Das Essen und das Trinken gehören zu den wichtigsten Dingen, die wir tun. Was und wie wir essen erzählt viel über uns Menschen. In der Stiftsbibliothek St.Gallen ist mit den Speisesegnungen von Ekkehart IV. aus dem 11. Jahrhundert eine einzigartige Quelle für die Küche des Mittelalters überliefert. Davon ausgehend begibt sich die Ausstellung auf Entdeckungsreise in die Ernährungskultur der Vergangenheit.

Summer Exhibition in the Baroque Hall of the Abbey Library of St Gall

Eating and drinking are among the most important things we do. What we eat and how we eat tells us much about ourselves as humans. The 11th-century food blessings of Ekkehart IV in the Abbey Library of St Gall are a unique source for the cuisine of the Middle Ages. Based on this collection of verses, the exhibition embarks on a voyage of discovery into the food culture of the past.
