Gentleman, what an outstanding, impressive, impecable satisfying work of art you guys have done, after watching your video it left me with the wild desire to be there in person to see each and every step in the progress, would of been so satisfying making me feel like a kid with a new toy, what an impecable job, "CONGRATULATIONS GUYS" to each and every one that one way or another made it possible to bring it to us, my most expressive thanks, blessings to all of you gentleman, from the endless summer paradise Puerto Rico Jesus Torres.
Very amazing job, this truck looks fantastic your one talented modification skilled professional person .No doubt about it ,thanks for sharing your videos .
So, perfectly, perfectly awesome, a real treasure. Lots of work, but worth all the effort. The owner was very good in believing in the man he hired to do this very difficult job. Often the buyer cannot imagine all that has to be done to accomplish what the artist has in mind. This really worked-out well....good job to both of you guys. The old customizers like an uncle of mine would often "french" the headlights, taillights, and license plates on cars. I really made them look "custom" and so-so cool. What a great job here!!!!!! Everyone will need to hear the story of your truck.
👍👌👏 Oh WOW, simply fantastic! Extremely "weld" done, Sirs! That's what I call a good looking truck. I absolutely love rounded edge design vehicles (no matter if new or old). Thanks a lot for making teaching explaining recording editing uploading and sharing. Best regards luck and especially health to all involved people.
Awesome!! I Love it!! The only things I'd change would be to paint it a slightly darker green, more like the green used on Jaguars, and then to paint the fenders black, which is what they did back in the 40's and 50's. Lastly, I'd have a very traditional name hand painted on the doors, in a toned black and ivory, in the traditional arch. That would be Bitchin'!! Great job Ian!
Ian you are a fabulous builder. That's an amazing job! Love those old trucks and I'm green with envy for the guy who gets to work with it every day. Great video.
Afternoon, about 20 years ago I had a late ,1940's KBR-8 International, single axle tractor, had a homemade wrecker body on the back, I installed a Simplex 5th wheel...if I remember it had a 370? Blue diamond six cylinder, thing ran well.....man, Ian, you are doing a fantastic job!! You definitely have a imagination!
My Grandfather had a late 40s IH PickUp truck and he gave me a Plastic Model of it from that same period. I played with it for years. Now I wish i had searched for a old IH PU and had a real one to drive in his memory. This project was so awesome IAN you have such great skills in fabrication. Thank You for Sharing, Dennis in Virginia
Yes ,you do amazing work my friend .The special skills on the modification you did on the pullout front end with the bumper and paint job, the Chrome .Every thing you worked on this truck ,It came out good , and very good looking ,better than Original my friend.
Great video great truck I wish we could do things like this in the uk probably can but too much legal paper work plus insurance might be a problem.like the colour.
Ian, I heard a nasty, nasty rumor that you were retiring. I pray that is not so. you are my favorite car show on Channel MTHD 281 here. you were on a 6pm and I always set that time aside. I am a 72 year old veteran who has worked on cars, mostly engines since I got out of the service, that ended about 15 years ago now. I miss it and you bring back memories. So as for Retiring, say it isn't so.
The 1939 GM Futurliner was made to transport the GM Parade of Progress around the country. This one looks like number 5 of the 12 originally built although there may be more than one of each variation. 9 of the original 12 remain. They use a 145 HP 302 gasoline engine This car carrier version is probably available for a little less than the one with a fully enclosed one that was sold at Barrett Jackson for a few million... $4.1 million I think but $5 million was also reported on the same sale.
I respect a fellow bald guy using an angle grinder in a confined space. Nothing feels better than a "fire baby" from a cut off wheel rolling down your skull and settling on your neck. You should visit the national pike steam and gas show in Richyville Pennsylvania you will see a ton of cool stuff and plenty of hit and miss engines.
A car based Panel is really known by two main names. They are Panel Wagons, and Sedan Deliveries. There are a couple more somewhat common names but truck isn't used to describe a car based station wagon with no back doors, no back windows, no back seat..........Just say'n
Need to handle that he can grab that you can put into the center of the hood and then a pad you can stand on and pull the handle in the whole Hood and the front end all pop up together
My father had a KB9 used in his small trucking company back before expressways. If my memory serves me right I believe the starter was a button on the floor by the accelerator. No driver comforts here

The project truck is literally FULL of unlimited rust!!!
Reminds me of "the other woman" in Jerome Arizona
Should have had a couple of chrome exhaust stacks then it would have been PERFECT
Noway,!
I have to do is make some big hinges at a quarter plate hook it to the front end of the truck and pull it
I'm curious what interior looks like

I guess your bald guy picture is scary all right, but hair burns...and stinks yeknow..
Light bar for top?

Did he ever put a self tarpper on it?
Need to handle that he can grab that you can put into the center of the hood and then a pad you can stand on and pull the handle in the whole Hood and the front end all pop up together
this is way too perfect and staged

I hauled can milk with a kb7 back in the sixties and we also had a KB 8
Vocês poderiam colocar legendas em português, gosto muito desse programa.
wow
My father had a KB9 used in his small trucking company back before expressways. If my memory serves me right I believe the starter was a button on the floor by the accelerator. No driver comforts here
I think you I need to weld up a headache rack
He and Bad Chad need to get together and create something amazing.
The one thing that I would add would be some old school pin striping.......

Install heavy duty linear actuators to lift cab
But who built the interior? It didn't have one in the scrapyard, but now it does.
