a bummer, like the train in Apex was hype as heck but this....

I give c5s1 a solid 8/10. I liked the whole theme of it being 2 people against a whole gang to try and save their friend and I thought all the characters were really cool. Some complaints I have tho is that I really hate going against frenzy shotguns and riot shields. Also old snake looks weird like his face is too small.
Pretty good season in my opinion…the map don’t really has much to it but it still feels good and the Lootpool is alright to. I really enjoyed ranked to, hitting unreal for the first time brought a lot of fun.

I’d even go as far to say I really don’t understand how people COULD actually enjoy this season tbh. It kinda blows my mind but I guess it really shows that everyone can have a different opinion and perspective tbh. I have a few theories as to why tho. Maybe because a lot of the player base is still casual af in Fortnite and a lot of their lobbies have 50 or more Literal AI bots in their lobbies they don’t care or notice the flaws in the game as much as sweaty players do. That’s my 2 sense on it all. I still think this season was an absolute disaster tho

This is easily the most mixed season ever imo, I can't say it was absoloutely horrendous but it is definetly in the ten worst season, but it is really hard for me to say that. I actually really like the map, I think they did a good job but they should have had a bit more cities imo, I hate all the new weapons(besides the sniper I like it) the mods to these weapons are also really bad, the movement is alright, bit weird at the beggining but I like it now. I like some of the locations etc Snooty Steeps, Fencing, Plazza, and my favorite locations being the train one which I can't really remember the name of rn, I will give the season this, This is definetly one of my favorite seasons in terms of creative and playing with friends, even do we all avoided battle royale since we thought it was terrible. Lego was alright, It was good but boring after a few, my favorite is probably fortnite festival, rocket racing absoloutely sucks in some ways but I like it with others. Really really really mixed season, also I really like the battle pass.

Overall this season was really great, with good LTM ( Lego, Racing, Festival ), Great boss POI, great lootpool, really good collabs (Family Guy, TMNT) Overall I give a 7,5/10, it was a fun season.
After this season ends it will probably be forgotten there’s nothing good it’s all mid or bad winter fest was trash the lot pool is one of the worst because of all the spam spray weapons like the stupid frenzy auto shotgun and cluster clingers the snipers are op not because of bullet drop it because you can have 3-5 bullets with out reloading not to mention it has a faster reload time compared to most snipers also Peter griffin will be the only skin remembered in the battle pass the map is not bad but it’s very bland and all feels the same the weapon attachments need to leave after chapter 5 because if they stay in future chapters it will ruin the game because as long as there in the game they will never bring back any old weapons back
I’ll be onest it was not back I injoyed it but it did get really annoying trying to look around and aim at a opponent than you get one shot by a sniper and third partying was another issue I hate the sniper there to powerful but thay my opinion you are free to tell me you own opinion on them but besides the sniper’s and third partying it was a decent season
Chapter 5 season 1 is the most fortnite I've played since chapter 1, I'd play a little chapter 2, 3 & 4 but for the past month I've actually enjoyed fortnite. All the items and weapons serve a great purpose (besides the hammer pump, theres no reason to carry it when the other shotgun is as good as it is). The movement this season makes it so good too, the grapple blade is one of the best items but it means you'll have to sacrifice a gun from your inventory or heals so it's always a trade. The maps not super exhilarating but i really enjoy the Mediterranean vibes we got, the snow and the forested areas are alright. Pretty good if not really good season but that's just my opinion and my opinion in having played the last half or third of it.

I actually loved this season, Loot pool was good beside the frenzy and this season was perfect for squads with friends, it was so enjoyable working together to get medallion and rushing the vault, and it was hilarious when we would yell at each other when one person found an op sniper and the other person took it overall I think this season was much better better than current season

i think this season’s biggest crime was just being kind of bland. i think the map lacked personality because they wanted it to feel more like a real setting, and there weren’t any crazy mythics because Epic was prioritizing balance over the wackiness of some other seasons.
i was definitely burned out by the end but i’d still say it was a very solid season overall. i think it was a good one to be the first season i really decided to grind out :)
The battle pass was alright, I think Peter Griffin and The Tiger Carried tho but the C5 S2 Battle pass is amazing! It feels super original and On theme

The map was a Huge w although I do like different poi's having their own personality I also do love the European Theme on everything.
I honestly think this chapter will be a full 2 years since the last two were only 1 year long because they were split in half. There was some cut content in both, especially chapter 4, and the Fracture event was supposed to go a completely different way but they had to change it. That's probably why chapter 4 had next to no story content as well. So far it seems like Fortnite is coming back to more story stuff and even have voiced quests again! This chapter as a whole seems too big or important to just have it be a year long, I feel like this is their chance to have a fresh start and turn the game back around

My first time playing Fortnite was on launch in 2017, and I dropped it shortly afterwards. nearly 7 years would pass before my friend convinced me to pick it up again. It's utterly insane seeing how much the game has evolved since the early BR days, and I've gained a ton of respect for the game as a result. I mainly started playing again since Festival released (I'm a massive fan of rhythm games and Guitar Hero/Rock Band), but I've also found myself really enjoying the Zero Build mode. Building was always the main barrier for entry for me, and the removal of building makes for a competitive experience that I can actually follow. The sandbox of BR is incredibly varied and provides insane levels of depth, which allows for a vast variety of different play-styles and strategies.
Overall, I'm very impressed by what I've seen. I can't wait to see what else is in store for the game. I never pictured myself playing this game, yet here I am.
You see what you when you taking about the POI, it's real like the POI around the Snottys Steppes and Fencing Fields are pretty much the same, they have the same builds design

Like, sadly the biggest variety I saw in POI was Grand Glacier, which I think was my favorite POI other than Ruined Reels this season. Yes, this may have been my first season but I recognize when the design gets samey and why certain ones stuck out because of that.
What i think it was a good introductory season, because almost everything, from weapons to map was BASIC. Sometimes it isn't a bad thing, especially because it is a new chapter's first season. I myself started playing this season, and learned everything quickly.
Tmnt event was a nice pallet cleanser, but still pretty basic.
I hope going forward we will get a lot more wacky stuff and weapons.
This season was a pretty good start to a chapter the only thing bad was the item shops and the hammer pump shotgun did like 30 damage

Started playing Fortnite for the first time since Chapter 1 and damn it’s crazy all the changes when I started playing this new chapter, without playing any of it for so long I thought all the changes were super cool.
I liked the more simplistic movement over this and your normal walk was faster so I didn’t have to bind more buttons so I can sprint and edit.
i really hope epic will do a chapter with the artstyle of season og but the map quality of modern chapters

I personally really liked this season, and it's probably my favorite season 1 we've had so far. I've been playing this game every season since c1s3, and this for me was a great follow up to OG, but with a lot of flaws. The updates have definitely been a bit lackluster this season, but it had what c4s1 and c2s1 lacked for me, and that's meaningful updates. Off the top of my head I can remember the ninja turtles updates, the (kinda mid but better than ch4) winterfest, and the solid snake update where the snow melted. With ch4 I only remember the mha collab and the heist LTM at the end, and with c2s1, it was really just fortnitemares, star wars and weapon side grading. I also think the map gets WAY too much hate, but it definitely is valid. I personally love the map due to how lived in it feels, and the only locations I feel like are the same would be ritzy revera and snooty steppes. I think it's a huge improvement over c4s1's map though, which is my second least favorite just behind wilds. That had 9 poi's that while unique, were either super realistic like the ones we have now, or just creative assets thrown together like anvil square and lonely labs. With ch4 I remember hearing the same "it doesn't feel like fortnite" and "the locations are too real" complaints, and while valid, I feel like are just overdone. I would love the game to go back to a cartoony artstyle, but I feel like this isn't that big of a deal. I also have been wanting weapon modding for YEARS so I think it is very cool to finally see it be in game, and I think the lootpool is generally good except for the frenzy auto, which should have been hard nerfed or vaulted months ago. I think this was a generally very fun season, and honestly topped all of chapter 3 and 4 for me. I just wish they'd go back to bind annual chapters, as with how many glitches and unpatched things there are it shows that they're already crunch timing for ch6. But the hand/pandora's box live event was so fun and memorable, and even just waiting hours for the stupid hand to pop up and teaming with random players was so fun. Whereas with a year ago with ch4 i was super pessimistic and wanted it gone ASAP, i now feel excited and hopeful for this chapter. Also, amazing video and I always love seeing opinions on this game I'm also so passionate about, so keep it up, and i just subbed and look forward to seeing what youll make next!

Epic was trolling leakers to prevent players from just listening to everything leakers says (since sometimes content can change even just a day before release). In a weird way, I believe it's Epic combatting toxic expectations. That being said, yes, eventually the event will happen.

I love the new season only because of rocket racing. I remember watching o.g youtubers showing a gameplay never seen in a fps now we have rocket league players showing moves and gameplay never seen before like tiger aura and cheequ
It’s the best season since chapter 3 season 1. I know why people don’t enjoy the season, but I think it’s great. There were some great POIS like ruined reels, reckless railways, and Fencing Fields. While I agree, the frenzy auto was absolutely broken, there was some other fun loot to use like the grapple blade, the reaper sniper, and the striker AR. While there were some questionable unvaults like the turret, and some questionable new stuff like the cardboard box and the EMP stealth grenades, I felt it didn’t take down the season too much. The item shop was ok, but I did like the battle pass. The TMNT event was so much fun and the hand live event was insane. I was in a champion ranked lobby with a bunch of sweats and everyone just gathered together to watch it happen. And yeah, this season also is special to me because not only did I hit unreal rank(by using bushcampdad strat), I also finally found a squad to play Fortnite with on a daily basis, which is something I’ve been looking for since I started back in C2S7. Overall I rank this season a 8.5/10
Some other stuff: Weapon mods might be the best thing to ever happen to Fortnite. Also normally I have to grind quests to get to level 200, but just playing normally got me to level 258(at the time of writing this). Also the bird is the word is my new favorite Fortnite emote

All i can say is that the item shops this season were abysmal. The same items returning every 5 days. And only if they are lego too.
I disagree with the notion that there are easier ways to get customizable loot. Crafting benches are only location in boss vaults or at the rifted island, which meant you had to risk your life to mod your weapons. What makes this PAINFUL is the fact that shotguns might have scopes or you might get a sniper without a scope. At the very least epic should have let us remove mods anywhere, cause I don’t want scopes on my shotguns
Or have 1 bench at each named location.
I'm pretty new (literally started last month), and I very much liked season 1 for Chapter 5. So far I'm not a fan of Season 2 though, but it's still early, so we'll see what happens.
Chapter 5 Season 1 was my very first proper introduction to Fortnite and from what I’ve experienced, I’ve enjoyed it. I played 1 or 2 rounds back in chapter 3, but it didn’t click back then for a younger me. Now, for my first season, I’ve hit Lvl. 252 and I’m still grinding literally everything I can before the next update. I’m excited to see what C5S2 has in store. With the Greek theme, maybe I can get Kratos! Only time will tell😄
I played this season almost entirely and I’ll have to give my rating, 8/10. I thought it was pretty good and the weapons were fun. I personally like the more grounded gameplay and imma be real,

I season was ok I had a massive break from Fortnite and came back when Fortnite OG happened but I liked the train and I liked how the island isn’t as cartoonish as the others and looks like real life locations. But of course nothings perfect and it has its flaws.
I had been playing on and off since season 4. When I first played the season, it was a big turn off. I quit the game, and only played once in a blue moon when my friends did. It sucked for me. Fortnite has kind of lost its cartoonish and light hearted charm, with comical and low quality effects. In my opinion, that's why Fortnite was so much different to the other BRs.
unpopular opinion: This season winterfest was better than last years. Yes, no cabin but: -We still got free rewards

I started playing in chapter 2 season 8 and I feel that this is a one of the greatest season so far, so many options so many new mythic, so many new collabs, make this feel like Fortnite in it's peak.
I am not sure if I feel the same about the season. I liked the map I felt variety BUT not from FN standards... it was so realistic and although the zones we as different as different places in Europe they where not as different as FN POI usually are... I don't like this new gameplay and the matchmaking I am suffering due to my career level is not helping at all. We lost the Creative Royale maps that were the substitution for the Battle Laboratory and for me was a great lost. About the loadout, the contribute to the "realistic vibes" I don't like, the new items (shield and chain) were fun but not so crazy and the add to the bullet fall mechanic to all the weapons for me was the worst decision ever: rifle become nearly inefficient long distant and gave a unfair advantage half of the season to the snipers that where so broken and were used to that kind of shooting. Mods were good idea but the limit to the boss vault made them nearly inaccesible to most of the players unless they risk to lose the game in the try, because there were always people camping there for easy kills.
I have the feeling that they used the holidays to try to cover how much they were affected for the layoffs and dividing the team due to the new modes. I work in support in a bug company and it sound stupid to me to totally freeze everything for nearly a month due to "dev holidays" and leave so few content and a lot of bugs and problems... And the change in the UI/UX and the shop was horrible and greedy. I have the feeling I will quit the BR soon unless they do something to made it more fun to play for me and my friends, as we spent more time in other modes than in BR nowadays.
I think the storyline was affected by the bugs not fixed at beginning of the season as it was reported that new players had more storyline missions that the rest of players related to Peely storyline. I think that TMNT was one of the best collab in the game and probably the only reason I played that much the season, and the last weeks with the Odyssey missions bring me hope for this new season. Seasonal events are so lazy nowadays that I have the feeling that it is better if they take them away as they did with the Valentine one. I think that it is clear that a lot of things failed backstage and that why we have no augments, the Winterfest was so bad (just a LTM and it was bugged most of the time) and the shop made no sense.
For me the season fall to the curse of the first Season of the Chapter after the 4.1 has survived it quite well. They must think better not to change so much things before xmas next time.
The bosses just got really boring towards the end

If the sniper wasn't able to have its scope modded this season I would've played 5x as much, that ruined zero builds no matter the amount of people on your team.
I actually really liked this season with 5 mythics spread across the map. It reminds of ch2 s2 which is my favorite season so it has a lot of nostalgia for me also i'm a tmnt fan so it did put a smile on my face seeing them come too fortnite

I'd say this season was mid. If you are a casual player, take my words with a grain of salt, becuase I've pushed to champ and can be considered sweaty. I disliked this season. Auto shotties turned people to w+m1 robots, while the snipers were being used as shotguns. The loot pool was stale and I had no idea what was happening with the lore until the gaint hand popped out.
Personally, this season was super boring

And the content drought made this season so stale and it never got better till TMNT, but that's 2 months of basically the same game.

Ok so I’m a returning player and playing Chapter 5 Season 1 was my first time playing fort actively since Season X (that shit stank made me quit), and this season is really good. I like the POIs (could use a city though), and the vaults you can find all across the map. There’s lots of loot to go around with all of it in exception of the autoshotty and enforcer being good and powerful. BP skins are all nice as well and the bosses were all great risk v reward spots to check out for mythical weapons. There are lots of mats across the map, except metal but you need to visit junk junction for that, metal is supposed to be tough. I don’t really see the hate for the season to be honest, I get the fact people see it as less wacky but we still have outlandish things like flowberries that give you hop rocks and bosses that are Peter Griffen and a bipedal tiger. Overall I had fun all season and I think it’s gud, deffo better than like season 6 imo.
Been playing since season 7 chapter 1 and I really enjoyed this season.

When I really think about there is no Fortnite season I truly hate, Ch4 S4 was close but there is still a lot I like about that season.
I know this is such a small detail but I wish they hadn’t turned the map, it was supposed to have the snow at the bottom so it would look like chapter 2, but they changed it into a map that’s longer than it is tall, which doesn’t feel right

Probably my most played season. The only seasons ive played is chapter 1 s7, 8, 9, 10, ch2 s1, 2, ch3 s2, 3, c4 s3, og, and ch5 s1. I love the battle pass, and the theme is so cool and unique compared to previous seasons, the guns are amazing, bloom being non exist because of mods, the map's pois being beutiful architecture aswell i will be sad when this season ends
I like the season but the map is horrible. Pretty much every named location is one of two things. 1: Big House 2: Big House Surrounded By Small Houses And that is it. Even the unnamed locations are boring they are gas stations or yet again a house. Please add something unique to the next season!
I personally found this one pretty fun, havent played in a while and this season got me back into fortnite. They had Snake, which has been one of the guys ve wanted in this game for a while, im just waiting for Dante at this point. I found the gameplay to be fun, and the tmnt stuff was cool, i grew up on the 80s and 90s turtles cartoon and bought the shredder thing. My only real problem was the map, wasnt as good as other ones.
Also, i did really like chapter 4 season 1, loved the mideval stuff. The jungle and heist seasons werent that good in my opinion though. I do hope they get back to having a real story though, they seem to be getting around to something but i hope they remember that the 7 exist and to bring up what happened.
I think at first I wasn’t feeling this season right after OG, but after playing it for a while, it’s definitely beat any season in chapter 4
Love the video, but I gotta disagree with you on the loot pool. I found it very imbalanced, with the striker AR being so much better, even with the enforcer ar getting buffed. There really was no decision. My loadout was always the same. Striker AR or thunder burst, hammer pump, sniper, grapple blade, and big pots. There was not question of what loot was better.

It was great, tmnt event, solid snake as the secret skin, bp was pretty good aswell, also the new map they introduced here is much better then the chapter 4 map. Also with the additions of lego fortnite, festival and rocket racing it never felt boring. There was always something different to do.
They need to buff the pump, its completely obsolete in comparison to the frenzy, there's no situation where a pump would do better, specially in no build, the biggest problem is the map, i agree there's no place you can always say, which makes you explore more but at the same time you never feel satisfied, you may have long matches where you suddenly instantly die cus you only encountered bots until the end game where suddenly everyone is cracked, or moments where you die at the start cus you thought everyone would be a bot but all the players collectively thought this is where they will drop, tilted towers was a place where you know people will fight competently and if you wanted a slower start you could go else where, now its a bit unpredictable, which tbh was part of the appeal of fornite imo, being able to have your own play style and still win

I use PhotoPea to edit my thumbnails. It's a bit of a learning curve but a great tool and absolutely free.

some items weren’t balanced like the auto/riot shield, and some were garbage like anvil rocket launcher/hammer pump, hope theres more balanced items for the next coming seasons

Here's the deal, we got this cool train feature on the map....and no one used it. That feels like such a bummer, like the train in Apex was hype as heck but this....

I give c5s1 a solid 8/10. I liked the whole theme of it being 2 people against a whole gang to try and save their friend and I thought all the characters were really cool. Some complaints I have tho is that I really hate going against frenzy shotguns and riot shields. Also old snake looks weird like his face is too small.

This is when I first started playing Fortnite, so this season is all I know. As a result, I loved it! 10/10! Peak Fortnite! Of course, Though I am being semi-sarcastic, I do wonder what I wonder what I missed with those other chapters & seasons...

I’d even go as far to say I really don’t understand how people COULD actually enjoy this season tbh. It kinda blows my mind but I guess it really shows that everyone can have a different opinion and perspective tbh. I have a few theories as to why tho. Maybe because a lot of the player base is still casual af in Fortnite and a lot of their lobbies have 50 or more Literal AI bots in their lobbies they don’t care or notice the flaws in the game as much as sweaty players do. That’s my 2 sense on it all. I still think this season was an absolute disaster tho

This is easily the most mixed season ever imo, I can't say it was absoloutely horrendous but it is definetly in the ten worst season, but it is really hard for me to say that. I actually really like the map, I think they did a good job but they should have had a bit more cities imo, I hate all the new weapons(besides the sniper I like it) the mods to these weapons are also really bad, the movement is alright, bit weird at the beggining but I like it now. I like some of the locations etc Snooty Steeps, Fencing, Plazza, and my favorite locations being the train one which I can't really remember the name of rn, I will give the season this, This is definetly one of my favorite seasons in terms of creative and playing with friends, even do we all avoided battle royale since we thought it was terrible.
Lego was alright, It was good but boring after a few, my favorite is probably fortnite festival, rocket racing absoloutely sucks in some ways but I like it with others. Really really really mixed season, also I really like the battle pass.

Overall this season was really great, with good LTM ( Lego, Racing, Festival ), Great boss POI, great lootpool, really good collabs (Family Guy, TMNT) Overall I give a 7,5/10, it was a fun season.

This is by far the best season to me and it brought me back to the game.
After this season ends it will probably be forgotten there’s nothing good it’s all mid or bad winter fest was trash the lot pool is one of the worst because of all the spam spray weapons like the stupid frenzy auto shotgun and cluster clingers the snipers are op not because of bullet drop it because you can have 3-5 bullets with out reloading not to mention it has a faster reload time compared to most snipers also Peter griffin will be the only skin remembered in the battle pass the map is not bad but it’s very bland and all feels the same the weapon attachments need to leave after chapter 5 because if they stay in future chapters it will ruin the game because as long as there in the game they will never bring back any old weapons back
I’ll be onest it was not back I injoyed it but it did get really annoying trying to look around and aim at a opponent than you get one shot by a sniper and third partying was another issue I hate the sniper there to powerful but thay my opinion you are free to tell me you own opinion on them but besides the sniper’s and third partying it was a decent season

Chapter 5 season 1 is the most fortnite I've played since chapter 1, I'd play a little chapter 2, 3 & 4 but for the past month I've actually enjoyed fortnite.
All the items and weapons serve a great purpose (besides the hammer pump, theres no reason to carry it when the other shotgun is as good as it is). The movement this season makes it so good too, the grapple blade is one of the best items but it means you'll have to sacrifice a gun from your inventory or heals so it's always a trade. The maps not super exhilarating but i really enjoy the Mediterranean vibes we got, the snow and the forested areas are alright.
Pretty good if not really good season but that's just my opinion and my opinion in having played the last half or third of it.
I like how balanced the grapple blade is. They did a good job.
Shields and the snipers ruined this season for me, I also agree with you about the map

It was good we got so many fools collabs and mythics and a good map. And 4 games
