Everything about this episode is so money! Favorite part is seeing him as a puppy 🫶🏾.
That method of propulsion is absolutely terrifying.
I figured they would have rigged a potentiometer to a pedal or something, not a bunch of switches
its little more than a golf cart at this point.its not for the road if you cant manage 2 toggle switches around your property you best not drive anything other than a boring, automatic daily driver
@@trillrifaxegrindor4411 My golf cart has a potentiometer and a pedal. It's not about managing to flip switches, it's the fact that someone paid him to build something and that's what he came up with.
You didn't have a lot to work with but you came out on top again. Great job a cinderella transformation.
You need to get a pedal in there. switch on switch off gear setup is great . But alone, it might not be the safest situation.
Awesome content as always. Thanks for sharing and taking us along
Could you use a throttle off a golf cart for the throttle would be easier to control.??
So much fun watching! Ian you are a genius. 💡
Love it, and I really like the Moon discs from the 60's era.
So Old School Cool.
Very cool little ride
very nice work as always .
Awesome! Keep em coming!
Wow I'm watching your RUclips channel I knew I had watched your program before
…extraordinarily wéll done Ian et cie‼️
Superb job
most certainly going electric múst be a rad first ⁉️
Husband says, "She doesn't really like red". Wife says, "I like the red, I like the sparkly and I like the red"......
Just proves again that men will never figure women out.
She did however dig the Mooneyes wheel covers. Now it's "Moon Equipped".
Nice job again Ian, you're the man.
Hopefully you'll show more episodes
So I guess using the foot pedal off the fork truck or golf cart was just asking too much?
So cool and environmentally sound !
Would have taken apart motor, cleaned it and replaced brushes. Bearings? Battery setup is unique!
I love to see the drive & happyness you show when the plan comes together, wish you good luck on all your endeavors. G.M.
I worked with a guy in Florida, we painted dragster body's, we used paper with adhesive but we did it in sections, paint, tape it off, and do another design, cover that after painting, cover that, then connect everything with custom pinstripe., clear coat and you're finished
Who gives a fuck?
This guy really does some slipshod work. Did he really put an old grinding motor that turns in reverse into a paid project?
Show us your work big mouth.
Flip the ring gear over in your transaxle...it will reverse your gears...Lube your bearings. or replace them... gets rid of noise.
Reversing the polarity on a DC motor will make it turn the opposite direction.
As someone who has worked with fibreglass and carbon fibre for 18 years. There is no way that dude is a expert 😂😂 thay workmanship was pretty shocking and looked backyard done forsure
Can't wait to see your content!
all i can say it wow
Looks like Musk needs to have a talk with you.Just saying!!! David in Texas USA.
Did you kmow you can put the ring gear in frpm the other side like a transporter and fix your transmission issue.
That thing is so slow, it wouldn't be able to keep up with the traffic flow in a Wendy's drive through.
its a fucking golf cart now bro
**** you
just joined... i wanna see what you do to the buggie
I think i saw a 2cv behind ian in that boneyard
It's a DC motor. Can't you just reverse polarity at the motor, and you get 4 forward gears and one back? Parallel 2 batts to Up it to 24v for more speed?
Looks like a spider front grafted to a manx
Ion Is The MASTER
Hopefully, it will get better???!😮
Still wanting to know what type of Dog your shop dog is
Your using 1900s electric transition it's the electric version of hydraulic transmission.
Railroad has been here longer the automobiles your taking old technology applying to new stuff.
As good as ian is, i cant believe that! Do not put that noisey old elec, engine in my car !!! What????😮
The editing makes it look like you just slapped the chassis back together. I would liked to have seen some futzing as you lined it up square. More work b-roll in general would be great. I know you want to keep things moving, but, you make it look too easy...(smiley face).
Who is 56 two-door post is that in the background that was my dad's favorite car was a 56 but he preferred the two-door hardtop out all of them but he did have a couple of the two-door posts he made race cars out of those he had 13 56 chevys in his life time
It doesnt matter,,what it looks like,or sunds like,as long as it works????😢😮
Is that the Greased Lightning paint job? how original
Lets get those gears working for you....rotating wrong way....easy fix..remove both axles from transaxle...( drain oil )...remove six bolts on passenger side..pull off cover..and remove crown gear..( that easly..)..set aside..next remove cover from drivers side...then mount that cover..on passenger side..next put crown gear in from drivers side..and cover next..fill with oil..replace axles...done....now it rotates opposite....videos on it....on VW vans..do to reduced 50 % gearing.
He could have just flipped the differential in the transaxle .
Could have at least given a better steering wheel
Needs a pedal !!
That Buggy needs an Engine not electric motor crap, electric Vehicles are too quiet & have no soul. Body & Chassis work is outstanding Ian 👍👍👍
Was that a 66 Chevelle or a 67 my dad bought a 67 Chevelle SS 396 turbo jet 400 off the showroom floor back in 1969 the car is that on the showroom floor for 2 years and nobody had the money to buy it and my dad fell in love antibiotic and we had it in our family for long enough to where I was born in 1965 I was able to get my driver's license in that car and I figured it would be mine because hell and we had that car all the way up until I was probably about 28years old buddy turn around and sold it to one of his work and his wife went out and drove it around and got it wiped out pissed me off when I heard that considering I could have got more money out of that car than my dad did but oh well that's another storie
Paid to make a crap electric conversion by the petrol car marketers a nissan leaf guts would have given it 200 hp 5 x the 40 hp of the 1200 beetle engine and proper accelerator control rather than the suicide method of switches.
You're supposed to rip up dunes with that thing? 😂 It's a slow golf cart
Happy wife happy life
That roll cage is not tall enough
its a golf cart
@@trillrifaxegrindor4411 yup he cheaped out on the drive train instead of a hard acceleration lithium based system with a modern controller and brush less motor, he stuck in an old forklift motor and some old golf cart batteries
What an awful thing too say!!! No wonder,u dont want thes episodes shown😮!?
You shouldn't have done that
Not a fan of turning a classic dune buggy into a smart car 😢🇦🇺
golf cart, nothing smart about this car
Fake
The work is done, they just don't show it. "Magic Loner" is the effect they are after...
This is not your work. Stop taking from Ian, and the people watching need to stop supporting this person
YOU LOST ME AT ELECTRIC ENGINE. THEY SUCK.
Way to slow for sand
