    The thing that kinda sucks is that so many reactors go into this film KNOWING theres a twist coming somewhere, somehow. @rayward43 2 месяца назад +2

      Never realized this through multiple watches and then, once I heard this, you cannot watch it the same way again. It's forehead-slappingly obvious once you know. It's how Marla is in the Narrator's meditation, and why no one else interacts with Marla, only the Narrator and Tyler.

    • @MyLiverismyEnemy
      @MyLiverismyEnemy 2 месяца назад +13

      @rayward43 someone interacts with Marla. At the restaurant while the Narrator is trying to talk to Marla, she orders food including clam chowder and the waiter looks directly at her and nods. And while you could explain that away by the Narrator imagining seeing things from the outside like he does with Tyler, he immediately tells the waiter "Clean food, please." And the waiter responds "If so, I would suggest *the lady* not have the clam chowder."
      He directly responds, acknowledging her presence in the situation and referring to her as a wholly separate person. The only thing that would invalidate that is if there are many more people the Narrator is imagining, which would make pretty much the whole story a dream.
