this show to me being born in 1964 was the only show i truly remember any good times with my mom before my younger brother was born a year and a half later and my mom became sick two years after that... It was the only time in my 58 years of life for a brief time i felt safe and secure.... thank Lucy and my mom for that brief time I'll never let go of I still love you no matter mom.

Lucille Ball was extremely funny. She was a great actress even when very young. Saw her in a Thriller Murder Mystery and it was fantastic. Wish I could remember the name of it.
So glad you're a younger fan of hers. She did some great movies in the 30's & 40's - I think 1 was called "DuBarry Was a Lady" in 1943. Her singing was dubbed but everything else was pure Lucy!

Believe me, our friends & family's game night has (since childhood) been very just-for-fun competitive & our 6-player, 2 sponge burritos game, standing around a card table is twenty times more fun than demonstrated on that uTube game site. They finally got their way after six seasons, but continued for another three years, along with Vivian Vance and William Frawley, in the hour-long specials, later known as the Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour. So nine years total. The specials ended when Lucy and Desi divorced. But Desi talked her into The Lucy Show after that.

Wow, Ed Parker! Ed Parker was responsible for getting Bruce Lee his first public exposure at the 1964 Long Beach Karate Tournament! Ed Parker filmed Bruce Lee's performance and when Robert Dozier was looking for an Asian to play Charlie Chan's son in a proposed TV show, his hair stylist, Jay Sebring, was at the tournament and told Dozier about Lee. Dozier contacted Parker, watched the film of Bruce Lee, and signed Bruce to an option for the series. The series never happened, but Dozier did put Lee in the "Green Hornet" as Kato. The rest is history...!
One thing I like about this episode's conflict is that both sides have a point, and in the end, the two mothers realize they're silly for fighting and unite against a common foe - except, of course, there was no foe in the end, but still. XD

Funny thing the Judo instructor and Lucy themselves did refer him as Ed. Surprised they didn't credit him as "Himself".
I got to see Ed Parker in person he was not feeling well but did a demonsration. He passed away not too long after.

Wow, Ed Parker! Ed Parker was responsible for getting Bruce Lee his first public exposure at the 1964 Long Beach Karate Tournament! Ed Parker filmed Bruce Lee's performance and when Robert Dozier was looking for an Asian to play Charlie Chan's son in a proposed TV show, his hair stylist, Jay Sebring, was at the tournament and told Dozier about Lee. Dozier contacted Parker, watched the film of Bruce Lee, and signed Bruce to an option for the series. The series never happened, but Dozier did put Lee in the "Green Hornet" as Kato. The rest is history...!

One thing I like about this episode's conflict is that both sides have a point, and in the end, the two mothers realize they're silly for fighting and unite against a common foe - except, of course, there was no foe in the end, but still. XD

I Love Lucy was not cancelled, Desi and Lucille just Decided to discontinue it. There was the Lucy Desi Comedy Hour, which had the rest of the cast, but it ended when Lucille and Desi divorced
