- Happy May the 4th! I am excited and honored to present a new trailer for this mod. The developers have invested 4+ years into the mod so far, and the passion for this project is outstanding. The experience this mod provides Star Wars fans is unmatched! The mod is a 40gb total conversion mod for the PC game SQUAD on Steam! If you're a Star Wars fan I would highly recommend trying it out!

Star Wars fans need to consider themselves lucky to have a mod like Galactic Contention around. A free mod that gets active and large content drops. A free mod made by passionate developers. Galactic Contention is the only multi-player Star Wars project that gets activevely updated, and it's not even made by devs who get paid to do so. GC is a masterclass that has been created for free, by devs making zero money, and full of avid Star Wars fans. Great trailer Bullwon.

@@manwithballsonarm6775 It's a different subgenre of FPS. This is focused on teamwork and communication; while the Battlefront series is a casual, sometimes arcade heavy, tps/fps. I don't think they are extremely comparable but I love them both. They offer different experiences
I don't think they could have chosen a better person to make the trailer. Some of these shots look like cutscenes from an official game, especially at 0:24

1. What editing software do you use
2. How long did it take you editing (from collecting the recorded clips, all the way to pressing the button to begin rendering the finished video) this video, and the previous longer one?
This is the kind of editing style I'd like to get decent at and i'm trying to get an idea of what i should do
I still use Sony Vegas Pro 13 that I've had forever. The clips range from as early as two days ago, to two months ago. And the bulk of this trailer was editing within the last week!

You too T! I miss the DayZ days! If you like Star Wars, definitely give it a try!
Unfortunately, servers are either always full with 15 player queues or nearly empty. I have only managed to get into a full lobby once with this mod and always then opted to join the lesser packed server with 30 or so people on but the gameplay just feels meh on the smaller server. Its a shame because I know theres 15+ queueing to get into a full server and they would be a big help in filling up the other empty lobbies to enhance gameplay but nope.
10 to 15 players queue goes away fast, very rarely more than 20minutes
From european time servers is in the week up with enough players around 5-6pm and down at 5am/6am , you can google "squad servers stats" and find the population graph in detail, so you can find out when to hop in for your taste ! You can also see thats its very regular and lively
In the weekend its similar but there's 2 to 3 servers full
It gets fun and fill up around 50 to 60 players, but its easy to find if you know when to try and join

There is none because we don't plan as it as of right now
