RIP AND TEAR UNTIL IT IS DONE
Was it just me or did you sound bored or at least tired at the start?
siempre me pregunte eso, y ¿quien verga le quito su traje cuando aparece en DOOM 2016? lo dejaron desnudo al pobre :'v
Does the doom slayer have a family or did they die
"In eternal the demons can just chop his arms off." Yeah but simply put...that man's muscles are hard enough to derail an entire train station
Look at those massive triceps they must be like 20 inches just on their own.
Gameplay mechanics ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
HAHAHAHAH
I think the preator suit wrap the slayer in a argent energy layer that protects him or he just durable af, he did beat the strongest demon to ever lived without the suit ( or was it retconned ? Idk )
No wonder they designed him so similar to Zidrunas Savickas, 4 time world's strongest man 8:20
It just works.
You're right, Doom Slayer.
No you cant't just ignore the lore.
Doom slayer: Ahahah praetor suit go brrrrrrrrrrrr.
Thank you slayer very nice
Lore, analysis, philosophy, thinking, quantum bullshit, etc trying to understand how or why it works.
Doom Slayer: It just works.

Everybody gangsta WHEN the green shotgun man show up
Nice profile picture.
Shrek has a shotgun?
@@SwagDragon76 cringe.
@@SwagDragon76 He meant the doom slayer because the praetor suit he wears is green. But yes Shrek does have a shotgun.
he don't need the praetor suit anyway, he literally defeated the Icon of Sin with his original marine suit
His sentinel armor, actually
And went through the armies of hell to do so in said armor.
I dont think his armor is indestructible i think since most of 2016 lore is told from demon perspective and since its told from a place of fear a lot of it was exaggerated it is not so much as the armor being indestructible it's more of they can't fight against doomguy, he overpowers them and they can barely touch him and this was before his upgrades.
@@jethrodark2372 he was op already from the 1st level of doom 1993 lol
@@shadowcross4813 yeah thats what im saying, im also saying the demons fear him so the legends they tell of him are going to be exaggerated to an extent, like vikings and or warriors that wore helmets with horns in history when they attacked a less advanced race/ civilization they called them demons.
Edit: or people in the 1300+ were called witches and monsters for having knowledge they didn't, legends are based on some facts but sometimes woefully exaggerated.
You're missing a crucial piece of info tho, in an interview with Hugo Martin (I can't find the link rn I apologize) he explains that the reason the Praetor suit has human symbols in 2016, is because the Slayer was modding it during the events building up to 2016. We even see this throughout the games where he pulls tech off the Elite Guard for his own suit. He probably stripped down his older suit, and took all the crucial parts needed for his current and more advanced armor. What I'm saying is that his current armor is probably a combination of the work of the Wretch, Sentinel mods, and the Slayer's own craftsmanship
He modded it while he was locked up in a coffin?
@@GallowayJesse No, it was while he was still battling Hell after meeting the Wretch. Then he got crushed by the temple, and so on so forth
People also tend to forget that he was an engineer during his days as a normal marine. It’s not outside the realm of possibility for him to use those skills on improving his arsenal.
I always thought that it is the same armor he wore in doom 1 but upgraded to the point where it is unrecognizable and that the English symbols are the only thing that remain from the original
@@Shuttergun1 Nope, the human symbols are from the parts that weren't worked on by the wretch and added on after the Slayer Obtained it
"I'm too young to die" is the canon difficulty if we go by the lore lol
With all of the cheats on
@@Plamkton came here to say this
Always though that
Ultra Nightmare is, but he gets through it easier than we would playing ITYTD
But it has less demons
My guess is that some how all that energy just leaks into anything he wears. He sucks up energy like a sponge and stores it like a capacitor.
I thought that was confirmed in the 2016 codex? I swear there's something in there that explains why he can claim health pickups from demons, because the armour leeches the health from those who die at the hands of its wearer or something. Like, that was meant to be the supposed enchantment that was bestowed upon him - that he can absorb energy from demons to sustain himself
@@wanchorman472 I think it has to do with the Slayer absorbing their souls and healing with that. He uses the capacitors in his hands when he crushes the argent containers to absorb the argent energy
I bet they'll just explain it away with "oh hey, this little baulble he puts in the suit contains the Wrech's magic, so he just needs to install it in whatever he's wearing to enchant it.
I don't know man, the Slayer's armor seems pretty permeable to me. Didn't prevent a reverent from ripping my arms and slapping me around like a little clown boy.
@Time For T. Doom2016 had me thinking that every demon he kills makes him stronger.
@@zombiedemon1762 I’m pretty sure that’s in the lore, that’s how they explain glory kills healing
Doom Slayer: Trust me Im an engineer, with epic skills and epic gear.
Trust me im an engineer, what the fucc did just happened here.
I am an Engineer buddy, I solve problems. Not problems like "What is beauty ?" Because that will fall under your conundrum of philosophy. *I solve practical problems.*
The Slayer Testment says: "...The wretch adorned the Doom Slayer in a mighty armor, wrought in the forges of Hell, impenetrable and unyielding. With sword and shield of adamantine strength"
King Novik, in the end of Doom Eternal, also said: " ...And you will their savior, your strength will be their shield and your will... their sword. You will remain... unbroken... for your fight... is eternal."
So, the armor that he and received, which was impenetrable was actually his strength, that is, the Slayer Testament actually mentions the moment when Seraphim gave him strength.
Bernardo Souza
More metaphorical than literal
Targitaus Rithux but it works! The seraphim could been seen as the wretch by the demons
He also mentions something about your strength will match your will so basically the tougher the enemy the stronger doom guy gets
@@mrmateusz5188 he is still unknown. It is clearly said the wretch was a demon ho
If his battle is "through time", perhaps we haven't seen the armor that is described in the slayer's testament .
That is a good point.
Weren't the testaments written by demons as a warning to never open the sarcophagus the slayer exited from in doom 2016 though
@Jonathan Pilcher. Thats the way i remember it.
It's a description from the demon themself, who knows if the armor is actually vulnerable, althought UAC still can't quite scratch it tho, so it's confirmed to be nigh indestructible anyway. That makes "I'm too young to die" to be close to canon difficulty lol, on that difficulty the suit can tank at least 5 marauder argent axe blast lmao.
He is literally flexing on the demons
Imagine if in the next doom game coming in five years, the doom 2016 prator suit will be worked on by us. We reworking the suit to be more powerful plus more better than it was in doom 2016.

*"-the one who gave the praetor suit the DOOM Slayer"*
Seems accurate
Had to read it twice, but yeah.
The Praetor suit wears the DOOMSlayer for protection.
His suit from Eternal is probably just a modified version of the 2016 praetor suit because I remember Hugo talking about how Doom guy is a tinkerer at a gameplay event when talking about his personality
Omg that’s adorable lol
he's an animal loving, skateboarding, toy collecting, video game playing, book reading, tech tinkering adorable little man with arm muscles the size of his head
Praetor suit is hanging in his room, in pieces, back at the fortress.
@@armr6937 and a upgraded version of it somewhere else in the fortress (i don't care what you say, costumes are canon in my opinion so long as it's just a different armor)
I’d say his suit is covered in Argent energy, the actual suit isn’t used to protect him, I mean his suit needs to run VEGA and the Samuel, as well as his own pocket of space where he stores his guns, also withstand huge jumps, process Hell energy like whatever Berserk is, Onslaught, the healing one, and Overdrive, Tether, and Blood Punch energy, maybe with the add-on of Blood Punch energy, he needed to take out the elbow pieces and add them to the fists where the Blood Punch energy is stored, oh, as well as Rune energy and Praetor Suit tokens, and Sentinel Crystals
Well via Quake Champions there was info given this suit is kinda to protect wearer, bc it can generate oxygen, compensate fall from great heights, smooth the hit into the chest, etc. Also it can generate ammo i guess if it can generate oxygen bc it's still a chemestry. Plus the suit was made in mind with Syphone Granedes to heal Slayer again, just like the life-leech he have from enemies killed (so either the Slayer is not invinsible just very durable bc he wound not need smth to heal otherwise, or he got suit before blessing). Quote "- This armor has carried the Doom Slayer through untold horrors. Not even the fires of Hell can stop his advance. Attachments: 1) Deep Space Rebreather: Automatically regulates the air mixture for high and low-pressure environments. 2) High Impact Chest: Snaps into place on the chest to protect the wearer from high impacts. 3) Performance: Created for the Praetor Suit to maneuver effortlessly while in the air or in a vacuum. 4) Stabilizers: Helps the wearer to adjust movement while in the air. 5) Delta Jump-Boots: This early version of the Delta V Jump-Boots were not nearly as compact as the finished model, but the extra mass was still used to adjust movement in the air."
Виталий Пиньковський yeah but most of those aren’t actually regarding the suits durability. They protect him from many things other then direct hits say from Demons or Maykrs.
I love seals
Heres my idea if how the timeline went down:
If you're familiar with old DOOM lore you know that Doomguy was also a marine engineer. So my idea is after he was ejected onto sentinel prime by the sister summoner he adorned the new sentinel armor and after some time reverse engineered it. Possibly creating a hybrid sentinel marine armor. After getting stuck in hell is when he met the wretch and the wretch augmented his armor in some way. Now that he has his own floating fucking fortress he probably just tinkers with his armor like Tony Stark.
Honestly its be a helluva lot easier to figure this out of ID would give us a more clear idea on the linear events of 2016 and eternal. As of right now we don't know when the slayer killed the titan, when he got stranded in hell from sentinel prime in the first place, or what the fuck happened in between the 2 games. We just come back, samuel Hayden has basically set up a fuckin spartan program to protect the planet, doomguy has new armor and a FUCKING FLYING CASTLE, and theres no explanation of where sam sent him or what the fuck hes been doing.
since when doom guy was a marine engineer? i cant find anything about it except the doom 3 roe (dlc) protaginist who was a combat engineer
@@s0000g22 there's also a possibility of vega helping him after he took vega with him.
@@aymodaslacker8852 yeah but thats not really my point. he claimed that doomguy is an engineer but i cant find anything that says he is an engineer
Yeah i call bullshit, there's no piece of lore or info that has ever made that claim.
There's codex's on the history of the sentinels, and killing the titan and getting trapped in hell both happened before doom 2016. He killed the titan after going through the augmentation and was basically when he went from guy to slayer, and got trapped in hell once the night sentinels decided to revolt against the maykrs but were ratted out and ambushed. Slayer went on a rampage through hell until they eventually set a trap that kept him in the coffin till 2016.
remember the good old days when we thought samuel hayden was the devil because S.hayden sounds like satan?
No. I didn't think those were good old days, I thought people were just jumping to conclusions because of that.
@@Ragingknight12 Well, Satan is a Fallen Angel, and now The Seraphim, Samuel Hayden, Mayker Angel, has reason to betray the Father, as the Father still sided with the Slayer after he thrashed his ass in The Ancient Gods DLC.
considering the DLCs and the demonic crucible prophecy that is still a possibility

“Story in a game is like story in a porn movie. It's expected to be there, but its not that important" - John Carmack
So the real answer is that it’s cool
Now that is insulting in a way since some games have nice stories.
@TheUltimateGamer245 only for the old games in the doom series. 2016 and eternal tuned up the lore
@TheUltimateGamer245 doom has nice lore, but it isn't story driven, and that's why inconsistencies like these are ok
That was before half life, Carmack ate his own words and deepen the story in Doom 3. Althought most people didn't quite like it back then.
@@GamingMafia_id thats because bethesda bought them and they wanted to bring doom to a newer generation who were more story focused you can kinda thank halo for that although bungie in halos high day followed the quote like a bible meaning some things dont need to be explained they just need to look cool and work

ikr so stupid
John Carmack once wrote on the topic of the very first Doom's plot:
"Story in a game is like a story in a porn movie. It's expected to be there, but it's not that important."
I always felt like the betrayer helped make his armor. The og praetor suit is clearly more of human/sentinel design, while the new praetor suit is definitely maykr design so samur must have helped with that.
I thought the lore implied that the Praetor Suit wasn't enchanted, but augmented and strengthened using Hell techniques and magic in a technical way, likely creating an adamantine alloy from Sentinel metals and Hell materials. I just assumed that while Doom Guy personally oversaw it's creation on Sentinel Prime, it was improved and finalized in Hell which led to the 2016 model. When the Slayer realized that Hayden was able to interface and manipulate his armor remotely, the Slayer stripped it down for parts and rebuilt a new suit using the equipment on the Fortress of Doom while keeping the original protective qualities of the first Praetor Suit. If anything, the newer version looks different but similar because the Slayer used old parts from the first one while putting his own personal touches on the design, ensuring that it couldn't be hacked like before. That's what I thought, anyway.
Sound in the background: Deacons of the Deep from Dark Souls 3
Resident Evil 2/3
I knew it sounded like dark souls
*The nostalgia flows through me and I love it*
Yeah Midnight uses Dark Souls bgm all the time. Great taste
Here's an interesting option
all of the above!!
First the betrayer gives the Slayer a night sentinel praetor suit.
Second over various battles the Doom Slayer rebuilds and repairs the praetor suit.
And finally the seraphim or some powerful demon enchants the armor.
the Doom Slayer could have reverse engineer the enchant on his armor.
And if he has a fraction or a good part of the power of the father then be highly likely that a simple brute Force enchantment would be extremely powerful!
"Who would win, the Doom Slayer or an Astartes?"
OGs know that depends 100% on which Codex you're reading it in. If it's a Marine codex, Astartes is winning, because they gotta sell you more overpriced plastic.
What blasphemy is this? Doom guy would win every time
@@manperor_32b8 Astartes winning is blasphemy, but DoomGuy winning is Heresy. Catch-22 situation, that.
But the universal law of Games Workshop is, the faction whose rulebook you're reading, their units are the pinnacle of the type of warfare they undertake. Guard codex? Guard tanks are unstoppable rolling bunkers. Space-elf codex? Guard tanks are tissue boxes that shoot wet farts at the enemy. So if DoomGuy gets written into an Astartes codex, he'll be barely able to walk, and probably a pacifist, and by the way BUY MORE SPACE MARINES
@@petercolson2990 fir real though I’m 99 percent sure doom guy could kill pretty much any astartes that not boosted to the extremes by the emperor or one of the chaos god. Simply for the fact of the amount of feats he can boast.

In my opinion, I believe the old Prater suit is still in the workshop because he’s taking parts of the old Praeter suit and putting it into the new Praeter suit to fit his new body type and able to add more tools for his slaughter. (Doom blade and equip. Launch)
Doom 2016: "Sleeves"
Doom Eternal: "No sleeves"
*seems legit*
Doomguy probably had problems with the summer heat so he took the sleeves off for cooling
The Praetor Suit is Da’at Yichud tech. It’s god technology like in Wolfenstein II. Like father like son, like grandson. Forever eternal.
BTW some things between em is pretty similar. I thought of the same stuff. After all of the ID games share one universe, and demons tried to seduce nazi with their "gifts" (final boss of the Youngblood say crap about Ascention and etc), while Elders from Quake did the same with others (Wolfenstain The Deep have Ctalha which is kinda female Cthulhu). I won't go on full explanation of how much details those 3 share but yeah, i am with you on that theory. Even old games confirmed to be in one universe
@@Eric_Nomad_Hixtone Doom '93 throughout Doom Eternal share the same universe with the ORIGINAL Wolfenstein, not the reboot/remake one.
@@GamingMafia_id rebooted as well actually. Nazi's guns said to be in the lore of the Wolf based on interdimensional red energy, in youngblood there is dude who want to make Paradise on Eath which cannot be stopped, and in the ending BJ saw multiverse and the place where there was no war lost which is original games, and via Quake Champions all games are connected as well bc Elders collected the best warriors from multiverse in their Dreamland (BJ during coma, Slayer while he slept in his tomb, guy from Quake 2 who spyed on Bitterman, etc). Plus Cthulhu-like Elder had influence at the comics Wolfenstain The Deep. So new lore is related as well.
@Archvile from DooM champs is still a game under ids wing and Bethesda, and i said not future but universes, u r mistaken. *To anyone reading this, this is my own observation/opinion:*
I don't completely understand what's going on with Doom's lore overall now. I say this because Doom used to be Christian with the upside down crosses from Hell and the Bible verse references, now it's like agnostic. The multiple gods and all, it throws Christianity right out the window for Doom. I think Doom's new lore is very interesting, I'm not denying that. My point is that it's a very drastic and kind of odd change to a series that's so heavily focused around Christianity specifically and killing Hell's demons.
P.S. No, I'm not saying you can't play or enjoy Doom if you're not a Christian.
well it was never really supposed to be anything religion related, at this point it has been thrown out the window completely
The doom guy was catholic
Sort of, however I think with the release of ancient gods and the lore, its tying back into christianity as one could say the primavols(likely butchered the names of the protectors of the respective realms) could resemble christ the dark lord, the devil, the father as biblical God. While it doesn't perfectly match with christianity its certain based off of it.
This is just awesome,I love all your work now that I got more deep into the DooM Lore. Keep it up! Much Love from Romania.
I always assumed that The Wretch was an archvile who had a bit more common sense than other demons and decided to help Doomguy in an attempt to save his own ass.
I like that
The praetor suit has a glowing dot on the chest, it is on when Doomslayer wears it and off when he doesn't. Maybe it's an item within the suit that power it and has been enchanted so it can be easely moved.
Even so I think that it may be just a part of the armor that is enchanted... hope that the DLCs give us more infos/lore. Because there is a lot of inconsistencies when you compare DOOM 2016 and Eternal.
2016 suit cause hellucination that makes him see demon more scary and he is working on it to fix the problem but he just chose to build a new one using the sentinal design that explains using discs for upgrades and that is why

Way i see it, Wrtech made the 2016 armor, and from there, Doomslayer was able to reverse-engineer the suit and learn how to make his own versions of it, allowing him to create new armors and upgrades with the same properties.
There is a horde mod for doom eternal released!

Why would the slayer limit his own power tho?
@@peasant5063 so he won't destroy the universe prematurely. In the opening of 2016 we can see how he effortlessly can smash the skull of a zombie with one hit, without any additional damage. This behavior is not seen when he's in a costume, EXCEPT when Berserker bonus is picked up.
same reason why we can't melee with Doom Blade lol. He's clearly just messing around with the demons.

I just did the math, the fall of Argent D'Nur probably happened almost 80 years ago considering Hayden is chronologically stated to be 120+. And this is assuming the clone body was 40 years of age. He was there with the slayer before the fall and vanished after the divinity machine. Dunno if this is millions of years but at least a century for sure.
It's times like these when I feel like I can give a good theory on what is happening, but don't feel like it.
Against a regular astartes? Doomguy wins. Against a Primarch? Sorry, unless the lore grants him power even further beyond, those living demigods will psycho blast Doomguy out of existence.
Doom 3 establishes that when you're in Hell, you get something scientists in that game called the "Hercules complex", a boost in longevity and stamina. That's what allows warriors fighting there to last for eons so long as they don't get murdered. I mean, it makes sense. If someone is going to be tortured for eternity, they've got to survive for an eternity first.
Here's my interpretation. Doomguy's original armor was the best Earth's military had at the time. It didn't cover his whole body, but it was "composed of a titanium derivative" and drastically reduced damage taken, until the ab section got torn away. Combined with the advanced tech of his helmet and it's HUD, that armor could update the helmet's on-board computer constantly displaying his ammunition count, his state of health, the state of the armor itself, and when requested a full real-time map of his location. (Also, for some reason, a picture of his own face). Advanced stuff and in computer game history a very early example of the kind of future armor your standard space marine gets to wear, though it doesn't look all that different from modern military armor.
He kept this stuff right up until he met the sentinels. Their own tech wasn't exactly as advanced as Earth's in many respects, but more advanced in others. Whoever made the Praetor suit (praetor being essentially a latin word meaning commander of an army), it was clearly made FROM Doomguy's old armor using it as a base, since it's covered in military markings from Earth. I personally do think it was the betrayer. He combined the best of both world's tech into one incredibly powerful but not indestructible suit of armor. At the same time, he taught Doomguy enough about the tech that he could repair or upgrade it going forward.
UAC scientists discovered it ages later, but weren't able to scrape off a sample of the armor with any of their most powerful tools. I don't think we're meant to take that it was "indestructible" from that, just that they couldn't figure out a way to just chip the suit and they certainly didn't want to utterly destroy the thing. The very fact that Doomguy can in fact die makes it pretty clear neither he nor his suit are indestructible.
Whatever it was that happened after Doom 4, Doomguy later went on to upgrade his own suit with the help of a super intelligent AI he saved by the name of VEGA. It seems he opted to reduce the weight of the Praetor suit a bit this time around, and so certain parts are thinner especially around the joints. He's pretty tough and the part around his head still seems pretty tightly sealed, so the little exposed parts wouldn't be enough to kill him in vacuum. The real question? What's going on with that GIANT mech in his fortress? Now THAT thing is something I want to see in action, and not just in a cut scene. I want to press the button! Not you press the button, I press the button!
I don't think he's working on the Doom 2016 Praetor suit, I think he's taking its parts for the new Praetor suit.
Really appreciate your videos. Love the lore content.
Would also just like to say, if that's you playing in the background videos... holy balls my man. Crazy aim and skill. ^5
My Theory is that the Retch made Doomguy the Praetor suit, but the first Praetor suit might have looked more like Sentinel armor at first. But after 1000s of Years in Hell, Doomguy upgraded the Praetor suit himself while he was trapped in Hell. That could be why the Praetor suit looks a lot like his classic marine suit. Doomguy changed it and upgraded it to look more like his first suit, probably for comfortability. Because there is no way the Retch could have known what his classic marine suit would have looked like. That could also explain why he could upgrade his Praetor suit in Doom Eternal so easily, especially without using all the parts of the suit. But that's just a Theory. A game theory, Thanks for reading...
Also, the bald guy must've helped him modding the praetor suit as he exiled himself to hell and was there ever since
And if this wretch can make a sentinel armor then chances are that he was a part of Argent D’nur. He was probably with the king and the sentinels. The question then comes that why he was called a demon? Also I am confused between the sentinel armor because we see one armor which is worn by sentinels when we see their souls and then there is the marauder’s armor and even Doomslayer has that kind of armor and the praetor suit also has some common elements to the marauder armor
maybe its just that any armor that the DOOM Slayer himself considers to be his "current" armor is enchanted to have these special properties due to the effects of the divinity machine? this might also explain how he can just take pieces of armor from the ground or from enemies themselves (using the flame belch) and add it to his own. perhaps it can only be damaged via special types of damage sources, but otherwise merely survives all attacks without stopping the energy of the attacks, thus still allowing the DOOM Slayer to receive damage via shock waves traveling through the suit and into his body, sudden extreme G-forces from being knocked around by explosions, extreme heat/cold etc.
the fact you can see his face in eternal makes him far less menacing then just a black visor staring back.
lore strongliy implies that the Wretch and Betreyer are two diferent personas.
slayers testaments dosnet mention that sentinels made doomslayers armor but the Wretch who shal not be named implaying that it was a demon of hell who did it
I wonder if that demon was afraid of Doomguy and made it for him to gain favor or if the demon actually wanted to help Doomguy
@@theunholyadventurer2376 or might be said The Wretch was against dark lords for one reason or another and saw doomguy as means to end who knows
Preator suit: You cannot deconstruct me slayer. For i am indestructable
Doomslayer: 🗿
science: you can't do that
doom guy: how bout I do it anyway
My theory is that when the sentinels found doomguy in sentinel prime and the priests made him fight the night sentinels to show his strength the seraphim secretly told doomguy to follow him so that he could bless him turning him into the doom slayer the reason I say secretly is because if you play the sentinel prime level in doom eternal the doom slayer has a flashback of the seraphim saying "let's move quickly there are those to seek to stop this" this tells me that the priests didn't know that the slayer was blessed and just became strong naturally and when he fought the demons the priests thought his strength was increadable and gave him the knight sentinel armor as a reward and after he fought the demons even more the wrech gave him the 2016 armor because midnight said no matter how advanced sentinel technology is its still no mach for hell's army so when the wrech gave him the 2016 armor the demons were in big trouble at that point and hell pretty much said "ok this man is unstoppable but we can still contain him" so thats why in 2016 his armor is already in the kript but the reason the doom slayer is naked at the beginning of 2016 is because the UAC wanted to test the armors strength and thats why the armor is separated from the doom slayer and in doom eternal the slayer used the 2016 armor as parts to create the armor he wears in doom eternal.

I think I have an idea on who the wretch is. Think back to the invisible pinkie demon, it says that they’re were demons that defected from hell and took forbidden scrolls. These demons used these scrolls to summon horrors that the other demons deemed unworthy of summoning, such as the invisible pinkie. When they were caught by the supreme lords of hell, the were given the most horrific punishment hell had to offer. Maybe some of them or one of them escaped and went into hiding. Maybe this demon learned on enchantment in one of the scrolls. Maybe this demon was the one that made the dooms slayers armore.
My brain is just shattered in pieces with this

I'm gonna stop you right there, we all know the answer.
one angry boi ?
so the way i understood the lore is that the wretch is not a demon but rather either the valen or samur/the seraphim, the suit itself is indestructible by conventional means, as in man made non magical attacks (like explosions, bullets, and acid), the suit was given to him by the night sentinels when doomguy had finished his training and was latter enchanted by the wretch to be more resilient when compared to the armor the sentinels used, the preator suit from 2016 was canibalised for parts to be improved upon by doomguy and to possibly remove the teather system samuel forcibly installed into it.
also sorry if i spelled anything wrong.
Question.
In Doom 1 after e1 doom guy gets teleported to hell, beaten up and gets to the Sentinel lands, joins em, becomes a god, betrayer happens, civil war, khan is evil... Then he gets to Deimos from there to hell, Doom 2 happens, Doom 64 happens, doomguy gets cought, takes a rest for a few centuries and then wakes up another dimension, closes the well, gets tethered away (most likely to Arena Eternal [Quake 3 and Champions], as indicated by his default armour), then he gets out, finds a space castle, Doom eternal happens. Where in this is Doom 3? And it probably is canon couse' 2016's similiar architecture and both alpha and delta labs being a part of the Mars Core level.
I can see that certain parts of the praetor suit are enchanted, like a power source, and that is what doom slayer moves to his other armor sets to transfer the enchantment
The doom slayers suit in Eternal showcases is MASSIVE BICEPS.
Legendary
The most significant piece of Praetor Suit it the chest piece in my opinion. The marauders and the Betrayer have similar red button on it. That thing interacts somehow with the Sentinel's technology as we see in Eternal when Doom Slayer obtains the celestial locator. I think that the suite might been made in Sentinels world but in a fashion of the original suit Doom Slayer was found either to further point out that the Slayer was an outsider or by his request. Also the 2016 suit is dismantlled that could mean some components were used to make Eternal version. Maybe the enchanting wasn't a pure magic but some component hidden in the suit's systems like crucible that would explain why it was compatible with argent energy.
His armor is ancient and mysterious. We don’t know a much about
I think it makes the most sense that the Wretch was hell's name for the Seraphim and the Divinity rite is the source of the praetor suit's enchantment.
My theory is that the armor from 2016 is some kind of interface suit for one of those mechs we see in the fortress of doom. Where as the new one is strictly for boots on the ground combat.
Here’s my theory, since the doom slayer has a work shop where he can refurbish, create and destroy weaponry and gear, I would believe he transferred the power source of his old praetor suit into the new one with some extra modifications.
I think he was kinda forced to retire his 2016 preator suit and threw another one together with parts laying around the fortress and the help of Vega. I think he tore the 2016 one down trying to figure out how to disable the tether function Samuel Hayden uploaded in it. (You can see it disassembled in his room)
it’s maybe just a single piece of the suit that’s enchanted, so the slayer able to take the enchanted piece out and integrate it into the new suit.
kinda like the BFG-10000. there’s all that stuff around it that helps, but the base part still works separately
It can be a bit confusing, Doom Eternal's lore is not a seamless transition from Doom2016. There are inconsistencies and then the Spectre's origin from 2016 was even retconned.
Based on the info we have, I am pretty sure:
-The Seraphim is "the wretch who shall not be named" from the 2016 codex, he is even called "The Deceiver, Samuel Hayden" in Eternal.
This would make sense because Hell and Urdak had made a pact and Hayden being of the Makyrs, Hell would assume that his actions are in line with this pact. So clearly they felt deceived by his betrayal.
-In Doom2016 they wanted an enchanted armor but after more thought, this was probably scrapped in Eternal for the Slayer ritual. It is not the armor that is enchanted, it is the Slayer himself that is enchanted.
Any armor he wears is just customized Sentinel armor, where the green parts are all that same metal/mineral/material from the Sentinel world.
I actually really love Jack Cooper's suit from Titanfall 2, the red and grey, and the helmet too
The seraphim you see in Eternal is the wretch. He betrayed the Mayker's plans by empowering and armoring up the doom slayer. The seraphim/ wretch after being exiled, became Dr. Hayden.
I have a feeling we will meet the wretch for a fresh suit of armor.
Nice Deacons of the Deep background music brother
I think that he used parts of the 2016 armor on the eternal armor and as a result the eternal armor as a whole has the enchantments of the 2016 armor. That would explain why it’s in pieces.
The only real reason the doomslayer got new armor, was because he needed more room for his biceps.
