- It's been a while since I visited my local Lowe's, so I took a quick trip to check out what they had in Clearance of course. But, also if they had any new house plants in stock. I did purchase a couple of clearance plants, so stay tuned till the end to find out what I picked up.

This is so me! at Lowes! I go once a week in Anderson, Indiana. The reduced section is the best. Clearance prices! Also, Home Depo for Cacti, I get planters with 6 Cacti and repot for $14!
I love checking out the clearance section first. I have been known to ask for discounts on plants that are not on clearance, but they look like they should be. I've never been denied a discount. LOL!
That Lowe's has such a great plant selection. The one near me has just a few plants and they are very neglected.

My city has 30,000 people. Your Lowe's is so much better than ours! I would want to spend way too much money there. Excellent choices!
You are so sweet. These plants have the potential for beauty. I got one of those beautiful variegated aloes. It was big like that too. Got it at Home Depot. It was very wet, so I brought it into my sun room. Thought I would let it dry out before transplanting. 1 1/2 weeks later the plant lost all its form. It rotted. I got a few of the pups out, put them in dry soil but they rotted as well. I have learned, depot plants, and let them dry out that way lol. I have not found another like that one. Have a great week.
That's too bad you lost the Aloe. I feel so bad for the plants when they are mistreated like that. You really want to save all of them!

Thanks Ruthie! I just saw your Walmart video and I need to check them out. I think Costa Farms is sending these plants to all the big box stores, but I think Walmart has the best price.

Carmen Whitehead I watched a live chat and they said that Dollar Tree had garden supplies coming in. According to their website they have the liners and wire baskets that you mentioned, they are not being stocked here ( Southern AZ ) until the beginning of February.
Haha at least you stuck w clearance. I went to get plant supplies but no plants at Lowe's yesterday and my bf was like "what're you looking at that for... You're on a no buy"

It was beautiful! For $99 it really wasn't bad, considering how old it is. But, I don't think I could get away with bringing that one home, at least not now.

Question...how do all those succulents and cacti stand the rain so well??
I keep a close eye on the weather. A little bit of rain is fine for them and I don't water them as usual. But, last month we got 3 days straight of rain, so I put up a couple of umbrellas for them and pulled some under cover. Rain is good, but too much is bad.
I've only seen the variegated lucky bamboos at Walmart.

It's only in effect because my daughter is getting married next month and all my extra money is going towards that. Otherwise, I would be bringing home more than clearance plants, trust me!
If you have an Aldi maybe it’s worth checking out their plants. They have started today a sale on some house plants for $12.99. I got a Snake plant and a huge Philodendron Hope

The plant you said l will never buy this plant again. You said so fussy. What happen to it.
That's the Zebra plant. I had a hard time with it's water needs. If I let it dry one day too long or water a little too much, it was very unhappy. In the end it shriveled up and died. 😪 I will say, that I bought it on an impulse because of it's beautiful yellow flower. I didn't do any research on it prior. If I had, I would of found multiple plant collectors complaining about the same thing.
