Brilliant video Richard, I have a 1975 CB 125 S and love the bike so much fun. I have more fun on small capacity bikes than my 72 Bonneville. Thanks for sharing with us all . 👍🇬🇧
dear sir, read your comment with great interest....I am rebuilding a 1976 CB125J fitted with a CG125 engine and electrical system.... I also own a 1972 T120R Bonnieville....strange or what....
Thank you for the feedback, it's always pleasing when someone finds them helpful. Good luck with the build, it would be interesting to hear how it goes.
Wow! I have a 1975 CB125s that was in a barn since 1978! It only has 844 miles on it. I am just now tearing down the engine. Luckily, nothing has been touched on it. At the same time, nothing wants to unscrew because no one else mested with it.......
question but is this the same engine that came in the cb100 or is it the same rebuild steps, I'm a car mechanic and adventuring into my first motorcycle build
Hello Richard have found a mystery part in the box of engine bits, I didn’t strip the bike was wondering if i email a pic if you recognise it please thanks
Hola!
Mine came out without a fight. TBF someone had been in before me and changed the piston a few years earlier. If you have stripped the threads, it shouldn't be too hard to helicoil the case to reinstate the bolt. Good luck 🍀
@@brysono3652 which part of the bike is rusty? If it's the frame and other steel parts, I use a wire wheel on a drill, followed by a treatment of phosphoric acid and then etch primer.
Richard Weeks well really the whole bike, the engine, the frame, the wheels, really everything, it’s been outside ever since maybe 1977-80, it was my grandpas old bike, he’s been helping me a good bit but i’m doing the engine mostly on my own, i’m 16, but your videos make it a lot easier to know how to understand it
One of the worst engines honda ever made .with the CG being one of the best ! The cam used to gouge into the head writing both off if aloud to get low in oil. also the stator was troublesome
Got a cb125 for free from a friend at work because he no longer had the time to work on it. These videos are absolute life savers
Really pleased that they are of some use to you. You may want to post a short video of the finished project when done. Regards Richard
I got a cb125s and I'm in a rebuild prosses and these videos were very helpful.
They are fun little engines to work on

I believe that they are essentially the same engine just a smaller capacity
Enjoy the build

@@richardjweeks gracias! Amigo. Ya encontré la técnica para anular el sistema de ensendido de platino y pasarla en electrónico.
that last bolt that you said you missed towards the beginning of the video, how did you get it out, i’ve all but stripped mine haha

Richard Weeks i got it out, your vids are helping a lot though, i got a 1973 cb125se
Richard Weeks and i have major rust and at the moment i’m using a brillo pad and water, what’s your best bet to get rust off?

Hi, can you help me. I want parts for my 1977 Honda 125 SEBE motorcycle. Please contact me
Most parts for this motorcycle are available from internet suppliers. Try wemoto and David silver spares.

So I hear, I do intend on changing the oil ever 500 miles, it only takes a litre so no drama.
