You guys truly encompass the emotional roller coaster that is elk hunting. Literally nobody comes close to making better videos than you. Thanks for the awesome content and keep up the good work!
It's awesome that you guys show video of the folks you meet hunting. Part of the reason I follow you all is because you are real people. Keep up the great work!
I just want to say I’m a fairly new subscriber but you guys have renewed my excitement in elk hunting!!!! I have some health issues that have really limited my ability to get as far back in and really commit to chasing elk back woods like I love doing, and honestly before I started watching you guys I had considered giving up elk hunting. That being said watching your RUclips channel made me again want to do the best I could to harvest an elk so myself my wife and 2 buddies of mine put in as a party here in Montana for antlerless elk tags and I was fortunate enough to fill my tag early in the season with a nice big cow. Thanks again for the always positive attitudes when hunting and the fantastic work you all do to bring us these videos. Keep up the great work and shoot straight. Rich from Montana(406)
I know where you are coming from man. I’m a little, old, short , fat , ugly, crippled, half deaf, half blind guy with COPD. I’ve been hit by a train, shot 6 times and struck by lightning. His year will be my 56th in the elk woods. All I can say is hang in there bud, and go get an elk.
i normally just watch hunting show, but since i ran into your video through hushin from joseph carter the mink man and i'm hooked... i love the humor, dedication, and crews, how everything is not portray like most hunting show, just gunning for a monster rack, but the worst is no respect to the quarry they're after...but what i truly love most is that you encourage others to go out and chase this dream and thankful to god and take grace upon what's given... thank you so much and please load more videos, but please stay safe and god bless you all.
You guys are awesome. Fellow Oregon natives and hunters. My husband and I watch you guys every night together. When our 3 year old hears you start calling he starts looking for our tube. If you could shout out my husband Justin would be amazing!
Funny story to start your day.. I watched you guys, Elk 101, subscribed to Dirk’s channel (makes a great Santa), and verified I was subscribed to Angry Mountains channel last night right before falling asleep. Just now woke from a dream of meeting up with Trent in a town at the foothills of elk country. We talked and laughed for a while, where I shared how I appreciate what you guys are doing and your authenticity. It was out of season and Trent said he planned to drive up the mountain to scope out some elk hunting areas where he was gracious to invite me along. We did, laughed most of he way, found what looked like great habitat to Trent’s satisfaction, and headed back to town. We hit a bump hard enough though that Kody (all of a sudden appearing in the back seat) deeply cut his leg and hand with his Benchmade knife (similar to Dave with the Elk101). We rushed down the hill to get him medical attention where we prayed for Kody quick, dropped me off with some gear Trent needed to return to town, and you headed out. I returned the gear, found a few items that were actually yours so called you and found out that Kody was doing good after the doctor visit. I was glad enough for that news that I woke up. Was a good way to start my day.. Appreciate what you guys are doing and hope to meet you guys for real someday. Take care
Thanks guys for showing the world that it really sucks to loose an animal. It took me about 5 years of hunting after loosing my first one before I drew back on another one. Its a horrible feeling and it happens to the best...Elk are tough animals and don't always die easy.
I normally hate the intros on RUclips videos, but man, I get some pumped when the music starts and the opening sequence starts to roll. Love the footage. Great job!
Thank you guys for making a show that actually shows the real life behind the hunt! The good, the bad, the uglies, and the highs!!! Actually enjoy watching hunting this way! My dad was an outfitter for many years and I love hunting, but watching all the hunting shows just gets so boring. Keep doing what you love and we’ll continue to watch !
Hey Dirk, thanks for your involvement in this project. You are constantly making me laugh, keep enjoying life. Also, your reed is by far my favorite. I tried a bunch of different ones this year. The "Maverick" by far has the best tone and amazing volume. My second fav is the the Bros Yellow reed. Thanks guys for all the excellent content.
I'm excited for the next episodes and can't wait to curl up in a cozy quilt with my dirty chai latte and binge watch 2.0 all over again. Just finished 1.0 for the second time during the teaser and the 1st episode. Love it!
Those are wild rose hips. Super high in vitamin c. People use them in tea or soups. That fan was so lucky to meet you guys! That’d make my hunt for sure. Best line in the video Dirk saying “ I am going to light a match!” I about died laughing!!!!!
Your videos are the best. I can hardly wait until the end of the day so I can watch the next episode. I lay here at night watching them wondering what the elk outside eating the grass in my yard are thinking. Maybe it's your bulging and cow calling that are bringing them in and not my green lawn. Thanks for sharing your adventures, they really make my day.
You guys are awesome and fun to watch. I live in Georgia and have me wanting to go and do this terribly bad. Watching yall and hearing these elk scream sends chills down my back and the inspiration yall give is unreal.
Im in TN and these videos do the same to me. Been saving for 2 years to go out and do a 2 or 3 week DIY and set up a nice camp and just hike and bugle and glass.. Bull or no Bull, I would have a blast. Best time of my life hands down...
Very cool video guys! I can’t imagine running into another hunter and him telling you that you are the reason he is out there! So awesome! Keep grindin guys!
Thanks for posting these awesome videos. You guys are a breath of fresh air in the hunting industry. I was fortunate enough to take my first elk on October 25th this year and have been out of commission ever since due to a herniated disc in my back. I had surgery 3 days ago and your videos help entertain me while I am recovering.
“It’s like the forest and the elk are working together to screw us over. Ima light a match.” -Dirk Durham describing blowdown city. LOL I know the frustration 😆
You guys are awesome! I follow you guys on your RUclips and Podcasts. After getting out of the army I moved back up here to Montana and began doing a lot of elk hunting! Thank you guys for the phenomenal audio and RUclips experiences.
So darn cool to run into one of your fans out there. I was just explaining the impact and snowball effect of your videos to my son after the other team saw the camps on the other side of the meadow and bam, you run into a fan from Wisconsin.
5:42 This is what its all about. This is why I like the BRO's. Down to earth, not fake like most of these other hunters with big channels that I have met on RUclips. Never met the BRO's but from what I hear and see, class acts. 👊🏼🙏🏼🥋
Those are wild rose buds! Basically they hold the seeds from the flowers that got pollinated. The pods turn red when they are maturing. But to answer your question, yes they are edible :)
Awesome series guys. Tell Dirk that I have some paper with his name on it for watching your series while driving through Oregon 🙂. He passes my office on his way home.
Just started watching. Great vids. I wasn't able to go to Colorado This year due to rotator cuff surgery July 13. Recovery going great, can't draw a bow yet but I will be ready for Colorado elk in 2019. God bless and good luck.
First we had throat punch, then there was Hollywood, after seeing Trent's new moves I think the new nickname of the group is the "Blow down ballerina " or maybe "Dead fall ninja " . Thanks for all you guys do!
Enjoying the season so far. It’s a lot like mine was this year. The bulls we’re not as vocal and the whole season just seemed a little slower. Also the new shirts look great can’t wait for to come out.
The next time Doug Flutie calls you in, just commit and go critique his calling and let him know what he can do better in the future. Haha. You guys are extremely talented with calling and I love watching. Keep up the good work and stay safe.
Like the shirts guys maybe a front pocket with the bro crew logo on it . Did a good job catching the bull , on film Trent! Could make him out just fine , looked like we had the same view as you . Like Dirk said , looked like a dandy bull. Only thing that would have topped that was him laying on the ground being prepped for the Freezer& frying pan!
Another awesome video guys! Dirk, you need to buy a Lottery Ticket! What are the odds of running into a fan in the woods? What are the odds of running into a fan you've exchanged videos with? I'm not going to lie, I'd be just as choked-up as that dude if not more. You guys rock! Can't wait for the next one.
I have a question How would I even start to lurn how to use a elk call planning my first elk hunt next year Would you recommend just trying a cow call and sticking to that
Love the new shirts in my opinion you guys are awesome. I have been on 3 elk hunts with friends and my brother. But still have not heard any bugles not even one 2 of the hunts they got there elk. I am putting next year hopefully I will get my first experience with hearing the beautiful sounds of elk screaming. Love watching keep it gentleman. I watch every day. I love what you guys are doing.
If it was me I would put Born and Raised on the left sleeve of the Cat road Shuffle shirt. You guys rock Bros! Congrats from here on the Olympic Peninsula
Question for Dirk: What videos do you recommend for learning to use a diaphragm call? I feel like I am getting down some basics now but want to learn more!
Just want to throw a shout out to Dirk for responding to me on instagram and chatting with me for a bit... I watched your RUclips video how to bugle a elk bugle and it’s not easy but one thing you told me is to never give up and on time it will come along....so I’m not giving up I practice as much as I can during my free time There’s time my wife tells me to put it away or go outside well then I go outside lol an give it a few more try’s .....so hopefully next season I can bugle a bull in. Well thanks again Dirk thanks land of the free for the awesome videos you guys make I’m sure learning a lot from you guys.
It would be cool to hear at the beginning of each episode each hunter (like the first time he is on your series....not every dsy), what bow set up (bow, arrow, broadhead, sight -single or multi pin, release) and just why they chose and brief pro/cons of their rig
Love the cat road shuffle shirts. My dad and I have done that for years deer hunting and killed lots of bucks. We just didn't know we were on to a slogan! Lol
Listened to the live Q & A podcast today and it was quite entertaining. Both shirt color options are great but I agree with Cory Wiseman that branding the sleeve would work..and even better lengthwise down a long sleeve. Stacked BRO logo with the arrow. Team 'Merica almost got on the board if that other cow didn't bolt.
Great work guys, love your stuff. Just curious, why do you seem to start so late in the day? Do you not take mid day naps? Are you pacing yourselves because you're hunting so much?
I love how emotional that young man got when he met you guys. It just goes to show how inspirational you guys are to so many people!
You guys truly encompass the emotional roller coaster that is elk hunting. Literally nobody comes close to making better videos than you. Thanks for the awesome content and keep up the good work!
Hey thanks Dirk for the shout out man. Really appreciate it. Keep up the good things brother.
Mountian Made Man you bet brother! Thank you!
It's awesome that you guys show video of the folks you meet hunting. Part of the reason I follow you all is because you are real people. Keep up the great work!

Travis the man from Wisconsin, pretty cool

I almost pissed myself when Dirk said " I feel it in my plums". Instant classic! Loving it!

Same here dude! Really hope to do it in a few years
Love the brown t-shirt with the “on contour” elk and cat road shuffle. I’ll take two!
I never realized that ELK are some beautiful & almost majestic animals . They can blend right in with the scenery. Good luck 👍🏻
Really enjoy the banter. If you're not already humble, they'll help you get there. Too funny.
Its cool to see other hunters running into you guys in the woods. Has been a tough hunt so far but you guys are having fun and that's what counts.
Very cool video guys! I can’t imagine running into another hunter and him telling you that you are the reason he is out there! So awesome! Keep grindin guys!
Real world AS IT IS, that's what I LOVE about this channel. Every day in the elk woods is a win.
Another great watch! The comic relief is Top Shelf! Love what you guys are doing!
Thanks for posting these awesome videos. You guys are a breath of fresh air in the hunting industry. What a bugle fest! Thought for sure Dirk was gonna bag that stud! Awesome to see you run into a fan while you're on a hunt. You guys are rock stars.
What an incredible chance meeting in the woods. I love it!
"I can feel it in my plumbs" bwahaha. That just made my day. Good one Dirk!
So glad you guys finally showed the hunters you see on Camera! So awesome!!
The Bro’s are famous. You guys made Wisconsin’s day. He’ll remember that for life.
Dirk is a rock star, all you guys are great! There is some blowdown in Colorado, for sure. Doug Flutie is awesome 😎
Those are rose hips and they are high in vitamin C.
“It’s like the forest and the elk are working together to screw us over. Ima light a match.”

Dirk is always a hoot make everyone laugh

So pumped on this. I am also from sconny and will be doing this solo for my first time fall 2019. Thanks for the great footage!
Good one guys. Loved the action in the burnt woods. Keep at it.
So darn cool to run into one of your fans out there. I was just explaining the impact and snowball effect of your videos to my son after the other team saw the camps on the other side of the meadow and bam, you run into a fan from Wisconsin.
THAT WAS SO COOL. to see the BUGLER HAPPY is jolly good lol. looked to be a good bull!. oh man that got me fired up!

Yes! I’ve been hoping that is one of the new shirts. Noticed it every time Kody has worn it. Brown looks great.
Those are wild rose buds! Basically they hold the seeds from the flowers that got pollinated. The pods turn red when they are maturing. But to answer your question, yes they are edible :)
Pro you kneed another laughing photographer/videographer? Love you guys

Dirks growling in the burn, my,my! I heard and saw bulls doing that this year. He would have called me in, no doubt
Great job, excited to come home from work to watch this series.
Another awesome show.
Love what your doing with the pod cast
The office, but can't wait to see a few more elk hit the ground
Enjoying the season so far. It’s a lot like mine was this year. The bulls we’re not as vocal and the whole season just seemed a little slower. Also the new shirts look great can’t wait for to come out.
Thanks Rob I'm going to be looking into the DeLorean in touch and I can't wait to get back out to the mountains next year maybe Wyoming this time
I love you guys you make it so fun and Dirk, what can I say except man you're just such a funny stud! The best.
So stoked to see the guy from Wisconsin!!!!!!
The next time Doug Flutie calls you in, just commit and go critique his calling and let him know what he can do better in the future. Haha. You guys are extremely talented with calling and I love watching. Keep up the good work and stay safe.
Awwwww that was a really nice bull, cant wait to see what happens tomorrow!!!!
Like the shirts guys maybe a front pocket with the bro crew logo on it .
Did a good job catching the bull , on film Trent! Could make him out just fine , looked like we had the same view as you . Like Dirk said , looked like a dandy bull.

The colors of the shirts are perfect great neutral colors
Awesome guys, I get so stoked when 5:00 comes.. God bless guys
I'M GONNA LIGHT A MATCH !!!!! Dirk is killing it !!!!
Truly an amazing quest, good luck to all
The east bound and down reference timing was perfect!
Love Dirk’s lip bawls!
Loving the show... Keep up the good work and hopefully we will cross paths herd in Colorado one day..
If it was me I would put Born and Raised on the left sleeve of the Cat road Shuffle shirt.
You guys rock Bros! Congrats from here on the Olympic Peninsula
Just curious what you found out about the two dead heads Nick found. Were you able to retrieve them?
Great job guys. Cant wait to see rest of hunts
My Question to Dirk what is the key to a perfect bugle call also huge shout out to all of you for sharing the amazing footage and the journey
Question for Dirk: What videos do you recommend for learning to use a diaphragm call? I feel like I am getting down some basics now but want to learn more!

thanks land of the free for the awesome videos you guys make I’m sure learning a lot from you guys.
AJ Tamez Thank you!!!
Love the new shirts!!! Black looks good!!
Put the “Born And Raised” under the elk on the front of the new cat road shuffle shirt.
Keep them coming. Can’t get enough 👍👊
I spent 8 days this past September in Northern central Colorado climbing through blowdowns! This makes me feel like I'm doing it all over again!
Kody smashing those French fries and burger, after 4 days on the mnt is the best 😂
It would be cool to hear at the beginning of each episode each hunter (like the first time he is on your series....not every dsy), what bow set up (bow, arrow, broadhead, sight -single or multi pin, release) and just why they chose and brief pro/cons of their rig
Who the heck needs cable TV when you have the BRO crew ;)
Hell Yea thx for California Fireman Shout Out!!
Love the cat road shuffle shirts. My dad and I have done that for years deer hunting and killed lots of bucks. We just didn't know we were on to a slogan! Lol
Those red berry looking things are rose hips. Very edible, best when soft on the plant still. Make great tea, add some juniper berries or spruce tips.
So excited to watch this episode.
Just watched the elk 101 team. Cory had some bad luck ,tough miss let's see how the how the BRO crew does
Another great video guy's I'd say sharing camp with u guy's would be a blast thanks for all the inspiration 👍
The new shirts look awesome
25:25 what happened to Dirk’s ear?
Listened to the live Q & A podcast today and it was quite entertaining. Both shirt color options are great but I agree with Cory Wiseman that branding the sleeve would work..and even better lengthwise down a long sleeve. Stacked BRO logo with the arrow. Team 'Merica almost got on the board if that other cow didn't bolt.
I believe those "berries" were rose hips! Love the show!
18:37 - Rosa rugosa (a variety of rosehip, different than rosa canina)
Just started the video and the intro finished so time to watch.
Great bull indeed! Like Dirk said, it seems so tough to hunt the burn. I kept thinking how wide open it is
Great work guys, love your stuff. Just curious, why do you seem to start so late in the day? Do you not take mid day naps? Are you pacing yourselves because you're hunting so much?
