So, first, I am a subscriber on your blog, but how did I never notice that you also do RUclips??? It was so neat to see you speaking and hear your voice. Just subscribed. Second, I am 4'11" and have never learned that trick about adding a long cardigan, etc. to bring the sides in. OMG! Life changing. I always thought I couldn't wear long cardigans because I'm so short, but you are making me rethink that. I may have to do some experimenting in a dressing room. Finally, I always thought I couldn't wear too items of the same color unless they matched EXACTLY. And, I see from your examples, that it really looks fine. The red outfit was a great example. In a way, it almost adds a bit of interest while still giving the benefit of the same color. Thanks so much for all that you do. Hard to believe that at my age, there are still so many tricks I can learn. :)

Kathy, it is one I bought from J Crew Factory this summer. I doubt that it is available at this time of the year.
I love the black outfit with the red ruana, so pretty and festive. I also love the jeans with the navy blouse and blazer. My problem is that the family will all be here and I'll be cooking and so I will be too hot to keep my third piece on. I usually swap my sweater out for an apron (a red festive one that says "Making things Merry") and then I forget to put the completer piece back on.
I probably wouldn't wear these outfits for cooking, more for going to a party , shopping, or out to eat.
