Thanks for all your content, KG. I have the 55" A95L. I have noticed that streaming Dolby Vision from Netflix and Apple TV (for both, I'm using the built-in apps) does NOT trigger the words "Dolby Vision" to appear at the top of the screen. But the 3 Dolby picture modes DO appear as my picture options. Weird. When streaming from the Movies Anywhere app, the "Dolby Vision" words DO appear at the top of the screen. Also, the built-in Apple TV+ app has quite a dark picture, to the point where I have to choose the Dolby Vision Vivid picture mode. Although I do know that people are reporting Dolby Vision issues, I have not seen anyone mention the specific 2 issues I mentioned here (no "Dolby Vision" indicator triggered, and very dark Apple TV). The other issue is that audio/video are out of sync when watching my Blu Ray player (for Blu Rays, DVDs, and 4K discs). I have a new Sony receiver. Adjusting the audio delay on the receiver fixes the problem, but still,. a weird problem to have when I'm using a brand new Sony TV and brand new Sony receiver and brand new Sony Blue ray player.

This tv really is great. Sony always delivers. One key aspect to know is there is some dimming that occurs with ABL in gaming. Other tv brands give you the option to disable logo dimming which impacts gaming. Sony still has not added this feature. There are several videos online detailing this. I had the A95K for a few weeks and changed it for the A95L.
In my opinion there is a noticeable difference in picture quality.
Build quality is superior and the stand on a95l feels more stable with much less wobble ,
Better sound quality, thinner chassis and lighter. I think the second generation QD panel is designed to have more longevity and should do better against burn in.
It’s definitely a lot brighter and has a greater depth image and sharpness due to the XR clear processor. So if your in the market for a new tv I wouldn’t always advise to spend extra to get this newer set over the A95K.
