I thought that might be Margaret Hamilton but I wasn’t sure until the second scene. That is absolutely the same voice that said, “I’ll get you my pretty, and your little dog too!”

i love how their judge just comes up and digs right into every cake with his bare hands
The dilemma could have been solved by cutting a slice from the first and fitting it into the piece missing in the second cake. Then smooth out the icing. But then we wouldn't have the benefit of this wonderful comedy.
That’s what I thought the first time I saw this episode was just combine the two cakes!

Aww This was the first episode I ever seen one Morning Years ago on MeTv , I didn't even know of the show but since then I've been hooked on it. I watch it from time to time so I don't watch every episode back to back now🤣 It really brightens the times in my life when I'm not feeling all that great. Thanks for uploading these episodes for all of us to enjoy.

I watched this show when I was 9-11 years old in Osaka, Japan. I wanted to be Patty, but I looked more like Kathy back then. Then, when I was 12, it was time for the class representative election at the class meeting. I couldn't think of anyone's name, and maybe I was desperate to change myself, so I wrote my name and "self-voted." At that time, I was very embarrassed because I was a child, but looking back on it, that brave act made me more energetic, cheerful, positive, and closer to my beloved Patty. I was influenced by her in some ways. Many years later, I moved to the United States at the age of 30. In that sense, the screen Patty I met as a child is my heroine. Thank you, Patty!!
I had no interest in the show as a kid. Now later, I like it

I love this show
This is a fun one. And not only do we get a famous wicked witch, but there is also actor George S. Irving (as Mr. Hubert Brown) ... an actor whose voice many will remember as the one and only Heat Miser; and also as the narrator for the 1960s Underdog cartoon show, and for the audio tapes of those beloved _Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark_ childrens books from the 1980s + 1990s.

The amazing thing about this episode is that 5 of the actors all died in the year 2016: Patty Duke (Patty Lane) died 4 days--March 29--after Shannon Bolin (Mrs. Davis)--March 25. William Schallert (Martin Lane) died May 8. Eddie Applegate (Richard Harrison) died October 17 and George Irving (Mr. Brown) died December 26.
Patty died far too early if you ask me.
What is amazing to me is that you find all the deaths amazing about this episode.
Frank Sintra, Jr. (1944-2016) died on March 16, 2016. He played "David Stone", on The Patty Duke Show (1963-1966), Every Girl Should Be Married, Season 2, episode 17, aired January 06, 1965.

Wow...I never noticed, when I was watching this as a child , how much of a narcissistic, conniving, deceitful little wench the Patty character was. It interests me b/c I read that one of the show's creators, Sidney Sheldon, had Patty Duke live in his house for a few weeks, so that he could observe her and figure out how to frame a character and premise around Patty for a new show. He said after living with her for a bit. he realized that there were two distinct sides to her personality (she was later diagnosed as bipolar).From those two sides he developed the two characters of Patty and Cathy. Patty Duke later said that Sheldon portrayed the two sides pretty accurately.
Remember the episode where she tried to take advantage of Kathy who was selected to teach the class And then got mad when Kathy wrote her up
I don't believe Sheldon ever called her narcissistic, devious, etc.

I always thought most millennials were spoiled by their parents and dumb as white brad but this teenage girl beat them all. No idea about baking a cake or separating an egg at that age???? My nephew knew how to bake a sponge cake, when he was ten or eleven some years back. I find this episode rather stupid.
