This video is probably the only video that shows a true bikepacking tour in Taiwan with tent on youtube. I'm going to Taiwan next week with tent and hopefully I can find some good camping spots near towns and ciites in order to be close to food and basic needs. Thanks Jin, you are true inspiration. I absolutely love your videos and find them soo interesting. I visited Taiwan a few years ago and did some cycling there but only a fraction of what you did. I distinctly remember how mixed the weather is there and coming from Ireland, was expecting a warmer climate. There is a long uphill road here in HK that I been wanting to ride for a long time but I would not even try because I knew I'm not that strong. But I then I saw this channel just last week and it inspired me and gave me courage to try. And now I just done it, so tired but also happy. Thank you very much for being an inspiration.
Hey Jin, I noticed your front end shimmiing a bit when you were going downhill no hands. Sometimes its the wheel out of true, a deformed(or unseated) tire. or just the frame reacting to the loads on it. Normally, I'd be concerned but you've been 'around the block' (kek!) so I'm sure you know your bike and your handling ability. Really gives me peace of mind to see how nice the Taiwanese Police were to you when you were in need and asked. :)

hope you didn't get a cold due to the cold weather. it's usually windy and rainy in the winter time of taiwan. if you got some time, u may want to visit Green island (綠島) & Orchid island (蘭嶼). stay safe & keep cycling!

taiwan is really a nice place. Friendly people, cute dogs, nice food, amazing nature. for camping sites, you can also look out for schools.
