Excellent man! As a guitarist myself, this was always the Mount Everest of guitar solos to conquer back in the 80s (yeah, I’m that old). I was learning this solo when it was still newly released. I remember getting that live album and being blown away by that solo and just had to learn it. Our band already had Rock Bottom in our nightly play list, but I was playing the studio version of the solo, which is still great, but much shorter. I couldn’t wait to add this new solo into the song. Of course it made the song a lot longer, but fuck it, I wanted to do it, so the crowd would just have to endure. It work out though because I usually got a standing ovation for the solo, so that was cool. Michael Schenker is one criminally underrated guitarist and I understand why that is. He did in his own career for a long time with his drinking and bad attitude, but I’m glad to see he cleaned up and has made a grand comeback. He is a legend and should be considered so and you did one fine job on Michael’s greatest live solo for Rock Bottom. Way to go! Keep up the great work.

I have been working on playing this great track for years. I like to mix some of the best parts from the studio version with the live Strangers In The Night version. I still have a long way to go - some parts are fairly straight forward - but I haven't yet figured out the more difficult sections ...
If that's literally all you ever did in your life was that right there you win. For my money one of the hardest versions of that song bar none. You even picked up the hiccup in early pull off at the start of the solo. Baron von tone
@@112233ken You have some real talent. I love UFO and still listen to "Strangers in the Night" all the time. When you are playing your Flying V, is the guitar track silenced so only the vocals, bass, and drums are in the background?
Thanks for your comment! When I play the guitar, I use the normal sound source. The guitar in this sound source is not silent. It's difficult for me to silence just the guitar that is the sound source!
What do you think of Michael Schenker in terms of skill/ability compared to Jimi Hendrix, Eddie Van Halen, Jimmy Page, Ritchie Blackmore, Billy Squier, etc?

I also own a 2023 Epiphone Korina, it's really like a Gibson, fantastic guitar, just the brand is different (and it wasn't made in USA). I play both my Gibson and the Korina most, since I keep them in their case, I only grab another guitar when I'm lazy 🤣 Next on my wanted list is the Gibson Flying V new 70s white model 🤘😎🤘
