Baffles me to Richard. 👍🇬🇧
To set the points you need a bulb connected to 2 wires .1 wire connected to live on point and other too N .rotate flywheel F mark and bulb should light if corect .to achive this move the points back plate clockwise or anti and lock
I read up on mine in the manual and 8 hours later I haven't got the sweet spot, so don't beat yourself up about it!
Btw, you didn't show down below the index pointer at the 6 o clock position where the stator F mark has to line up.That's crucial too?
What’s the torque specs for the head holds on this cylinder head?
18 NM if memory serves. It's covered in pt20 I think
Is it normal on a 78 honda xl 125 to have oil in the flywheel case ?? or do I need new crank seals??
If it's the same engine, and I think it is, then yes it's normal to have oil on both sides of the engine. There are no crank seals.
Oil inside is normal
