It was my dream for years to go on a guided tour with John Anthony West in Egypt. My best friend and I use to talk about it, once we "made it" or just had the money to travel we would go together. He has since passed away, I still really wanted to go and thought about taking his sister in his stead but now John Anthony West has passed away as well.
Life won't wait, don't waste it.

Sound Evolution no kidding. That lady needs to have a warm cup of stfu. Or at the very least practice herself in courtesy. I might be wrong, but I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that John Anthony is probably the reason they're there.

I always wanted to take a trip with JAW. But since he stopped the international ticketing it's been to difficult to organise it from Germany. Thankfully we have in Germany a man with a similar approach (well, not JAW's level and certainly not following the footsteps of Schwaller de Lubicz) but it was the next best thing and it was amazing, took the trip in October 2014. Great travelling group from Switzerland, Austria and Germany. Exploring the sites at the early hours to avoid the "zoo" ;) ... private session in the Great Pyramid and the Osireion etc. from Cairo to Aswan -- great evening dinner there at the west bank at the nubian restaurant where Muhammed Ali used to spend some nights, even held a genuine scarab beetle that just was crawling by.
Great to see the "old geezer" still at large and thanks a bunch for putting all this footage up in such a good quality.
I'll certainly will delve and reminisce in these recordings :)

Thanks for this priceless tour with John Antony West. That's the second best thing after actualy going there. But if you ever do more of this tour in Egypt temples..please show the suroundings more, while listening to the guide.

There is a renewed interest in John Anthony West and ancient egypt... You should repost some of your videos... Maybe cut them down several 20 minute clips... I think they would take off. This is priceless footage that I think most people have no idea even exists.

I always assumed the chiselled out imagery was vandalised by later Christian and Muslim iconoclasts. This is the first time I've encountered the idea of the pagans decommissioning their own temples.

.....I have read and own 3 of John's books and spoke with him on the phone (mid-1990's) with an interest to experience his 2 week Symbolism Egyptian Tours with respect to view the antiquity of these special sites with him in person.....I have also been to Egypt on 2 previous occasions.....HOWEVER, I echo the other sentiments and comments as mentioned below here, that the arabian female who constantly interrupts John (starting at 21:06) whilst he is in conversation and, unfortunately is she a prerequisite for these tours to take place by the Egyptian authorities ???, as I have noticed that she is also in all the 2015 videos here, as well as all John's tour videos the following year in 2016 ???.....There is no way I could have undertaken any of the tours with her participation in attendance, her anchestral antiquity is arabic NOT african, and her cultural background has certainly NO affiliation whatsoever with the ancient antiquity of the "builders" of the Nile Valley monuments over the millennia.....the present arabic populace of Egypt are NOT indigenous or associated in any format with the ancient antiquity and uniqueness of the Nile Valley art and sculpture, but purely the remaining relics of the 'invading-forces' to occupy the country at this time!!!!!!!!
cheers so hard to get videos like this and taking the video you miss a lot, at the time ,but give to us all a taste of what was being said and the teaching it times like this you wished you had some good friends all with videos and lights cheers these real videos help much more than commercial TV programs where you just get a snippet of 5 seconds because most people can not concentrate on a tv show unless it is fast moving.

I am sorry to inform you that by focusing on this guy you have substituted a magical, inspiring experience for a bunch of childish interpretations delivered by an old hipocrite that does not understand shit about Egypt. All he does is read the temples like comic books not even in the correct order.
You can be a misinformed interpreter of Egypt even without paying him for these stupid trips.
I actually have academic degrees in Egyptology, darling. I am one of the people that lives and breathes with this shit and struggles to advance actual science so that old monkey over there can come, recite half of our achievements and shit on the other half with his childish comic book stories, and then call us "quacademics".

but you still don't know that cause you ain't even Googled the most basic things about Edfu temple.
Though the live video of the tour is interesting, especially to watch the many temple walls up close and provide a little bit of historical information… But sadly there are many mistakes by both the English tour guide and the local Egyptian lady… As an example describing that the word for gold 𓋞 “nbw” is upside down, but in actuality it’s the word for mound 𓈏 “iAt” at 1:10:07. There is a lack of knowledge in the hieroglyphic department, and especially-surprisingly, in the accuracy of identifying the gods.
Always be mindful of that most tour guides are not very well knowledgeable. They’re taught the basics of the temples and perhaps some interesting details that the tourists may find intriguing.
Keep in mind there trying to make a living and they may not necessarily be passionate about the history and the culture and more the business aspect.
Thank you for your observation in this video, I have only recently come across this gentleman, John Antony West, and others he refers to.
I thought thier is something wrong in gold translate, and of gold symbol frog ranch series has shown these dome like structrues that were used for smelting gold and now see the pope wearing this shape hat with three tiers.
I would also suggest something suspicious with gentleman who asks about horus and the temple, was this knocked down rebuilt, checking this, is perplexing to say the least who really knows. But I do appreciate the video, as I know I would never get to see these places in my lifetime and now even more.

No, I feel it was used to call the group together - I'd imagine the sound of that clicker works quite well in the middle of a temple which no doubt provides excellent ability to let sound travel.
That dude in the white and black stripes never covers his mouth while he yawns. Lol about 4 times he is full open mouth and probably has no clue how many people will actually see him.

No, it's EVERY DAY ! And it's right next to almost EVERY egyptian temple, Luxor, Karnak, Abydos etc. Unless you're really far off like in the Valley of the Kings or Dashour
