Ordered the signed vinyl without hesitance! - I wish i could reach you Beth Roars the Mighty, because i have more ideas for rewievs and ideas for the Scandinavian folkmusic names you might want to have a look at - You do an amazing job, and you are the only (got no idea what to really call what you do) voice reaction channel that makes sense to me. I learn a LOT about vocal appreciation from you, and i am no expert and would not claim to be so, but i am a great (autistic) collector of music with a lot of passion for the Scandinavian music scene and historical music and metal and......... okay basically i am a vocal fan in a lot of genres aslong as i get impressed by vocals! - Anywho peace out, i'll be watching and wishing for some vocalistic interaction because i would like to connect you with all sorts of singers. - Beth, I love your mind and knowledge and evenmore empathy, you (and your HB) are more than good!
German has a word for some of what you're feeling: Fernweh. There's no exact translation, but it comes close to "longing for somewhere you've never been".
Funny sidenote, In danish 'Ulvetime' is mostly used when referring to overly tired children and restless animals spazzing out and climbing on the ceiling. Hyperactive restlessness or overly moody behaviour due to tiredness.
Beautiful...what an unexpected surprise! Thank you for the wonderful reaction, I'm glad you enjoyed the song so much! The acient instrument Maria is playing is called a Tagelharpa (swe/nor) or Jouhikko(fin).
Thanks for sharing this! It was a great discovery for me, love the tribal sounds and the atmosphere that they created live, great great reaction beauty Beth 😊Take Care!!!
I'm an American, and I always considered myself a "mutt", because I'd never worried about my cultural heritage. A few of my family members were more interested, and it turns out that I'm a lot less "mutt" than I thought. With the overwhelming majority of my heritage being traced to the Nordic regions. When I learned this, it was just a data point. Then I stumbled onto Wardruna while listening to as much Aurora as I could. It was a compelling experience that made me look into other Nordic Folk bands. That's where I found Heilung's Anoana. I love music, and I let myself get lost in music often, but it was far more than just a song. It felt like harmony.
Such a beautiful song and I love anything with an octave mandolin. I really appreciate what you said about how our minds are working perfectly, we just need to change our perspective on them. I have OCD, ADHD, and depression and a big part of my therapy journey has been learning to accept, understand and work with them instead of fighting them or trying to get rid of them.
Yes! Finally!!! I bought this album even before release to support Marias project, it is soooooo good, and Maria is amazing - I got all albums she has been on, like Ehwaz, Euzen, Valravn, Songleikr (means song games/play) and obviousloy Heilung.
The instrument is called a tagalharpa it is an old traditional Scandinavian instrument. It uses horse hair for the strings and the bow. You put pressure on the string to change the note. The other two are drone strings, but you can play them as well if you please, but that isn't what is traditionally done.
@@guitaleleoeuvre It is a bowed lyre. Whether it is a Talharpa/Tagelharpa/hiiu kannel/stråkharpa or a Jouhikko/jouhikannel/jouhikantele, they are both a bowed lyre.
If you're going with a wolf theme, I would invite you to check out "Lobo" by Rainover. It's a Spanish goth-metal band and I think they'll grow on you. "Awoo-hoo! Awoo-hoo! Hear my call..."
With the opening "Aw-whoo", I thought that I was about to hear a rendition of the Swedish hit, "Werewolves of Lund"...on the topic of 'wolves', the Scottish Celtic-rock band, Wolfstone, are named after, "the Wolfstone", a Pictish stone originally sited at Ardross, Easter Ross, close to where the band initially recorded.
Buckle up. Do you actually belive in the future? You know the song: " The future's so bright, I gotta wear shades"? Anyway: Most music written don't match the reality we're facing. It's mostly about dreaming of alternatives or daydreams. You won't find much in the woods. Or in the mountains. Or at the seashores. The root in this kind of music, is the longing for the divine. Not all the fake stuff.
Reaction is defined as: an action performed or a feeling experienced in response to a situation or event. Critique is defined as: an analysis and assessment of something. 100% of "vocalists" on RUclips do not seem to understand the difference. It would be nice to put "reaction" and "critique" both in the Title. Why, you may ask? Because many of us do not care to hear a critique.

I LOVE everything Maria Franz does, such a great talent.
German has a word for some of what you're feeling: Fernweh. There's no exact translation, but it comes close to "longing for somewhere you've never been".
The instrument she is playing is the talharpa, the Scandinavian bowed lyre.
I gotta get one! (Make one?)
Tagel*
I am thinking it more so resembles a Jouhikko.
As the wikipedia states, a close relative of the talharpa.
@@Kraakesolv As far as I know, both talharpa and tagelharpa are correct
@@guitaleleoeuvre grimfrost started selling them. they're all sold out at the moment but hopefully they restock
Maria Franz is just fantastic no matter what she does.
Funny sidenote, In danish 'Ulvetime' is mostly used when referring to overly tired children and restless animals spazzing out and climbing on the ceiling.
Hyperactive restlessness or overly moody behaviour due to tiredness.
I adore this song. Maria is so talented. I got to meet her twice last week when I saw Heilung in St. Louis and Kansas City. She's ridiculously sweet.
I saw them in KC 2 weeks ago. What a show.

The song is about lying awake at night because you thoughts are going everywhere, and I think it is great that it had that exact effect on you.
What Maria does with her voice is insane. She can take you on a journey.

Maria Franz is amazing, truly.
Songleikr's album "Godtfolk" is worth a listen.
i am glad to find your channel again ... this Music fits you perfectly ... i love to see you reaction and your thougts on this ...

Ulvetime is the hour before dawn and the hour before sunset (where everybody has to shop, collect kids, make dinner)
A very nice performance, I like it. 🖖❤
Ahhh i love this song so much!!!! ❤
Another music to keep in the wolf theme "Sonata Arctica- Blood". Almost every sonata album cover has wolves in it.
Loved the single ❤
Olá ,react um cantor brasileiro chamado ''Ricky Vallen'' Música : the show must go on,obrigado
But you already have a superpower, Beth: The power of song.
Please react to anything by the metalcore band Wolves at the Gate!!! 🙏🙏🙏. "A Voice in the Violence" or "The Bird and the Snake" would be great ones.
As hecho que me guste y me llame la atención la cultura Celta gracias mi H. Prrj ❤ bien Beth 👏👏🍀🍀
I want that instrument she is playing!
(I love "bowed" sounds, but I never really got into violins/fiddles very much aesthetically. This, however looks kinda like a lyre!)

Heidevolk - A Wolf In My Heart.
Thanks
PLEASE a Video about how to do Throat Singing (Kargyraa, Khömey and Sygth)! I hope I wrote it right

Please do an analysis of Jennifer Jones The Future ain’t what it used to be. She is fantastic
Have you ever reacted to phillip Bailey , Easy Lover , Reasons with EWF etc ? ❤❤❤
Hi Beth, back in 2020 you reacted to Ernie Zakri. Please react to her English single 'The Best' (music video). Thank you.
Florence and the machine, Howl... And then The Cramps, I was a teenage werewolf
will you be reacting to the recent Beatles song?
Tagelharpa is perhaps the most metal of all acoustic instruments. Similar to the cello
I am thinking it more so resembles a Jouhikko.
As the wikipedia states, a close relative of the talharpa.
If you don't get something out of this musical piece....check your pulse.
if you can, make a reaction video on 'Tum Prem ho reprise' by 'Mohit Lalwani'.
Trust me you won't be disappointed ;)
Gonna react to the new Beatles song? The whole world 🌎 is talking about it 😊
Your the only 1 it's on the news lol
Awolnation, hollow moon (bad wolf) . Tuneage is better than the video.

Except this song was in the process of beeing writing when she was 21 and met her soulmate Cristopher Juul
