As a gentile husband married to a jewish girl who is non practicing but would never want to be anything else, I found this quite fascinating, some of my wifes family are liberal and some orthodox, they have completely different ritual and rules but they are bound together regardless of that by the fact that they are all of the jewish worldwide family.
Seeing the disintergration of family tradition, the getting together at mealtimes and togetherness in our society it is good to see the community strength here. Although I am myself not keen on religion as such I appreciate the cohesion it brings which shines through in these videos.

Shalom! Proud Jewish woman here, but we didn’t keep kosher… not all Jewish families have two of everything in the kitchen… that’s a kosher home. I was raised very lax… we celebrated all the high holidays but I wore what I wanted and listened to the smiths and we had tvs. Judaism is a beautiful religion.. we just want everyone to be kind and treat everyone well.
Wonderful doc.. happy Hanukkah 🕎 to everyone which is coming up soon.

These rules are basically the Old Testament...all the things God told Moses. Jesus said he wasn't there to break the law of Moses but fulfil it. Jesus was sent to be the Sacrificial Lamb to the world. No longer requiring the burnt offerings and to provide a path to Heaven for the lost sheep of the world. Even in the story of Abraham and his son, this is said by Abraham; “God will provide for Himself a lamb for a burnt offering, my son.” Genesis 22:8

It’s actually quite common for orthodox women to have high level if not high power jobs. This is one of the biggest misconceptions out there. Nearly all my friends have masters degrees. Quite a few have phd’s , dds etc. more and more women run women owned businesses staffed by women. And are quite successful. In many orthodox families the woman is the primary breadwinner though the Jewish obligation of supporting the family is on the man. Jewish women have always been in the business world. It’s documented back for centuries

You mention Jesus in your comment, that Jesus' Last Supper was a Passover Seder; but it has always been my understanding that Jews do not, or seldom, really talk about Jesus or acknowledge Jesus .. so your comment surprised me when you talked about Him and the Last Supper. I am a Christian, yet I subscribe to many many RUclips channels of Jewish women. I love to learn about others religions and beliefs, and you are the first person who I've even heard acknowledge Jesus. Ironic really that eggs are like periods if you think about it, the casting of the undeveloped egg from the body. Yet women on periods are unclean but they can eat the equivalent of a chicken's period. Rules are all based on what people knew when the Holy book was written. Never understand because if God wrote all these different holy books and God knows everything, being the creator, why did he not say something? Why make up crazy rules to follow? Maybe people say God is testing the people, but God already knows how they are going to behave so why? Religion is very hard to reconcile, no matter what it is about.
