Like, there are many soft and nice things she could have been as "soft spoken" as, but it's a spider (not saying spiders are bad, esp little jumping ones are cute, just in a metaphor sense, a "spider" is something that can poison you) I hadn't thought about this before, but I just wanted to add on my idea of what it could mean!

Also, I really love the live sessions, it’s fun to see performers having a good time playing great music! Edit: I forgot to include my interpretation of the lyrics! It seems a bit like the perspective of someone in a relationship (possibly familial or friendship) with a “she” whose love is… unique. To best describe it, I would say it reminds me of my older sister, who claims to love me but tormented me. Nobody else in my life has ever treated me how she did, not any of the people who love me now. Describing the voice as like a hatchet through the trees, fury shaking the rafters not in “my” favour, and trembling in the eye of the only storm “I’ve” ever known… I’m strongly reminded of comforting myself growing up after she’d have a terrifying burst of anger in my direction. I hope this isn’t over sharing, but I just want to say that I can really relate to the lyrics in this way, and it feels nice. I love all the music from this band, but this might be my new favourite song over “Keep You Safe” now.
