I had one of the old ones with the cast parts. It was a pile of junk. The test of the new one with the forged parts by Klay was very positive. I would definitely own one of the new ones.
Thanks for the show, I have one of the Pioneer underfolders myself, maybe 400 rds threw it so far, Runs perfect. As I am sure you know, If a trunion is machined, CNC as one piece, There will be No bullet rivet .
They really put out a nice rifle once the trunnion issue was fixed. I got one of black under folders and it’s been awesome. Especially for the price! I hate to see any gun company having trouble. I hope they figure out something. It was veterans that assembled them. Hate to see them out of a job. 😢
I am still seeing a ton of the Pioneer arms products at the gun show I went to over the weekend. My Pioneer Arms sporter in 7.62x39 has been great so far and it is one of the first batches that moved to the forged reunions, so it should be good for a while.
I Just bought one today for 450 on sale- had like a 40-50% off sale. I've been looking at ak's for a while now and figured id get one while its cheap. I will update it when i get it and put mags through it.
The Pioneer AK's with wood furniture look really good. I was eventually going to get one of their forged trunnion under folders, but by the time I'm ready for it they'll probably be sold out.
It amazes me that when talking about the AK (known for reliability) anymore all you hear people talk about is poor reliability, and scared to buy them because they won’t last 🤦🏼♂️. What has happened?
@DILLIGAF88 that's a good question, I think some of that is due to some manufacturers using cast materials for components that were never intended for them. And some honestly don't do research enough on a particular one and believe everything they hear on reddit or whatever.
It's honestly a shame, as I thought some of their offerings were kinda neat. For a fun range gun I got a PSA one instead, as I can send it in for warranty when it craps the bed!
I hav the 556 and the 762 20inch pioneer both shoot flawlessly.... it sucks cuz you really cudnt beat the price, especially if u went wit a blem... got a good rifle fer $500.... hopfully they bounce back better and not greedy again
@ yeah man I’m not happy! Horrible “forged” parts and I can tell ya right now the bolt is out of spec. I bought it wanted to keep rounds off my imports and have something to beat on. I thought GF5 they gotta know what they’re doing somewhat now…yeah right! PSA wouldn’t refund of course nor would they put some of their Romanian or WBP internals to fix the issues so fuck em! Have them “fix” it which means throw the same bs parts in and send it out! I will sell it after it returns back
I don't like playing games when it comes to my AK. Thats why i jumped on a saiga for $350 with the rear end converted. that was years ago and it goes to my son when im gone.
@ probably, speaking of another company i’ve recently had a bad experience with century arms 2022 model wasr so i think ill stick to buying old imports/builds. the guide rails for the bolt were bent badly after 1500rds and the hammer was destroyed. my wasr 10-63 is still great after 3500rds, pretty pissed cause century was like yea no we won’t repair it.

@johnlabree6286 yeah, I was impressed by his video, it was partially why I bought my 20" sporter.

@jasonhinds463 yep, totally agree.
I can’t help but notice my Pioneer makes the same holes and similar groups as my buddy’s Arsenal.
@@luminousknight7947 🤣
Great info on identifying the different types of trunnion man thank you 🙏
@glautreu8431 you're welcome, thanks for watching!

I picked up a forged Sporter about a week ago, also. $449 from Classic Firearms. I already had a forged Hellpup and the Sporter is just a longer unit.

@jasonanderson2403 they might still be floating around, last I checked, Gunzone Deals had some.
Beautiful AK. 😍
@gshock3092 thanks, yes it is, their AKs sure do look nice!
I have arsenals and they are all banged up. Why? Because to me it’s a tool and I want it to be tested and actually used.
I snagged a pps43. I had been sitting on getting one until I heard about them going out of business.
Nice and thanks for the info.
@rezkali01 you bet, thanks for watching.

I have the WASR 10/63 UF with the famous canted front sight. I fixed the sight with a RPK rear sight,
@bozo572 cool, glad you could make it work. I've heard pretty decent things about them, other than the sights.
Shipping cap for charging handle.
@@TomP-nw4wu cool, thanks for the ID, I might get some for my AKs.
I am really hoping they are not out of business. I liked their pps43's.
@traviscochran6280 only time will tell I guess, they might re-open, who knows.

Where can I find a blem at
@@brettaughenbaugh4541 yep, I agree. Many knock them, but for one with a forged trunnion, it's the most affordable.
@@TheBrian2024 I got mine straight from Pioneer before they closed up, Gunzone Deals may have some.
Zastavas are awesome! I have a few along with a molot vepr! I picked up a PSA gf5 and boy that was a mistake! Absolutely awful aks
@Grizzlyman420 interesting, I had GF3, but only for a short time, now I have 5 Zastavas lol!

pioneer is no longer in business
Some people may not care but machining with no bayonet lug....
pioneer arms USA is now defunct
They would still be in business if they didn't make a S### Product.
