I recently bought barackat gentle gold because my orientica velvet gold perfume is doing too much and by that I mean that the animal notes in the dry down mixed with the patchouli and the vanila, caramel and powdery notes are smelling like poop covered in baby powder candied violets and jamy rose petals. The longer it macerates the stronger it becomes. I blind bought the orientica one based only on the hype that is getting but please if you can, test it first. It's not a safe blind buy and it's not exactly cheap (70€) and although everyone is saying that is a perfect dupe for MFK GFG, the combination of animal notes with the patchouli is repulsive. The longevity is 12h+. On the other hand the barackat one has no poopy note, is softer and doesn't last 12h like orientica but 6h is still a great performance in my opinion for less than 20€ so I cannot complain.

Thank you! I’m going keep the gentle gold from barakkat and if I get more curious about wanting the actual fragrance I’ll just have to buckle down and invest in the real thing!
