Good luck with your exam!
Hi, please can you do a video on unit 5 learning aim D. I would really appreciate that like what to include to get higher marks how to lay it out?
Thanks for the request. I am currently working on this and hope to upload it over the weekend/ early next week.
@@AlansLessons Thank you so much. You don't understand how much these videos are helping me and everyone else ! I wish I had a teacher like you. As my teacher doesen't teach us at all!
thank you so much this really helps
Glad it helped!
Hi, I noticed that on a few questions you didn't link to the person, for example at 15:30 my initial thought was that I would have to somehow link attachment back to Josh. I So, how do you know when to link back to the person? Does it specify that in the question and is his name just there to throw us off? I have my mock tomorrow and this video is really helpful for revision, thanks (:
Hi Sefe,
You are correct, it would be important to ensure you are referring back to the characters and in this case ideally I should have made reference to Josh using his as part of my explanations / examples
@@AlansLessons Okay, thank you!😊
for 1f could you also say that bowlby's theory of primary care giver being the mother is outdated i.e same sex relationships?
Yes, that’s a good criticism of the theory.
very helpfull thank you
Glad it helped!
Hi, can you do the 2021 January paper? This really helped me thank you, god bless you
It will be uploading it at the beginning of January :-)
Thank you so much☺️
You’re welcome 😊
pls do more of these for unit 1
hey! cool video and thanks a lot but at 4:30 you did get the lifestage ages correct at first but then you changed them and got them wrong, i just thought you wanted to know.
Can you go through unit 2 working in health and social care (2021 January)?
I will try to do this video soon
@@AlansLessons thankyou this should really help for my test this week. Not sure what the questions will be like as my teacher is making them up which worries me slightly!
I’m sure your teacher will make questions in the same style of the exam paper.
I have another set of videos looking at a paper I created in the exam style and answering those. Might be helpful with your prep for the test!
@@AlansLessons yes thankyou I've already watched them haha just looking for extra questions. Would it be before Thursday by any chance. If not, is it possible to find the paper to practise anywhere?
Thankyou
Where can I find health and social care level 3 past papers?
They are normally located on the Pearson’s BTEC website. Some of the past papers will be locked so you might need to get someone at your school with an account to access these.
Hi, this is a great video it's helped me so much thankyou so much! just a quick question, on question 1D, when it says explain the difference in gross and fine motor skills in early childhood. You described what each motor skill is but i was wondering does it mean i have to describe what happen in early childhood and compare??
Thanks for spotting that. Yes, ideally the examples I should have given would have been specific to early childhood such as riding a bike or throwing/ catching for GMS, while the examples for FMS could be things like tie their shoelaces or write their name with a pencil.
@@AlansLessons Thanks so much Mr Alan! I got my mock exam in a couple weeks so I'm cramming in as much revision as possible 😀
@@AlansLessons quick question, i have my exam in 2 days timee! For the schema question 1c, you said that assimilation comes last. On my revision sheet it says assimilation is first, im really confused..
@@jannahshaikh7151 yes, I think a lot of the diagrams start with assimilation of knowledge. I like to start with equilibrium as the is the state of balance in the mind / understanding. As the process is a cycle it eventually leads to assimilation and then back to equilibrium.
@@AlansLessons thanks so much Mr Alan, so if i put equilibrium first on the test, I'll get the mark?
Hello sir, I’m currently struggling on unit 1 long answer can you make video on 10 marker for section A and B because I will have an real exam next month please

my exams got cancelled. and I feel so gutted.
sorry to hear that - hopefully you will get a chance to use all the revision & prep you have done!
I wanna ask everyone who's found btec if we don't like the results we get today can we resit
Yes if you are in year 12
Hi can you become a dentist if you are doing BTEC l3 sciense?
Thanks for your question. Most dentistry courses like students to have a biology and chemistry qualification. Most uni’s have slightly different entry requirements so it may be worth checking with specific uni’s if they you use the level 3 science.
Alternatively, if they won’t take it, most uni’s offer foundation level entry where you do an extra each before the course to cover the basics you need - these are also worth taking a look at :-)
Does anyone know what was in the janauary 2021 exam
Lots of short questions on usual topics like puberty, Piaget, life stages, predictable/ unpredictable life events.
The longer 10 markers were on Piaget & cognitive development; Gessel & maturation; impact of ageing populations; impact of being a carer, effects of living on low income/ poverty.
@@AlansLessons
Thank you
@@AlansLessons @Alan's Lessons Were there any other topics that also came up or the ones that you specified were the only ones
This was the whole paper for this year.
Can you also do ethical theories
Is this for the coursework unit as I have done a video discussing the 4 ethical theories.
@@AlansLessons yes
ruclips.net/video/YT_cceZioJw/видео.html this video discusses the theories a bit
What exam board is this? Oh never mind it's Pearson
Is there a June 2020 paper?
Due to covid / lockdown there was not a June 2020 exam.
I have covered the Jan 2021 paper in another video.
And is this BTEC Health and Social Care Level 3
Yes
hi people from my class
Did you do the exam ? If so what type of questions were on it
Is this learning aim a,b and c?
Hi,
This is an exam paper walkthrough so would cover section A, B & C of the exam unit as questions in the paper cover all units.
@@AlansLessons omg thank you so much I have a exam in a few weeks and I’m so stressed this help me so much!!!!
Mine exam is tomorrow and i'm not ready for it
Don’t worry - most people feel like this before an exam. Just take your time with each question and try your best. Good luck!!
@@AlansLessons Thank you
If you dont mind me asking what was in the exam
@@roxanneroxy4017 it was on piaget theory of schemas, gisell, emotional and social development, dysfunctional family and how it can affect a child development, what would be the effects if pension decrease (something along those lines)

My exam is cancelled 😞
Sorry to hear that! Hopefully you will get a chance to have a go at an exam - even if it is just a mock paper!
