    With regards to non Disney hotels, I stayed in the Radisson Blu last week for my Disney trip. They run a free shuttle service every half hour until 10pm . It's very comfortable and quiet and if you like golfing, it's a great option.

    I would add on to number 10 to prep for the trip and figure out if premier access is necessary. On Magipark (which I know you use), don’t limit yourself to looking at the app and setting notifications on during your vacation. Do your homework prior to going. I just got back yesterday from DLP from a 5 day trip. The first 3 weeks of august I would set my notifications daily for the rides that were “must do’s” on my bucket list, and I tracked the wait time every Monday-Friday for 3 weeks to see what the typical wait times were, what time of day the line reached my desired wait time and usually how long it was at that wait time. I know it’s hard with work and family to sit there and monitor an app, but setting notifications really helps. Then you know if you favorite attractions have an ideal time to go or if it really is a ride that you “need” to pay to ride. In my opinion, if I really had to, the only ride I would pay for is Crush based on summer crowds. The rest of my favorite rides always had that optimal window to ride, even Big Thunder Mountain. We rode it 3 times in 4 1/2 days and never waited more than 20 minutes. The line during the day almost never went below 50 minutes except for those small windows that we charted.

      Hiya 😊 yeah that’s a good point actually. The planning is a very important part. Checking similar days your going and the wait times is a good thing to do. Thank you for bringing this up. Thank you for watching 😊 x

    Me and my mum are going to DLP in under 2 weeks. Staying on sight at Sequoia Lodge for 3 days 2 nights, we have booked breakfast for both mornings. Flying from Heathrow. We've only been once before April 2019, and that was a lovely time of year. It can be expensive depending on time of year. Thank you for the tips. 🥰 x

      Thank you, it was amazing. So glad we went for 30th. Very tired and busy 3 days. Due to the travel, we only had 1 full day and 2 half days. It wasnt enough for us. Hopefully looking at 4 days for out next trip (nothing booked yet). We should have visited Windsor Castle and the town on our return, but sadly got cancelled. We will be hoping to visit there soon. Im looking forward to the next DLP vlogs🏰🥰

    Absolutely fantastic tips, thank you so much for sharing, I ust wish you had created the video before our trip! One thing I would agree with is about Premier Access. For Crush's Coaster for a family of four it would have cost 72 euros, so if you can, arrive at the park around 30 mins before opening. The wait is a bit of a pain, but once we got in the park, it was around 15 minutes before riding. lastly, have a nice nap in the afternoon and avoid the burnout before returning for the evening! Thanks again for the great tips.

    • @sohelenaandmartyn
      @sohelenaandmartyn  Год назад

      Oh yes! Completely agree with all of your tips. We always take a midday break especially if the parks are open later. The early mornings are worth it to save all that money on premier access ☺️

    Ruddy marvellous tips guys! We splashed out on annual passes (the monthly payment option helped too as we’re a family of five adults) and stayed at the Hipark Adagio, which we really liked - an easy walk, and the shuttle buses were always on time. We would rather go more often than stay onsite. We did however spend a small fortune on water, so we’ll definitely be Googling those collapsible water bottles. Thank you SO much for sharing ❤️

      Thank you so much for watching Tracey. We’re glad we were able to give some helpful tips. Yeah, the collapsible water bottles sound like a great idea. We need to look ourselves. Yeah, that was our thinking with the annual passes. If you stay off site you can save but go more often. C

    When travelling by train, book ahead of time, cheapest tickets are available when tickets come on sale (usually 4 months in advance). When booking a last minute trip bus services like flixbus are really affordable compared to train.

    Some great tips but worth noting for anyone new to DLP that annual passes are restricted to booking 3 days. If you are planing 4+ then you’ll have to book the 4th day onwards while there! That can add stress, but staying on property overrides the need to book your days.
    Also, the Tesco club card points only transfer to the standard none refundable tickets not the flex ones on Euro Tunnel. This nearly caught us out when booking recently.
    When looking at school holidays don’t just look at U.K. ones, the French holidays run at different times and are a bigger nightmare than going when ours are active.
    A lot of offsite hotels have either a free shuttle or cheap shuttle to the parks and back, if you drive you can drive to the park and get cheaper or free parking if you like on your annual pass if you don’t like the public transport options or walking.

    • @Karideplov
      @Karideplov 2 года назад +1

      True. I just got back and purchased annual passes. We had mon-we’d guaranteed but we’re wait listed for Thursday and Friday. Thursday was confirmed the evening before but Friday was confirmed on Friday early afternoon. During busy times it is good to have a back up plan, I don’t think this is an issue during low season. For Easter I am thinking about doing a split stay. Offsite for our first nights and then onsite for our last 1-2 nights to guarantee access to the parks. It’s a pain to change hotels but helps keep costs low.

    I'm liking this video before I've even watched it all, because I know these tips will be great and I'm eager for any help I can get to make DLP affordable for next time. Like absolutely everything in the world, Disney is getting more and more expensive, and let's be honest, it was never cheap to begin with. Thanks guys!

    Great video! Also when the fountains are turned off again as they likely will be in winter you can fill up at the toilet sinks. It’s the same water as the fountains. I think the place Helena was trying to say is Val d’Europe not Marne La Vallee!

    Hi - thank you! Where is your favourite place to stay hotel wise when you're not staying on Disney property? I think you said one of the names but I missed it. I've been looking at places, but so many have mixed reviews, I'd rather take a recommendations from people directly! I know you have lots of experience staying offsite. Thank you!

    • @sohelenaandmartyn
      @sohelenaandmartyn  Год назад +3

      Hi Nat, hope you're well. There's two places we've stayed and would recommend. Hotel Dali is a really reasonable priced 4 star hotel but it is about a 15 minute drive away. If you want something closer and within walking distance we would say Hipark by Adagio Serris. The studio rooms come with a kitchenette and it's a 15 minute walk to the parks. Hope this helps. 😀 x
