@@jonbonthewonton my previous bottle before i got the latest round of new ones was probably 2018-2019. I find the taste of the new one to be very similar to the old, and sitting in my fridge for the last 3-4 years, I’m sure the taste has changed due to continual fermentation or just age/time. That being said though, I still find the original brand to be better tasting than the newer imitations out of the ones I tried.

Sorry but Huy Fong hands down is still the best. I can;t believe they even consider Underwood something similar. I was also so hyped about Underwood, like they claimed "its the pepper that make the sauce" I was incredibly bummed when I tasted underwood. Huy Fong I was unable to find it. But when I finally got it now, oh man, its as if nothing of value was lost. It is exactly the same. Huy Fong managed to pull it off with the new suppliers and it is back in business just like it used to be. I don't think I will be able to live without Huy Fong for the rest of my life.

The old huy fong was sweeter then it is now so for you to point that out is awesome I’ve been waiting for some to point that out . under wood has that little hint of sweetness and that was definitely from the type of peppers they use which can’t be duplicate easily .
I purchased the Underwood Ranches brand and we also did a comparison taste test. We both agreed that the Underwood Ranches had better distinct flavor compared to the Hoy Fung version that is coming out now. Hopefully the price of the underwood Ranches will go down as people catch on that their sauce has the original peppers and will start buying their sauce.

I bought a pack of 2 from Costco last month and it is the only hot sauce that made me nearly gag Not sure if it’s just the batch at my Costco, but the pepper flakes in the bottles weren’t fully blended and could be seen Flavor wise it was like every ingredient was doing its own thing and never truly melded together

Why should price matter their only like 5-10$ just choose which one you like the og bottle still taste the same it’s just not as spicy but I’m pretty sure it’s due to the fact of the peppers being rushed where Mexico didn’t even meet the requirements which some could of been undergrown or overush still dumb how they made a new sauce why not just negotiate the price to stay in business but guess that didn’t go out well🤷♂️
It's just you lol. The og sriracha used red jalapeños, but stopped during the dispute from what I understand. I believe they always had it listed as "Chili's" though. I think Underwood is spicier, and the huy fong has more garlic flavor. Both are very good IMO
