On November 30, 2013, at about 3:30 p.m. PST, Paul Walker (40) and Roger Rodas (38) left an event for Walker's charity, with Rodas driving his Porsche Carrera GT. In a 45 mph speed zone on Hercules Street in Valencia, California, the car crashed into a concrete lamp post and two trees and caught fire. Both men died at scene.
The curve where Walker and Rodas were killed is a popular spot for drifting cars. No alcohol or other drugs were found in either man's system and neither mechanical failure nor road conditions appeared to play a role. Police found no evidence of drag racing. The investigation concluded that the car's speed - between 80 mph and 93 mph - and age of the tires were the primary reasons for the crash.

I gotta say that chase was probably one of the most realistic chases ever in a fast furious film well until they played a game of chicken like dummies or they were trying to kill each other 🤷♂️.

I bought the 1:18 scale 70 Road Runner for this FnF version. Super high quality. Actually, I have a ton of road runner stuff. I obsess about this machine.
I bought the 24 scale AMT 1968 Road Runner kit to build for my Dad's 2020 Christmas Present. It's his dream car. I even have Metallic Orange Tamiya Spray Paint for it.
I am obsessed with this car as well, I wanna find one and have it painted the same color with the same rims

Me too, so I got a 1:1 scale 1968 Road Runner. Same six pack hood and burnt orange as Dom's car. Mine is not so pristine, but is a good 20 footer and the modified 383 sounds beastly.

I could be wrong, but i think the '70 Plymouth Road-Runner is one of the most underrated muscle cars out there, since it's not usually featured in a lot of movies and video games. I could be wrong, though.

They're actually pretty hollow compared to modern cars, plus they crashed these cars for real so it's about as realistic as you can get.
old cars crumbled in car crashes pretty easily, you can watch videos online of crash tests. this scene may be over the top but it actually gives the image how safe cars have become lol.
Old cars had a strong heavy body panels but the rigidity of the chassis is nowhere near to modern cars
