Dana Point Tide Pools

The Dana Point Tide Pools ( californiatidep... ) are easy to get to and offer a lot to see. The tide pools are located right behind the Ocean Institute. Walk north along the beach and there are lots of rocks covered by mussels, barnacles, limpets and other marine life. This tide pool area also has several large colonies of tube worms and aggregating sea anemones. The large rock at the base of the stairs is also worthwhile to explore.
