    This new park is perfect for cyclists and skaters of all ages and skill levels. The 34-hectare facility is home to a road cycling course, international criterium track, inline skating track, new clubhouse and viewing mounds for residents to sit and soak up the cycling action in the sunshine!
    About the project
    The Brisbane International Cycle Park project delivers a premier destination for international cycling, enhancing the capacity of the reserve to meet sporting and recreation needs.
    The Brisbane International Cycle Park at Murarrie Recreation Reserve will support Brisbane’s cycling community in the lead up to and long after the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic games.
    Project benefits
    The Brisbane International Cycle Park project has delivered:
    international level criterium tracks and a 500-metre inline skating track
    a new multi-purpose clubhouse for events
    an upgraded car park
    a re-purposed original track to a multipurpose shadow track to allow for multiple recreational users and uses.
    The project also delivered new fencing, walkways, and plantings.
    The new multi-level, multi-purpose clubhouse is centrally located within the reserve and overlooks the upgraded criterium and inline skating tracks. The clubhouse is a two-storey, multi-use, accessible facility and includes:
    public amenities
    clubhouse change rooms and storage
    community space
    viewing terrace.
    The car park was fully funded by the Australian Government.
    The new multi-purpose clubhouse was proudly funded by the Queensland Government in association with Brisbane City Council.
    Project timelines
    Construction on the Brisbane International Cycle Park began in early 2023 and was completed in late 2024.
