He was expecting a totally different answer based on the "DAMN!" He's a company driver and likely has been for many years. To see a young brother (who went from being a company driver to an owner/operator) taking great pride in his investment is NOT expected in his society, hence, the question before the compliment. In my opinion, I believe he was totally out of order with the line of questioning, and that you answered with great pride and an accomplished tone with your response, leveled the playing field and sent him on his way. When I was doing regional out here in the west coast as a company driver I made it a habit to wipe down the truck and clean out the reefer after shutting down so I can get nice and clean for the next load. Nice rig set up man! I have to say it every time I was watch an upload haha
It’s like a little meditation session and during the day you know you don’t have any issues and your truck looks good. Has to make the day go better. And at night you know your bed is ready when you’re ready. Schweeet

They look nice but I'm not a huge fan of the polished hubcaps covering the oil bath sight windows on steer or trailer axle hubs. Drive axle ends, fine. I like to see the oil level when doing a walk around. Seals seals seals...they all will leak at some point. Cleaner the truck is the easier it is to spot one starting to seep.
