Blighted Lord Tip - Level up Mad Knight Ulv, and use his charge explosion near the Blighted Lords mouth/chest. You will deal massive dmg to the fish as they spawn, and it deaos damage to the boss simultaneously. Use your Umbral Knights long reaching sword attacks to finish off any fish who escape Ulv's explosion. Since you are forced to perform Ulv's charge attack while airborne it serves a dual purpose. It helps you to avoid the Lords ground tremors. Just dodge her explosions, and repeat until dead. Works on the secret second phase too.
I fully respect the list, though I have a bit more feelings towards Blighted lord so I would switch BL and Hoenir, and I would also probably have Miriel a bit lower, but I honestly feel like that I have to play Ender Lilies a second time to properly rank the rest of the bosses (but music-wise it's a no-contest for 1st place, Accolade Julius is just the best)
I do think that BL has better atmosphere and story significance than the likes of hoenir and juluis' theme is definitely the best and I would recommend playing this game on a higher difficulty again a real masterpiece this one
Dang, 7th place... Eleine honestly felt like such a great boss to me. 🙏 a flying boss during a part of the game where your aireal attack options are limited really makes the player take their patience to the next level. The projectile pattern were fun to learn about and her teleporting meant cheesing her was quite difficult. I will admit Silva was much harder but Eleine might be my favorite highkey 😌
I actually started enjoying her a lot more as I got better at fighting her but I did enjoy the others more personally but still a really interesting opinion
Something clicked within me when I fought Silva. Only took 3 tries for me to beat her, her second monster phase is pretty easy to dodge. And Im usually pretty bad at boss fight
This is easily my favorite Ender Lillies video. I cracked up so many times. I just finished the game today and was a little disappointed by how easy it was. Even the true form. Could you do one ranking difficulty? I stand by that I died to Julius more than any other boss. He was brutal! Edit: hang on...hang on...did you say verboten domain is your favorite area!? Who hurt you?😂 that's the only area I didn't 100% because eff the enemies and that gas. Also, those big blob things that slap the ground and shoot out spikes. You just like punishment don't you?😂😂😂
Glad you enjoyed it. Ill say a difficulty ranking would be less interesting because beyond ulv my personal hardest boss and guardian silva every other boss felt to be on the same level in terms of difficulty and yeah I guess the reason why I loved verboten domain so much might be because it reminded me of bloodborne and silent hill and I loved the soundtrack. If you enjoyed the vid you should try watching some of my newer ones if you are an anime fan as I have improved by a whoolee lot or even some of the other boss rankings
@completelyaccurate actually, now that you mention it, that makes a lot of sense. Thinking back, I can't say I really struggled with any boss besides Julius or Elaine. So you're right. It would be redundant. Oh I see! Funnily enough, I watched about 10 minutes of a Blasphemous gameplay last night and it looks similar to Ender Lillies to me. Is it similar? I thought about going there next because once I find a game I like, I play it constantly and it seems like it goes by too fast and I saw Blasphemous has multiple games. Yeah I subscribed and I'll check out some of your other stuff!☺️
oh man if hollow knight made me appreciate 2d side scroller metroidvanias then blashemous 2 made me fall in love with them I'd personally reccomend both blashemous games especially blashemous 2 its like ender lilies in a lot of ways but the combat platforming and bosses are leagues better so yes an easy recommendation from my side
@completelyaccurate Hollow Knight is what got me into Metroidvanias! It was my first and I love it. I still play it sometimes just because. I went from HK to both Ori games (which I love so much), then I went to Rayman Legends which was pretty good and I finished it...but to me, it just didn't have the...replayability that HK, Ori, and Ender Lillies has. I'm already on my second playthrough of EL today. I'm doing it this time on my own with no help. The first time I played if I got stuck I would look at what to do next but this time I'm not getting any hints and it's not going well lmao but I'm still moving. So do I need to play the Blasphemous games in order? Like are there connections that won't make sense in the second if I don't play the first one first?
Honestly if you care about lore of these games more then definetaly playing 1 will be better but if you care about basically everything else then 2 pretty much blows 1 out of the water but I will still recommend playing 1 before 2 and if you love both of them the last faith is pretty much blashemous in a different setting and a new game upcoming dragon is dead also looks very similiar so yeah if you enjoy blashemous 1 then theres a boat load of fun that remains for you
Personal list : Number 9 Hoenir : Not my kind of fight, the boss that keep running away, while throwing dozens of adds at you, yeah not my favorite kind of boss at all. A shame tough cause the atmosphere is amazing (the OST goddamn), Hoenir has a really cool design and a good lore (and is also a good spirit that is criminally underrated). Number 8 Blight Lord : Huge let down for a Final Boss, thematically it's perfect, if we were ranking this bosses on storytelling this would probably be number 1, the way you can see Fretia is fighting her own blight trying to stop it from hurt Lily, but at the same time is overwhelm by Blight (mobs that get eject out of her body seemingly againt her will), and her crying in the second phase, ripping off all of her defense, visually begging Lily to end her suffering. No really storytelling wise this fight is amazing. But gameplay wise this fight sucks, it's way to easy, to boring and the abundance of ads ruin it. Number 7 Myriel : Found her way to easy, as a second to last boss having a huge static hitboxe like that meaning you can damage her like (hello Eleine Last Rite), her Claws are easy to avoid to me, and using Julius mid-long range there is even an exploit that trick her AI into using the Claws attack and shockwave while out of range, and preventing her to use her other attacks, making her even easier. Good lore again tough. Number 6 Siegrid : Now it's only good bosses, good introduction to the game, limited moveset, but since you're also have a very limited moveset it balance out, and she at least doesn't have a lot of HP so she doesn't overstate her welcome. Number 5 Eleine : Really fun fight to learn, my gripe is she is a bit to predictable, and none of her attack are challenging, also being a flying boss you can abuse Fall Damage on her, and destroy her with it. Number 4 Gerrod : The first challenging fight, I think his spirit kinda sucks personnaly, but the boss fight is really good, get progressivly harder, until Phase 3 where he became a LOT more aggressive, and the fight became much more intense (help a lot by the music). Number 3 Ulv : Basically same as Gerrod, but faster and more diverse moveset, this guy AI is actually straight forward, but it take sometime to learn, and his Phase 3 he became a lot more aggressive, and mix up his attacks more randomly to keep you on your toes. Also I love him as a spirit just saying, and his lore was touching. Number 2 Silva : Basically Siegrid 2.0, really enjoyable fight, a good moveset to keep you on your toes, and her Second Form is really quick and can definitly caugh off gard, my only grip would be the second phase of her first form where her AI is really wacky with the projectile attacks. Number 1 Julius : OK First off that fucking music is a banger goddamn, best boss theme in the game not even close, and the atmosphere is equally awesome, with an awesome chara-design. And the fight is equally great, first off this is the only in the game that actually can block, meaning it's the only boss where you just can't go mad at him on his face, else he'll block everything (Last Rite included), meaning you have to learn him to find opening, and like every boss he get progressivly more aggressive and harder throughout the fight, also special shoutout to NG+, where the other bosses new attack doesn't change the fight to much, his new attack in NG+ is a slow projectile that follow you around, which he can keep attacking while his projectile goes, making the fight much more trickier. I really have no negative in this fight, it's fun to learning, it's challenging but always fair, and the atmosphere and lore is great. My only grip with Julius is My God for a boss fight this great, I would have hope his Spirit would be much better, but sadly as a spirit Julius is pretty disappointing.
My own top 9 list playing through the game I had a much diffrent play style than you it seems I had two sets for my spirits a super aggressive melee set and a patient ranges set used for taking care of things at a distance but with that said Number 9 Blight lord- Yea this boss fight really does suck and without the right relics equipped then it's such a slog, it has way too much health and does so much damage and the fact that it summons those little shits is the worst part about it and yet despite all of this, the boss isn't even all that hard for a final boss it was very disappointing but hey how often can you say killing a god was easy? The music fucking slaps though! Number 8 Hoenir yea this boss is just annoying to deal with really but beyond that it was just kinda boring and that's honestly its greatest sin the enemies he summons were mostly a non factor in the fight itself and using some AOEs makes this fight pretty simple and easy tbh, at least the spirt became one of my mains when I got them Number 7 Myriel- this fight for me was more a test of patients than anything else for this fight unlike yourself I used a mostly ranged strategy staying at a distance and moving in to give it a good smack when I could the fight was rather tense and fun playing it this way as you gotta do a bit more recourse management when you go at her Number 6 Elenie- honestly I should have found this boss more annoying more than anything else but I didn't predicting the teleports chasing down this floating witch was actually pretty fun nothing else really too it just a fast paced fight Number 5 Gerrod- this fight felt slow to me which I suppose fits given the characters abilities there's honestly not much for me to say personally about this fight really he wasn't bad he wasn't good for me Number 4 Guardian siegrid She's simple and her simplicity is its strength with you only having a single spirit this fight feels more even than others at least at first honestly in my opinion the transformation halfway through the fight felt like a downgrade to me but this was still a super fun fight Number 3 Silva is a lot like seigrid but better and it still feels like an even fight as both of you have a lot more moves you can use and so do they, the fight is fast at first and you really gotta read her attacks to react accordingly it keeps you moving and keeps you focused on the fight sadly again much like siegrid the transformation is the weakest part but it was still good Number 2 Ulv- this fight is a lot more my style you never get a moment to breath here your constantly dashing constantly attacking with trading blows with him feeling satisfying, and that's the best word for this fight satisfying it feels like a duel between you two and with the exception of that stupid X claw attack all his moves feel balanced with his third form being a lot faster this fight just gets the blood pumping Number 1 Julius- the best way I can describe this isn't a fight or a duel, this is a dance pure and simple a dance between two warriors giving it there all and the fight is hard with his attacks being both hard hitting and fast as well but that's what makes it so good, timing your doges just right for a punish backing off if needed for a quick heal and dashing through his attacks to deliver a hard counter all while listening to some of the best music the game has to offer and this fight is just an absolute beauty Julius is the best boss hands down with the only really bad part about the fight being that massive beam that WILL kill you if you get hit by it but other than that it's an amazing fight

You may have activated your inner gamer god at that point

My only grip with Julius is My God for a boss fight this great, I would have hope his Spirit would be much better, but sadly as a spirit Julius is pretty disappointing.
Yeah man respectable list
Absolutely agree with Julius being #1. What an absolutely perfect fight. He was my favourite boss in the whole game
My own top 9 list playing through the game I had a much diffrent play style than you it seems I had two sets for my spirits a super aggressive melee set and a patient ranges set used for taking care of things at a distance but with that said
Number 9
Blight lord- Yea this boss fight really does suck and without the right relics equipped then it's such a slog, it has way too much health and does so much damage and the fact that it summons those little shits is the worst part about it and yet despite all of this, the boss isn't even all that hard for a final boss it was very disappointing but hey how often can you say killing a god was easy? Number 7
Myriel- this fight for me was more a test of patients than anything else for this fight unlike yourself I used a mostly ranged strategy staying at a distance and moving in to give it a good smack when I could the fight was rather tense and fun playing it this way as you gotta do a bit more recourse management when you go at her
Number 6
Elenie- honestly I should have found this boss more annoying more than anything else but I didn't predicting the teleports chasing down this floating witch was actually pretty fun nothing else really too it just a fast paced fight
Number 5
Gerrod- this fight felt slow to me which I suppose fits given the characters abilities there's honestly not much for me to say personally about this fight really he wasn't bad he wasn't good for me
Number 4
Guardian siegrid
She's simple and her simplicity is its strength with you only having a single spirit this fight feels more even than others at least at first honestly in my opinion the transformation halfway through the fight felt like a downgrade to me but this was still a super fun fight
Number 3
Silva is a lot like seigrid but better and it still feels like an even fight as both of you have a lot more moves you can use and so do they, the fight is fast at first and you really gotta read her attacks to react accordingly it keeps you moving and keeps you focused on the fight sadly again much like siegrid the transformation is the weakest part but it was still good
Number 2
Ulv- this fight is a lot more my style you never get a moment to breath here your constantly dashing constantly attacking with trading blows with him feeling satisfying, and that's the best word for this fight satisfying it feels like a duel between you two and with the exception of that stupid X claw attack all his moves feel balanced with his third form being a lot faster this fight just gets the blood pumping
Number 1
Julius- the best way I can describe this isn't a fight or a duel, this is a dance pure and simple a dance between two warriors giving it there all and the fight is hard with his attacks being both hard hitting and fast as well but that's what makes it so good, timing your doges just right for a punish backing off if needed for a quick heal and dashing through his attacks to deliver a hard counter all while listening to some of the best music the game has to offer and this fight is just an absolute beauty Julius is the best boss hands down with the only really bad part about the fight being that massive beam that WILL kill you if you get hit by it but other than that it's an amazing fight
Respectable list I think I was a bit too harsh with the julius fight but i will say he easily has the best theme in the game
Can not agree
Yeah it is opine just like any other boss ranking
