MODDERS TO THE RESCUE!!! THANK YOU TIMES A TRILLION!! I am tearing up, I never thought I'd see this day. So gorgeous!! Even the fur of Squall's coat. and the stars. and just..., this is my childhood. I am ready to cry, this game is so special.
Ahhh, your mods are giving my kids such a more vivid experience playing FF8 than I did in 1999. 😆 Thank you all for the awesome work! Cannot wait to enjoy awesome graphics AND voices!
Lord have mercy y'all never miss! Thank you so much to everyone who puts in all the time and energy for these mods! This is my favorite FF and it's so awesome to see such care given to this fantastic game!
There's a reason for that. That way is severely outdated. I love FF, but I love even more remake/rebirth and how it's modernized, I can never go back to the originals.😊
Gorgeous man, absolutely gorgeous, makes me dream of the impossible dream of the traditional (and the best) ff turn based system in a Slexy modern day graphics engine, so many people would pay good money to see that, why? Why won't you do it Square Enix? Don't you like money? 🤣 Seriously tho... Why? 😢This is breathtaking to watch! Excellent work! Love it!
Thank you and yes, part of the Junction VIII mod manager Catalog, so you just pick the mods you want and launch the game with improved graphics, soundtracks and voices!
Awesome! Do you have plans to release this mod for the Remastered version? It should be as easy as using the "FFVIII Demaster" tool and then overwriting the .avi files in the 'data/movies' folder with the Cinema-RF versions.
Once we get a newer framework for Remaster, it should work by then. FFNx driver has a built in ffmpeg player that allows us to play any codec that ffmpeg can encode and decode while Remaster doesn't have our super powers yet
This is magnificent, I have to ask, which version of ff8 is this for? And it looks resplendent, the contrast the brightness the lighting! It's beautiful I'd never seen eight look so good!
Thank you William! mod is compatible with the original 2000 and 2013 Steam release + Junction VIII mod manager that FFNx driver makes it all possible, nothing yet for the 2019 Remaster version
Yeah black bars on the side in game, and even better video quality, YT punishes the video quality a lot and only 8Bit video, while in game, or if you unpack the mod and watch all the movies, they are 10bit higher quality than YT trailer!
Okay, this remasterization of a PSX game makes it look better than PS5 games, can someone explain that?? Now, the first person to make a compilation of all the FMVs in this mod is the best SEED ever!
Hey dude, dont take this the wrong way... can you just make the vids available for download using the same format as the og vids so i could just swap them? Or will the game struggle with handling incompatible video codecs or something?
you need the FFNx driver for FF8 2000 og disk edition or the 2013 steam version, the Junction VIII mod manager makes it easy and installs the driver automatically for you, you can unpack the .iroj file yourself with the mod manager and manually replace yes but only with the modern driver. FFNx has ffmpeg built in and can play any format that ffmpeg can decode/encode. If you are trying to get the videos for the Remaster version of FF8, is not possible yet.
@@SilverTesteris OK once you download and use "the 3rd party software" you are going to ask yourself why didn't I install this before?! this is awesome!
@Tsunamods i understand your manager is built for ease and convenience, im not calling you out. Just trying to understand if i could pull an easier file swap without having to mess around with game files. Thank for taking the time to reply.
True 16:9 after a few months break, will out paint to fill the sides, no need to stretch or crop, you could for now by changing the original aspect ratio to "stretch to fill" and I hate that myself, or play at 16:9 resolution (1920x1080) with 4:3 Native aspect ratio with black bars on the sides witch I prefer for now until true 16:9 is done
Nah, space on HDD on this day and age is nothing, , 15fps is so outdated and a limitation the devs had in the past plus with the amount of detail the videos get now, making them at 15fps, they just looked completely off, at the end of the day is just preference, you get a mod manager, the user choose and enable/disable the mods they want to play, you don't like it, just don't play with it, and you can still enjoy the og-pixelated-15fps-laggy videos
it was a combination of multiple AIs at first, to then cherry pick and put together all the best results into one for each of the 104 FMVs! thank you for the comment though, it helps us a lot :D
Is OK that some people are not going to like it, but you are wrong, is NOT "only AI", tons of post processing was done 1. to fix vanilla bugs and 2. to remove AI generated artifacts, it was a combination of multiple AIs at first, to then cherry pick and put together all the best results into one for each of the 104 FMVs!

My first Final Fantasy game...I still play it every few years and still get amazed by the amount of detail and story mixed with beautiful music.
Same here, I pretty much re-play a hand full of old ps1/ps2 game every year or so for nostalgia.
me too, my first
Woo Axlrose! Thank you for keeping me up to date with this dude. Its incredible what you and the team have done! - Miss_hi_Jinx here 😁
Thank you @Miss_Hi_Jinx for covering our mods during your streams, makes my day every time!
Goosebumps!
It looked like this for young me at the Time of Release. Maaaan i want that Graphic for the Game itself.

This is truly breathtaking.
I cannot wait for a 7th Heaven style mode manager for FF8. 🥰
There is already one in the description!
Looks incredible! ❤
Right?
Amazing work. Truly stunning they look great.
Lord have mercy y'all never miss! Thank you so much to everyone who puts in all the time and energy for these mods! This is my favorite FF and it's so awesome to see such care given to this fantastic game!
Damn nice, time for another replay!
This looks amazing, I can’t wait
Wow this looks incredible
With all these modes, you guys revive my childhood "me"
Astonishing work! My favorite game of the franchise and definitely one of my favorite of all time as well!
Incredible, ty for this.
Friend, you are something else. Its perfect. Amazing... a masterpiece. Cant wait to see for myself.
❤❤❤ thank you!!!! ❤❤❤
They don't make games like this anymore.
unfortunately
Cherish that you could play that one instead of mourning the fact that you can't have multiple.
I loved the 16th story, but new combat is just not for me. I really miss slow pacing of old titles
There's a reason for that. That way is severely outdated. I love FF, but I love even more remake/rebirth and how it's modernized, I can never go back to the originals.😊
They do
Great job guys! Can't wait for Echo S8!
Thank you! same here, the Echo-S 8 demo is already out on the mod manager and it also includes the Cinema-RF videos with voices!
Excellent !
FF9 is the one I'm waiting the most, but I will absolutely be playing Echo for 8 as well!
Thank you for you work! 😍
Stunning work! You are a legend, or legends. Are you a team or a person?
We are a team, and this particular mod was made by AxlRose
Finally some more love for ff8 😊
this is for the og steam version not the remastered right?
We can do outpainting for widescreen on top of this using Runway, I'll look into it
If only a remake with such graphics was in play
YESSSSSSSS 🎉
yooo hypee
imagine that with remake models plus voice mod plus cinema rf deymn
We are already working on replacing 3D models and voice mod Echo-S 8 Demo is already out until Timber and the whole Balamb Garden too!
Gods work
You guys are really pushing my hand with liking this game 😂.
we'll make sure we push your whole body in a few months, we are just getting started! haha

Please do like a FF9 Moguri Mod for FF8 🙏🏼🙏🏼
already on it 👀
👀
Wow ❤❤❤😢
dude, is for steam, for og or remastered or both?
for Original 2000 Disk edition and 2013 Steam edition, NOT for 2019 Remaster yet
All I need is a remake with this exact graphics.
is it work in FFVIII Remastered?
Not yet
Oh c'mon!, where's the Ragnarok scene 😁.
Amazing work! It's beautiful. Imagine what would look like on a good game.
❤thank you for the amazing words to you! I can't wait for you to play it and hear from you again after!
Is this how the scenes present in the final mod? I'd rather have black bars on the sides than the weird blurry pieces added to the side :/
Yeah black bars on the side in game, and even better video quality, YT punishes the video quality a lot and only 8Bit video, while in game, or if you unpack the mod and watch all the movies, they are 10bit higher quality than YT trailer!

Works on ff8 remastered version?????????????
Soon™
I may get rotten tomatoes thrown at me for this, but will these stretch to 16x9 according to our game settings?
True 16:9 after a few months break, will out paint to fill the sides, no need to stretch or crop, you could for now by changing the original aspect ratio to "stretch to fill" and I hate that myself, or play at 16:9 resolution (1920x1080) with 4:3 Native aspect ratio with black bars on the sides witch I prefer for now until true 16:9 is done
I dont see much of a difference
👀
Square is woke now how sad
As long as it is the original ps1 squall. I will not 🤮 The remaster squall is cringe af
Yes original Squall, not the Remaster cartoon
should do a version with original fps. why? we got ai frame generation. Less space on hdd WITH the added fps. no need to hard bake fps anymore.
Nah, space on HDD on this day and age is nothing, , 15fps is so outdated and a limitation the devs had in the past plus with the amount of detail the videos get now, making them at 15fps, they just looked completely off, at the end of the day is just preference, you get a mod manager, the user choose and enable/disable the mods they want to play, you don't like it, just don't play with it, and you can still enjoy the og-pixelated-15fps-laggy videos
my guess is that this is a a 4090 dlss maa tsaa whatever the AI crap is making this , its almost the same just the upload makes it a bit cheaper
