I have a question, your voice is very clear why the word clear doesn't have e.d. at the end. ? And can you give me an example sentence of clear that has e.d. at the end. Not in past tense but in this structure as well. Thanks.
Hello! The word 'clear' in the sentence 'your voice is very clear' is an adjective, so we never put 'ed' at the end of the word. If you use the verb 'clear,' as in 'please clear the table' then you put 'ed' if you use it in the past tense - 'I cleared the table.' I hope that helps :)
@@LearnEnglishwithGrace24 it really helps. My follow up question, your example 'please clear the table ' why clear is in base form? Why not 'please clearing the table? Thanks
What is the difference between ordinary adjective and passive voice
Passive voice present simple 'the window is opened every day
Ordinary adjective 'the window is open'.
Another question, Our seats are booked is participle adjective but can this example be called present simple passive voice as well? Thanks
Is adjective and passive the same e.g. he was driven. Is this adjective or passive? Thanks
I have another question, "dandruff - free " what kind of word is this? Is dandruff an adjective that describing the word free? Thanks
'Dandruff-free' is a compound adjective - 'dandruff' is a noun and 'free' is an adjective.
Do you have a lesson about compound adjective? Because I'm kinda confused I thought adjective comes before a noun because it describes the noun but in the word dandruff-free the noun comes first?
What does hypen use for in the dandruff - free ? Thanks
How about worry-free, long-lasting, must- have products, English- learners, five-star hotel are they all compound adjective as well?
I visited some place it's right or wrong?
'I visited some places' or 'I visited a place'
Thank you so much
