I am using this sunscreen in the past few months and loved it. Very moisurizing, and I have dry skin. In fact, I think it is a bit too moisturizing for the summer, so fall and winter should be great to use it. Great texture, no white cast, no pilling, and most importantly it did not sting my eyes like other chemical sunscreens that I have tried before. It has a glow finish, dewy, but I like that so no problem for me.

I like how you break down each ingredient especially each filter and what they protect against, thank you! I really like this sunscreen I hope there’s no controversy with it 😫
Hey, Kolmar has other sunscreens which have been tested to pass lab testing (ex. Thank you farmers, etc). Some other Korean brands who also had issues with their sunscreens have turned to Kolmar to reformulate their sunscreens. For example Be Plain and the Round Lab sunscreens all failed initially but after changing to Kolmar as their sunscreen manufacturer, their new or reformulated sunscreens all pass the lab tests now. So I would trust the Isntree sunscreens to be true to their stated sunscreen value. I currently use one of the Isntree sunscreens and it's very good.
Getting a bit sick of HA too. I live in Canada so I only use HA specific products like 3 months out of the year. I much prefer aloe, algae, propolis, ceramides.
My current best practice with the current sketchy sunscreen situation is to apply the nicest feeling product on my face, and then layer with different brands from different continents throughout the day in hopes that at least one spf will keep me protected. The Korean sunscreens are very elegant feeling so adding 5 layers does not result in a super heavy feeling application. Since reapplication of sunscreen is recommended anyway, it aligns with that. Hopefully the brands will publish their retesting results and reformulate as necessary. We all want to trust these brands again.
I couldn't agree with you more! A few days ago when I was outside all day I went for a layering technique too- sunscreen, BB cream with SPF, Setting spray with SPF and then a setting powder with SPF- seemed to work well- no redness or tanning at all!
@@NOBSBeauty amen! Post 2020 my big resolution was spf protection. I got all the Uv protection clothes, creams, umbrellas, I go outside looking like Orko from He-man...

My skin is oily and blemish prone so insanely hard to find even lightweight SPF moisturizers that just absorb to a natural healthy skin finish without being too moisturizing or congesting me as many even Kbeauty varieties still do. Literally have yet to run across a single Isntree product that hasnt knocked it out of the park for me which still baffles me per how fussy my skin normally is! 🤗😍
Isntree is super impressive- I'm with you- everything I've tried from them has been a winner so far, and I love that their products aren't ridiculously expensive, either!
@@NOBSBeauty 100% Sarah! Hard to find a single good product within some lines yet alone one line that has so many winners quite frankly feels like voodoo to me. Imo the prices for their quality of formulations have been pennies compared to all else I have tried in my life not remotely worth the cost and hype. As much as I would like to in my lifetime find a completely mineral natural spf I just dont see it happening comically as no matter the new formulations of high zinc non nano varieties on market even when mixed with moisturizing oils etc for easy spread ability the claims of "sheer" seem to be a joke for my oily blemish prone skin every time. I'm fair so slight white cast oiesnt bother me but even when they dont spread like diaper cream they just never dry down and leave my skin tacky which always leads to greasiness and instead congestion within hours, especially the ones that use a million silicones for "ease of use" which my skin hates just as much and heavy and pasty. I'm the meantime will stick with this Isntree as may not be the healthiest but is an impressive protection product that I literally dont dread applying every morning per how effortless it goes on for me and doubles as my moisturizer. Price ofcourse keeps going up but what can you do, still under $30 atleast currently and does go a long way. The only US spf I've found to date that works for me is Flesh Spf 35 which is the texture of a whipped water like milk lotion and a dream to apply. Just not sure if the filters are as potent as Isntree's and also find it random how it has next to no reviews online as they have some great makeup as well. Used to be carried at Ulta but now on their website only. Curious if you have ever heard of it by chance? :)
I recently saw a creator that I follow reapply her sunscreen with a beauty blender with a full face of makeup. It seemed to work really well. I'm sure she didn't get the correct amount that you supposed to use, but at least it's something.
I love this sunscreen, but since the Purito scandal, most Korean sunscreens that passed the test are getting more and more expensive. It was only last year when we had a lot of Korean sunscreens that were sold under $15. Nowadays, most of them are above $20. This sunscreen is currently around $29-$40 in my country. It was only $16 a few months ago.
You would think Kbeauty of japanese sunscreens would lower their prices given the trust issue but instead the remaining 'reliable' ones are raising their prices. Well, let's see how well they do since they lost most of their customer base.
@@Hanadulset4567 i don't buy from those websites. Korean (and Japanese) skincare products are very accessible in my country. They're everywhere at the drugstores. What i notice is that, most Korean sunscreens are getting more expensive, while Japanese sunscreens are still as cheap as they were a few years ago. All of Bioré sunscreens are sold around $5-$12 - the cult-favorite UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence is only $6. Skin Aqua sunscreens are even cheaper. They're mostly around $2.56-$5. While most Korean sunscreens are above $15, which is weird, considering a few of them were caught having a much lower SPF rating. A'pieu, Missha, Etude House and CosRX are the only Korean brands that still sell cheap sunscreens.
I have actually had success with this sunscreen so far in the high altitude desert where I live. I was really surprised it works for me here. I got it specifically to use while I was in NY for a month where a typical day's humidity was in the 90s. When I got home, mid day humidity was around 12-15%, slightly higher at night, about 20% and I haven't had any dryness with this like I have had with other hyaluronic acid products, I honestly don't understand why or how. I have been cycling through using a few different moisturizers, the iunik centella gel cream and Farmacy's honey halo, neither are very occlusive but are working alright for me this Fall, compared to the All in one cream they leave me wanting a bit more hydrating but the sunscreen seems to add what I need. Not sure how moisture isn't being drawn out of my skin. So far this Isntree sunscreen has been very pleasant to use. Especially in contrast to the canmake and Thank you farmer, both left weird residue/casts on me and I am very pale. Isntree leaves me with a nicer natural dewy finish. Reviews aside, I do really wish they would lay off the hyaluronic acid, so many brands going so hard, adding as many forms of HA as they can. It's a cheap ingredient, we can do better and use better humectants!
Very interesting, I think Isntree really did an amazing job formulating this- they added in such an amazing amount of soothing and beneficial ingredients- it must be enough to prevent the rebound dryness. Very good point about HA- it is probably one of the cheapest skincare ingredients around- so brands like Loreal can make an HA serum, sell it for $40 and probably profit $36 on it.
I have been using it since March and so far I really enjoy it. It doesn’t dry me out, but it does take some time for this sunscreen to set on my face. I think it’s great for day to day use, but if you are spending too much time outside I would not recommend it. I don’t think it water or sweat resistant. Still like this product and reach for it on the days when I don’t plan to be outside a lot and need something nice and moisturizing on my face.
Wearing this sunscreen today! Noticed that if it’s super dry outside the HA in this will dry my skin out a little bit even with moisturizer. Prefer the round lab for drier skin days but love the way this looks and feels!
You are right about this, HA can be a great ingredient, but mostly for when the environment you're in is humid, which korea tends to be so it makes sense. Love my round lab sunscreen.
I appreciate the way you explain every product! Can you please review the Kate Somerville Delikate line. You don’t see a lot of reviews that explain their ingredients
I definitely need to review that line, I really enjoyed the ones I tried. The delikate Serum and moisturizer. Very good ingredients list and wonderful for sensitive skin.
Holy crap I just opened this one up used it about 30 min ago and my face is like an oil slick and I have mega dry skin. Idk what that’s all about. Back to beauty if JOSEON I guess? Unless it takes an extra long time to dry down
I really liked this one until I realized it was somehow migrating in my eyes and causing them to remain almost bloodshot all day. This also causes me to tear up constantly and my eyes never stopped watering. I alternated between this one and kinship so far this week and this one dried my skin out more than the physical kinship! I'm in Memphis TN for reference.
Eyes are so interesting in how some eyes react to certain filters. Some are sensitive to one but not the other and vice versa. Sometimes it's just hard to know until you try it. The Kinship is so nice, really big favorite of mine b
This is my biggest skincare "problem" everything migrates into my eyes. I could put something on my chin and it will somehow wander to my eyes. I can only use PHYSICAL unscented sunscreens. As for eye cream I skip it, if my under eyes are dry I will use a dab of Argan oil somehow its the only thing that doesnt sting.
Hi Sarah I like quite a few Isntree products, but haven't tried this one (nor any of the HA line tbh). My dry skin living in Scotland isn't a fan of lots of HA - it's not a humid place normally lol. I do find multi HA products really give me rebound dehydration and avoid them for my skin type/location. This spf seems to be getting a fair amount of hype though and seems quite popular. It is formulated for the Korean market and Korea is a humid place - so I can see why it would be popular there. It's a good list of filters and other nice ingredients and will suit many people I'm sure. I can't say I'm desperate to try it due to all the HA, but if I got a sample I would give it a go. Best wishes.
You sound like you have a lot of the same issues with hyalyronic acid- the rebound dehydration is a huge issue in winter especially. Definitely wouldn't want to use this during the winter at all. I must say I am impressed with all the beneficial ingredients they added to this one, I'll definitely try and finish this one before the summer ends.
I could not bring myself to trust a Korean sunscreen without any sort of backup. I'm still trying to fix the sun damage after using Klairs and truly not understanding why I was getting sunburn until the bomb exploded. By fixing, I mean laser treatments that I didn't ever need before using Klairs sunscreen. Supergoop would do for now 🤷🏼♀️
I love the ingredients in this one. I've been only using mineral sunscreens and this was the first one I tried a couple weeks ago and I had a horrible allergic reaction. I have to stick to mineral sunscreens.... :(
The Beekman Milk Sunscreen Primer SPF 35 is pretty decent, matte finish, and good for sensitive skin types, too. I really like the Australian Gold Botanical Sunscreen, has a slight tint to it but works nicely under foundation. A lot of people also really like the Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen as a primer- I liked it but I have super dry skin and didn't love the finish as much.
I find I don’t reach for this sunscreen very often. It’s too shiny for me. I rarely wear makeup, so I don’t want to go to the trouble of putting on a setting powder for a darn sunscreen.
I lived in China... I think this brand is in China. Now I can't be sure because back then I wasn't into skincare. But when I was back in the UK and found out about this brand it looked so familiar. The way the name is written is pretty captivating. I couldn't read is is isntree because I didn't realise it was a capital N in that pattern.... It could also be a mimic brand though, or a brand with a similar logo I remember. Anyway, waiting for this to arrive. Bought it recently. Looking forward to trying.
You'll have to let me know how you like it- hopefully it works well for you! I'm impressed- it sounds like you have lived lots of different places- the one thing I loved about travelling was seeing all the different brands in different countries- so fascinating how trends and styles vary from one country to the next!
Bought this off Stylevana recently & waiting for it to arrive...I'm a little worried about the hylauronic acid because i usually don't do well with it but...I figured I'd try it and I can at least use it as a body sunscreen if I hate it for my face haha
This product is really nice- although I would have been so happy if they would have left out some of the hyaluronic acids- lots of filters which is impressive. You'll have to let me know how you like it!
@@NOBSBeauty been loving it!!! It’s one of my new favs. No irritation although I’ve experienced a very minor amount of pilling. It’s great though! Very hydrating.

Big thanks again for the detailed review. I really like this sunscreen, no issue at all for me but because Its korean i Will not repurchase. I just bought IS clinical sunscreen with antiaging ingrédients To compensate for Poor korean sunscreen in the past!! CiaoXox
I tried this after seeing some earlier rave reviews. It is better, and less greasy than most. it does leave a bit of a 'shine' finish, so would need a bit of make-up if you don't want that. When applying this, it is like what I call an 'egg white' type of thing going on. It does dry down... So, not what I would call greasy. But, this would describe the look and feel of this sunscreen. I WISH I COULD FIND A GOOD SUNSCREEN WITH NEWER FILTERS THAT WAS AS LIGHT AND DRY/MATTE AS THE U.S. NEUTROGENA CLEAR FACE!!!!! ANYBODY WITH ANY RECOMMENDATIONS???
I might recommend checking out the new Round Lab Birch Juice Sun Cream SPF- it really applies pretty natural doesn't leave skin looking shiny, but doesnt leave skin feeling matte- so far it has been really nice and something that I don't dread applying every day.
Very informative. I’m wondering how this will work under foundation. I don’t use powders to set my foundation they just don’t work for me. What are your thoughts on using it under foundation is it going be too greasy feeling?
It is a bit thick, although the nice thing is that foundation helps cover up the whitecast, so that is a good thing. I have had better luck with medium texture gel-lotion foundations over this as opposed to some of the longwearing liquid foundations over this. Applying the foundation with your hands or a beauty blender also works much better than applying it with a brush which ended up causing the sunscreen and foundation to pill. My Dr Jart BB Cream applied with a beauty blender sponge had no issues. My Bare Minerals Liquid Foundation ended up pilling nearly anyway I applied it.
I was waiting for your review on this product....still very cautious about Korean sunscreens....some influencers liked this product BUT..I just don't know....maybe it's just me🤣🤣🤣....at least this product has more filters...which, you would expect, has " reliable " protection??!😶🙏
I think it is very wise to be cautious- especially until this loophole is fixed. What is the saying.. fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me?!?! That is kind of how I feel about a lot of sunscreens these days.
Have you reviewed Colorescience Sunforgettable Total Face Shield? I tried looking back at old videos but was unsuccessful. I think Colorescience has a new product out with 4 different shades
Going to be reviewing that one asap, I really enjoy it. I've had luck with most products I've tried from them. Although I don't fully trust their powder spf, it's a nice addition to sunscreen.

I am curious what you meant by being sunscreen phobic (or why you are) as Im in a similar boat. I’m desperate to find a good one I can tolerate but I’ve been terrified to try anything new since having a terrible reaction to a mineral sunscreen (which is supposedly “gentler” than chemical sunscreens). I never had an allergic reaction to anything. I use Tretinoin without any issues. I don’t know what ingredient I was allergic in that mineral sunscreen (or if mineral ones just don’t agree with me?) but now Im scared to try anything new. I have to use something as I’m on Tretinoin.
@@ScoobyDoosMom I hated SPF all of them burned my face burned my eyes and broke me out I had a reaction to everything on top of being uncomfortable but I did find that Korean chemical filters are different and are super comfortable no reaction and feel better on. I would try the Skin 1004 Hylu cica one with the white tube blue lid, that has been my favorite so far.
@@heathersargent289 Do you mean the MADAGASCAR CENTELLA HYALU-CICA WATER-FIT SUN SERUM SPF 50+ PA++++? It’s white with a light blue cap. Dr. Dray recommends that one. Thx!
If you are not sensitive to hyalyronic acid then I think it is pretty friendly for pores. For some reason HA is one of the few ingredients that suffocates my pores, but for most people this is not the case.

Supergoop would do for now 🤷🏼♀️
I totally understand, being cautious and listening to your gut is so important!
I’m new here, and I’ve been binge watching ur videos.❤️
So glad you found me!
I love the ingredients in this one. I've been only using mineral sunscreens and this was the first one I tried a couple weeks ago and I had a horrible allergic reaction. I have to stick to mineral sunscreens.... :(
Hi which do you prefer out of this one and beauty of joseon sunscreen? X
Causes me alot of breakouts, which I never had a problem with acne in my life
Can you recommend a sunscreen that plays well under makeup with out the shiny, greasy, or glassy look? I’ve tried soooo many. Thanks
OOOOO so glad to see you reviewing this one! I use it daily ever since i had to switch it for the Purito scamscreen :(
This one seems pretty trustworthy- several filters, and a different manufacturer from the scandalous sunscreens!
This just got an spf rating of 53 in some independent tests!!! That’s why I’ve been rushing to watch reviews on it :)
I use the links! Especially from YesStyle, I’ve been blowing up your Yesstle link 😂😂😂
Oh thank you so much, it makes a huge difference and I'm able to try so many more products than I otherwise would! 😘😘
@@NOBSBeauty you’re welcome I love to support you
Yesss, I've been waiting for your review Thank you!!
Can you please post more Isntree reviews? Best of Isntree?
Ooh yes- I've been loving a lot of their new products, definitely will review them asap!
I find I don’t reach for this sunscreen very often. It’s too shiny for me. I rarely wear makeup, so I don’t want to go to the trouble of putting on a setting powder for a darn sunscreen.
Hi, did you find a nice sunscreen for the face that is not too heavy? And nice without poweder or makeup? :)
@@user-gc3rv6jw3n I do like the Beauty of Joseon sunscreen. Although, it’s not water resistant.
@@sarahhagen2051 Thanks!
really liked this one. went through the bottle very quick
Did you like it on your face?
@@neshmalifestyletv2737 been using it for a few weeks now and OMG … I LOVE this sunscreen!!!
@@NOBSBeauty been loving it!!! It’s one of my new favs. No irritation although I’ve experienced a very minor amount of pilling. It’s great though! Very hydrating.
@@Je.Suis.Harlene thanks for your reply. Can’t wait to get it!
Good morning Sarah.. loving your sunscreen information very helpful
Thank you so much- always nice to see your name pop up in the morning! 😃😘
I would leave comments for you more often, but most of my RUclips viewing is on the roku, can’t leave comments at that link. I try to support as much as I’m limited to, wishing you the best success on here
i used this for a while, it left a slight white cast ( im fitzpatrick 4 ) but also a greasy+wet look
Hi, did you find a nice non greasy sunscreen? :-)
I order this sunscreen this morning from Amazon, hope it won’t be bad for me since I live in Texas and it’s very hot and humid here🤔
You'll have to let me know how it works for you!
I live in Florida so this was my number one question too lol. Maybe it’ll be good for the winter time 🤷🏾♀️
Yay, another one made by kolmar 💙
Have you reviewed Colorescience Sunforgettable Total Face Shield? I tried looking back at old videos but was unsuccessful. I think Colorescience has a new product out with 4 different shades
Going to be reviewing that one asap, I really enjoy it. I've had luck with most products I've tried from them. Although I don't fully trust their powder spf, it's a nice addition to sunscreen.
@@NOBSBeauty wonderful! I hear great things all the time but it is pricey for the size so I still go back and forth on wanting to try it
Is this sunscreen Water resistant?
I am one of tjose sunscreen Phobic people LOL but i ordenes the canmake one hoping i love it and can use it Daily. How did u like that Dr. C essense is it worth me ordering it i now u dont have a full bought on it get but just on first thoughts?
Thx!
@@ScoobyDoosMom yes that's the one .
I have extremely dry skin and found this sunscreen super shiny and oily:(
Hi!, I have sensitive skin and I was wondering if it’s fragrance free x
This one is fragrance free, pretty nice sunscreen for sensitive skin types and seems to do a great job from any sun damage, tanning, and redness!
Thanks Sarah 🍃💕!!
is the cosrx centella blemish cream good for dark spots?
It can help with newer inflammation and spots but for older dark spots i would go with a lightning product for dark spots and pigmentation issues.
@@NOBSBeautycan you please give me an example in the korean skincare?
Thanks for the time and effort. So appreciated🌹
You are so welcome!
Dear whether it clogs the pores?
If you are not sensitive to hyalyronic acid then I think it is pretty friendly for pores. For some reason HA is one of the few ingredients that suffocates my pores, but for most people this is not the case.
@@NOBSBeauty thank you so much for your valuable response dear❤️❤️❤️
hello from malaysia🇲🇾!!!
Neogen sunscreen is fda and Ofc registered/ approved. Question - can I trust it then? It’s sold in the US as a sunscreen.
I'm so done with seeing hyaluronic acid in products! 🙄
Thanks!
Curious to know if shipments to US or Canada from Geek & Gorgeous in Hungary have extra duty and brokerage clearance charges. Can anyone comment please?
I did not experience that. I did pay a foreign transaction fee with the credit card I used but I think that might depend on your credit card company
In the US I haven't had any issues, but not sure if Canada is different. Really enjoy their products, so worth every cent I've spent on them.
None if ur in the US but yes for canada. If ur looking for the cleanser I have extras looking to sell for the cost
@@matt8953 Thanks. Are you in Canada? Interested in G&G aPAD serum, Retinal 0.1% (A-Game 10), and cleanser (Jolly Joker).
@@neiltandan7900 no sorry i’m in US!
Can you do Avène Tinted sunscreen next!
Cannot wait to try this one, looks like they just released a new untinted and tinted formula!
