Well done! Very helpful as I'm taking my first road trip from Milford, CT, to Martha's Vineyards with my R1S.

Love road tripping videos. Pretty cool you can select your preferred SoC at destination. I'd say this is more ideal for navigating to places which may not have as much charging infrastructure as a location (like NJ) with plenty. Arriving with a Lower SoC at each charge stop allows for a better charging curve, and faster charging. You'll get more comfortable. Model3 owner here, looking to get a R1S to add to my fleet. And traveling from Nova to OC MD last week, only had to stop once in Easton MD and arrived at OC with 10% it was an awesome trip. charged at destination.
keeping 68-72mph is the sweet spot for efficiency, and just enjoying the ride is the key.
Less charging stops, arriving at charging stops at lower SoC, makes the trip quicker.

I’m literally watching all these vids knowing I’m going to purchase one as my next car. My current one is paid for and functioning fine so I’m not trying to start nothin.

@@fratetraine No Judgement. I watched all the RUclips videos I could find about Rivians for about a year before I got mine!

Thank you for producing this content, I am on the waitlist for the R2 but am considering the refreshed R1s LFP battery. One piece of (hopefully) constructive advice is that it is much easier for folks who use EVs to understand charging rates in kilowatts rather than miles per hour. The miles per hour is unique to the vehicle but kilowatts is universal. Keep up the strong work!

@@benhand9308 great point. When I was making the video I was trying to help to dispel the myth that it takes for ever to charge to people who are skeptical about owning EVs. What I’ve learned is that those people tap out when I start talking about kilowatts rather than range because it’s a foreign concept to them.😂 Congrats on the R2. I personally think that is a great option if you don’t need the extra space from the R1S.

How do you like the Rivian otherwise? I'm considering getting the new model whenever it releases.
