Really enjoyed your video of this region. So you talk about the quick changing weather so it is not that much different than England))) I will say that Orthodox churches were originally wood with some great ones in both Ukraine and Russia. Though this and Lyviv oblasts there are a lot of Cathlolic churches. My Girlfriend is Ukrainian and we both have chosen to relocate to Yaremche. So I came to find out what it is like and come across your video. Even with the dreadful pot holes it is still an inspiring region. Here in England I thought there were bad potholes but now they do not look that bad)). As a Russian Orthodox I was brought up painting eggs for Easter but seeing the painted egg museum really supprised me to see the variations and beauty. Since adolesence I have always wanted to live in a log styled cabin and be surrounded by more traditional buildings like we see here, rather than the concrete block building we see in Europe today. Your video has definately made me even more interested in visiting the Ivano-Frankivsk oblast. My girlfriend spends winter holiday here for snowboarding and fell in love with it. Thanks for this great video, looking forward to wantching others you take.

Hello David thanks for sharing your experiences so pleased our video was helpful. Yes the weather is not so different to England haha. We had a wonderful time in the region and Ukraine in general. The pot holes in England are getting worse but never as bad as there! We do hope you are both keeping safe and pray this war ends. Take Care.

hi, just planning drive from budapest to lvov or lviv this summer. want to ask about safety. sort of , is there criminal elements hunting on foreign tourists? is it safe to stay in campervan overnight in bushes or petrol station ?

Hello not really familiar with driving that route I am afraid but I imagine. We found Ukraine to be very safe particularly Lviv but as with any country you need to use common sense with valuables. I am sure someone on here will be able to add on the staying overnight part. Have fun Lviv is incredible! I take you have watched all our Lviv videos?

My girlfriend, a Ukrainian, who lives in Sambir texted me to say she had her handbag stolen by a guy, no violence though. Police there said that the guy was part of a criminal gang working out of Lviv. However, you get criminal gangs working on Spanish beaches and in most countries. You just need to be vigelent, but do not let this darken your trip. I was supposed to be going out to Lviv oblast this month to meet her parents but President Putin changed these plans(( I hope your driving holiday to Lviv is a success and that you enjoy it.
