There are a TON of playlists! I focus mainly on Luke and Laura, and during a certain portion of the Cassadine return, Carly came on scene and I watched her character unfold during the Cassadine mess. It was crazy good stuff.
It's wonderful to be able to go back and remember just how amazing Jackie Zeman was. Her talent just jumps off the screen. I'm glad the show honored her loss in a way that was befitting of the actress and the character.
Thanks for this, I can't believe how good the show was compared to the last 10 years or so. Sarah Brown was brilliant as Carly, no actor has ever taken her place.

i always loved this gh storyline and i loved how close bobbie and carly became eventually. it kind of reminds me of the relationship i had with my father i was estranged from him for more then 30 years until 2011 when he found my brother sister and myself. we eventually became close up until he passed in 2021. rip Dad i love you.

Laura Wright then took over the role; has been playing Carly for almost 20 years now. She’s made Carly her own and she’s great at it. I started watching when Tamara was playing her, so of course she’s my favorite, but I can admit that the other actresses brought something special to the role. SJB will always be the best Carly to me. I have grown to like and support Carly the way she is now, but if SJB was still playing her I would have hard time liking her because would always associate her with the bad and horrible things Carly did, if that makes sense .

From the time of Lucy's and Damian's bet that he couldn't bed Bobbie, Tony catching Bobbie/Damian in the hospital stairwell leading into Bj's accident, BJ's death/heart going to Maxie, Tony/Bobbie separation, Carly showing up, Tony/Carly affair, leading up to this...followed by Carly shooting Tony in court, all the AJ/Jason/Robin, Sonny stuff, the show gained so much mileage out of overarching storylines. It was so great back then...nowadays, stories don't seem to be told with such foresight and characters are let go or killed off without contributing to good future storylines (Austin, Esme) after altering veteran character backstories (Jimmy Lee was killed, Heather and Ryan had a child? Really?) - there doesn't seem like much longterm payoff for storylines anymore.

I know everyone loves to blame Carly for everything that happened with Tony, but looking back...this was a grown-ass man who got manipulated by someone who was practically a child. The framing of this storyline is ridiculous. What Carly didd was wrong, yes, but Tony was responsible for his own choices. The same way Nicholas was responsible for his own choices when he decided to sleep with someone old enough to be his daughter (nevermind that was his son's girlfriend.).
Yes, with a modern lens it is obvious that Tony was the person who should’ve known better. He was an adult doctor and she was a young nursing student. The power dynamic of that alone is an issue these days.

I wish they would bring back Soap Net. You could really keep up with all of the soaps other than the CBS Soaps( they didn’t air them for whatever reason). You keep follow the major storylines just by the ads.

And SJB said sometime last year on Twitter that she has not done any paid acting work since speaking out against Moonves, Saban, and the network execs since 2018. Now that I think about it, maybe they can't get her back because she even called out ABC, though it was her favorite network to work for.

Also rumor is Arianne Zucker was fired at DOOL and they may be recasting Nicole. Both Nicole and Carly were young 90s villainesses. There isn't an actress that could play her better. But AZ is suing Days over the same kind of stuff SJB has staunchly advocated against with the showrunner supporting the former associate producer.

From the time of Lucy's and Damian's bet that he couldn't bed Bobbie, Tony catching Bobbie/Damian in the hospital stairwell leading into Bj's accident, BJ's death/heart going to Maxie, Tony/Bobbie separation, Carly showing up, Tony/Carly affair, leading up to this...followed by Carly shooting Tony in court, all the AJ/Jason/Robin, Sonny stuff, the show gained so much mileage out of overarching storylines. It was so great back then...nowadays, stories don't seem to be told with such foresight and characters are let go or killed off without contributing to good future storylines (Austin, Esme) after altering veteran character backstories (Jimmy Lee was killed, Heather and Ryan had a child? Really?) - there doesn't seem like much longterm payoff for storylines anymore.

This Carly is the original actress Sarah Joy Brown. She actually came back and played Claudia Zaccara years later and with darker hair. I’ll see if I can find those other clips somewhere.

I know everyone loves to blame Carly for everything that happened with Tony, but looking back...this was a grown-ass man who got manipulated by someone who was practically a child. The framing of this storyline is ridiculous. What Carly didd was wrong, yes, but Tony was responsible for his own choices. The same way Nicholas was responsible for his own choices when he decided to sleep with someone old enough to be his daughter (nevermind that was his son's girlfriend.).
Yes, with a modern lens it is obvious that Tony was the person who should’ve known better. He was an adult doctor and she was a young nursing student. The power dynamic of that alone is an issue these days.

@@melissaisloud7404 Thank you for your response. I was just thinking because all 3 were ABC Soaps and this is a similar Storyline/Theme of a Mother/Daughter Reveal. I know the Katherine Chancellor and Jill Abbot Storyline was the first to do this. Alexis and Sam came in the early- mid 2000s.
I think the Erica kane/Kendall Hart story line took place in 93 or 94. Your right all of these story lines are similar.
AMC - Young Sarah Michelle Gellar played young Kendall Hart and she did something similar like Carly.
@@T3XACAN0 Exactly I never watched AMC consistently but I was familiar with the storyline. Just the fact they recycle writers I didn’t know if there was a Backstory I wasn’t familiar with. I wish they would bring back Soap Net. You could really keep up with all of the soaps other than the CBS Soaps( they didn’t air them for whatever reason). You keep follow the major storylines just by the ads.
