Ah bringing me back memories back from 2015...Used to stay at a hotel nearby in Avenel and used to commute regularly to NYC from Rahway station. Similar vibes with me recording, taking pics of trains running on the fast lane while waiting.
@@MSRTA_Productions Yep and it’s ridiculous as hell. They may as well hold off on all testing before they fix every goddamn flaw that could possibly exist. This is just bullshit
our first trainset of TGV-M (Avelia Horizon, sister train of Avelia Liberty) is assembled in La Rochelle Alstom plant. The first power car was transported from the Belfort factory where the power cars are built. Very nice video. Thanks for sharing this! Why are so many trains in New Jersey?? It is busiest days. Lots of people who taking a trains. I did see high speed rail.
Northern New Jersey has a ton of rail lines run by NJ transit that run into NYC. The North East Corridor also runs through a large chunk of New Jersey which is why you see Acela. That line runs from NYC (originates in Boston) to Washington DC.
I’m so jealous of the northeast corridors long straight lines of multiple track. Our population amount is way less significant but I do wish that the northwest between Portland, Seattle, and Vancouver had something. Amtrak cascades has to wait behind freight trains and meander along super curved routes. The route has a few cities but in between those cities are nothingness of just endless forests and floodplains
They're push-pull trains, so they can run in either direction. If the locomotive is at the front, they use its cab, otherwise they use a cab in the coach at the opposite end of the train. At the end of the line they don't turn the whole train around, the operators just walk to the other end of the train and head back the other way.
Why is Amtrak running head and tail engines on the Keystone trains so much? I thought it was maybe the cab cars were in short order but nope. 2 of the 4 Keystone trains with head/tail engines still had the cab cars in place, while the other two were single engine. I'm seeing the head and tail configuration more and more on Keystone trains and can't come with a reason why. This has started happening somewhat recently.
@@FanRailer PTC I assume? Jesus even NJT complied quicker with their fleet. Seems like a lot of unneeded mileage on the Sprinters and stretching their availability thin.
There are no trains going backwards in this video, but I think you mean the cab cars. They added cab cars so they could save time at dead-end stations they have build in cabs where the train driver can sit in and control the train
It’s clearly morning rush hour, that’s why it’s surprising to not see loads of ppl there. This is around the time people are GOING to work not already at work
This place is like a racetrack! You got multiple trains coming from each direction. Great video!
fr i even said that
Then why is it like a racetrack? Cuz on a racetrack they only go 1 direction

Sure would love it if Amtrak quit delaying the Avelia Liberty’s debut..
Yeah but flaws kept kicking in. So now it's pushed back to next year.

hey! i sure miss the toasters!!
….and how do you suppose they find flaws in the design if they don’t test the train???
I work on the njtransit trains and still never gets old watching them move.

Nice footage man... Some of those trains rip through there. First time viewing your channel... 👍🚂👍
Cool catches! Glad we were both able to see the Amtrak Avelia
Very interesting…those locos look like the German 101 range with taller pantographs. Really nice viewing spot.🇬🇧
It's the popular Bombardier Traxx locomotive. It's been sold to many countries under its different variants.
@@osasunaitor the ACS-64 are German BR193 and ALP-64 are German BR101.
The ALP-64 and BR101 are not a Traxx!
Third. Nice to see the now 2 years delayed Avelia Liberty running again.
Love seeing Amtrak & NJT at speed! 👏👏👏

Nice video, Jersey bound, Land of the Strong Ones💪🏾👏🏾, Exit 9 here🛣️
NJT North Jersey Coast Line connects with Amtrak's Northeast Corridor at nearby Union Interlocking just south of Rahway Station!
15:30 that new Acela train looks clean 🤘
That New train at the end of the film the blue and white carriages remind me of our British rail colours of the 70/80s
Nice Video. Greetings from Berlin/ Germany. Sven
Awesome trains 👌
The Acela is very fine 👌
amazing quality of your camera !! Can you please describe witch body and lens are you using here? Thanks in advance!
When is the avelia coming back up?
Why do some trains use bells and others don't? Great video.
Trains use bells entering stations as part of the FRA rules
I would love to find out a schedule on when the Avelia train does tests at whichever area.
There is no schedule for the tests.
Just wondering, how do you tell if the avelia is coming?
Love from India bro🇮🇳
Wait. Was that door at the power car of that Avelia opened?
Was that intentional, or the driver/engineer just forgot to close it, LOL.
great video :)
I wonder why they keep pushing the Avelia back.
the power car reminds me of the AVG stock running in Italy
I wonder why do some of the NJ Transit consists have the locomotive at the back instead of the front.
Maybe they're just heading back down the route because it ended. This happens with other trains too

a great catch
